Every BTS member's brand power ranked after military discharge; Jimin, Jungkook lead June K-pop reputation index

Indian Express22-06-2025
All seven members of BTS have returned home after serving 18 months in the military. With that, Jimin, Jungkook, RM, Jin, Taehyung, Suga, and J-Hope have made a collective comeback on June's brand reputation ranking, without even dropping any new music yet. The big return also sent HYBE's previously tanking stock soaring within days. The list was released by the Korean Business Research Institute, and the ranking is done for each K-pop idol individually based on their activity, consumer participation, media coverage, community buzz, and more. (Data collected between May 21 and June 21.)
Just days before, KBRI released the group ranking list, where BTS got edged out by rising K-pop boy band SEVENTEEN, recently named Global K-pop Stars of the Year by an American outlet. This latest list dropped just hours after Suga wrapped his public service and officially rejoined the group.

His brand index for June was 5,189,119, with a dramatic 86.60% spike. BTS' Jin followed at No. 6 with 3,221,688 points, taking the third-highest spot among the group. V, aka Kim Taehyung, snagged the No. 7 position with a score of 2,517,299. J-Hope, aka Jung Hoseok, fresh off wrapping his world tour, ranked 12th with 1,394,483 points. Meanwhile, RM and Suga landed at 15th and 16th with 1,283,645 and 1,218,910 points, respectively.
BIGBANG member G-Dragon is currently on his 'Übermensch' world tour, which has shot his brand value through the roof. The K-pop idol ranked third on the list with a reputation index of 4,521,564. Meanwhile, ASTRO's Cha Eun Woo, who is set to hold an individual fan sign before enlisting in the military later this year, followed with a score of 4,140,574. Wanna One's Park Ji Hoon climbed to number 5 with 4,026,558, riding high on the success of his Weak Hero Class 2 stint, an almost 80% spike from his May score. The reputation ranking was conducted across 755 active K-pop male idols.

Jessica Alba-Danny Ramirez dating? Who is he, what we know about their relationship

Jessica Alba seems to be enjoying single life, though that may not remain true for the actor for much longer! She has been spotted with Danny Ramirez on quite a few occasions, sending tongues wagging in Hollywood circles. Earlier in July 2025, news surfaced that Jessica Alba had traveled to Cancun with Danny Ramirez.(AFP) The Trigger Warning actor is getting out of a marriage that lasted almost two decades. Alba filed for divorce from Cash Warren on February 7, this year, and the two had tied the knot back in May 2008. The 44-year-old has three children with Warren – daughters Honor and Haven, and son Hayes. Alba was recently seen in a car with Ramirez after a dinner outing in Los Angeles, with the actor sporting a black top, and her companion going for a light-wash denim jacket with a gray baseball cap. Who is Danny Ramirez? Danny Ramirez, 32, is an American actor who plays Joaquin Torres or Falcon in the Marvel Cinematic Universe movie Captain America: Brave New World. He essays the same role in the Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Ramirez has also appeared in Top Gun: Maverick and HBO's The Last of Us. Interestingly, Alba too played a Marvel character, when she was seen as Sue Storm or Invisible Woman in Fantastic Four, but at that time, the franchise was not with Disney. Are Jessica Alba and Danny Ramirez dating? Alba and Ramirez's many outings would seem to suggest that the two are dating. Apart from the People report that they were spotted after dinner in a car together, TMZ also reported that Alba was seen kissing Ramirez outside his Los Angeles home. Earlier this month, a source had told People things were 'very new' between the two and 'they're having a good time together.' TMZ also reported that Alba had gone to Cancun with Ramirez, and at the time, a source close to the actor said 'She's been getting a lot of attention since the divorce.' 'She's flattered and definitely enjoying being single again, She's gone on some dates, but it's nothing serious — she's focused on herself and her kids. She's not interested in a relationship right now," the source added. Despite what the source is saying, TMZ obtained video also which showed Alba and Ramirez carrying a massive potted orchid plant, which has raised questions of whether the two are interior decorating together, perhaps signaling a new step in the relationship. On the work front, Alba will star alongside Orlando Bloom, for a thriller titled The Mark, which will begin filming in Australia this month.

Elon Musk opens a Tesla Diner in Los Angeles: Here's all you need to know about the retro-futuristic spot that's a peak Tesla tech experience

A humanoid robot serving popcorn on the roof deck, Cybertruck-themed food containers, a drive-in movie theater, and Tesla technology everywhere. Welcome to Tesla Diner & Drive-In, a new hotspot recently opened in Santa Monica, an upscale neighborhood in Los Angeles, California. Opened just last week, the diner is already drawing hundreds of visitors eager to experience the new 'retro-futuristic' restaurant that also serves as a charging station for Tesla EVs, with 80 Superchargers available in its parking lot. Elon Musk, owner of Tesla had been planning the diner since 2018. The Tesla Diner & Drive-In blends the nostalgic charm of a 1950s-style American diner with cutting-edge Tesla innovation. Located on Santa Monica Boulevard, it's open 24/7 and features both indoor and outdoor seating for up to 250 guests. But the Tesla Diner isn't meant to be just another American restaurant. It's been marketed as a 'retro-futuristic' drive-in experience , a place where you can enjoy a burger, watch classic films on giant screens, and charge your Tesla, all at the same time. It is a high-concept diner that combines Tesla technology under one roof. The diner is one of Musk's futuristic projects, though not as ambitious as putting humans on Mars or developing brain implants. Still, it's clear that the LA diner is intended as a clever marketing exercise for Tesla, whose car sales have continued to decline quarter after quarter. You don't need to own a Tesla EV to enjoy a meal at the diner, which helps extend the brand's appeal beyond just Tesla enthusiasts. Many of the customers drawn to the diner have been adults and new parents with babies. As guests enter the diner, they are greeted by servers on roller skates, who roll up offering ice cream samples. The drive-in projector plays the 1960s animated sitcom The Jetsons, a show that presented a vision of the future, complete with flying cars and a robotic housekeeper. Guests can order items from a kiosk at the counter. The menu, created by chef Eric Greenspan, features classic diner staples such as fried chicken and waffles, grilled cheese, and tuna melts, along with special themed items like the 'Tesla Burger' with 'Electric Sauce.' Prices range from $4 for a side of fries to $15 for biscuits and red gravy. The prices are neither too high nor too low but reflect typical LA standards. However, many diners were unimpressed with the food, calling it 'mediocre.' There were also complaints about long lines to enter the diner, which were reportedly caused by a technical glitch. Tesla's branding is visible throughout the diner, reflected in both the decor and overall atmosphere. The restaurant features a 360-degree rooftop, accessible via an all-white curved staircase lined with display cases showcasing robots. The rooftop offers comfortable seating and great views of the movie screens. At the bar is a Diner shop, where guests can purchase $40 Tesla Diner T-shirts and $175 levitating Cybertruck models. Nearby, there is a popcorn stand which is operated by Optimus, Tesla's humanoid robot. As soon as the diner opened in Los Angeles, videos of the place went viral across X, YouTube, and Reddit. Although Elon Musk is a controversial figure and not everyone agrees with what he says, that didn't stop hard-core Tesla fans and the general public from flocking to the retro-futuristic diner in the heart of Hollywood. Many, in fact, showed up in their Cybertrucks, hoping to make use of the brand-new Supercharger site. Should the diner become successful, Elon Musk posted on its social media platform X, the LA Diner will be the first among many. Tesla's swankily retro-infused diner is only available in Los Angeles, but as Musk indicated, he might open more diners around the world if the existing location proves to be a hit with local residents. Tesla is already selling its EVs in India, with its first store recently opened in Mumbai. A store in Delhi is also in the works and could open toward the end of July. Yunho's Journey: From K-Pop Superstar to Life Coach and Acclaimed Actor

When Your 4-Year-Old Song Suddenly Becomes Everyone's Life Manual Imagine releasing a song in 2021, thinking it's done its job, and then BAM! Four years later, it's trending worldwide because people are obsessed with your "life lessons." That's exactly what happened to TVXQ's Yunho with his track "Thank U. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now " The whole madness started when streamer LookSam reacted to the song, and fans became absolutely fascinated with the three structured life lessons in the lyrics: "Keep good things to yourself," "Bear sadness alone," and "Don't be swayed by trivial things." But here's where it gets hilarious - there was no "lesson 4," and the internet collectively lost its mind demanding to know what it could be. When Arena Homme Plus finally asked the burning question, Yunho's answer was both profound and brutally honest: "Endure and endure again." He explained, "I've been doing the same work for 20 years, and it's still difficult and exhausting. But when you endure, good things definitely come back to you." Talk about wisdom earned through experience! The viral moment caught Yunho completely off guard. "When I first heard the news, I was actually in Japan. I was pretty taken aback. Honestly, I'm still a bit dazed," he admitted. Sometimes the universe has the weirdest timing, doesn't it? Plot Twist: The K-Pop Star Who Mastered Gangster Dialect Like a Pro While the internet was going crazy over his life philosophy, Yunho was quietly proving his acting chops in a completely different arena. His role as Jang Beol Gu in the 1977-set crime drama "Low Life" has been earning serious critical acclaim, and honestly, it's a transformation nobody saw coming. On paper, Beol Gu might sound like your typical "all style, no substance" gangster character, but Yunho saw something deeper. "Beol Gu has circumstances that others don't know about. He has been treated like a scoundrel in the neighborhood his whole life," he explained. The character's stubborn belief that "someday I'll succeed no matter what and prove myself" clearly resonated with the actor. This wasn't just another role for Yunho - it was a deliberate challenge. "I've shown many sides of myself as an actor, but I wanted people to think, 'Yunho can do this too?' In that sense, 'Low Life' was a necessary challenge for me." Mission accomplished, we'd say! The Dedication Game: Flying to Mokpo Just to Perfect an Accent Here's where Yunho's commitment level goes from impressive to absolutely legendary. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now The drama required him to master the distinct Jeolla Province dialect, and this man didn't just watch YouTube tutorials or practice with coaches (though he did that too). No, he literally traveled to Mokpo for field research. Picture this: Yunho taking random taxi rides specifically to befriend local drivers and learn regional speech patterns. He maintained regular phone conversations with friends from Jeolla-do, working tirelessly to perfect not just the accent but the authentic feel of 1970s small-town Korea. The result? Viewers have been raving about his "spot-on" dialect work, with many noting how natural and authentic his performance feels. "Though he's a gangster, the character has a lot of warmth," Yunho shared, and that warmth clearly comes through in his portrayal. The Philosophy That Ties It All Together The convergence of "Thank U's" viral success and "Low Life's" critical acclaim isn't just a coincidence - it's the perfect example of Yunho's fourth life lesson in action. His philosophy of persistence has clearly shaped both his unexpected social media moment and his acting evolution. "I'm convinced that everyone gets their golden moment eventually. If things get tough, it's okay to rest - as long as you come back. And to do that, you have to take good care of yourself," he reflected. From facing early criticism about his acting abilities to now earning praise for nuanced dramatic work, Yunho's journey is literally his own advice playing out in real time. The fact that a 2021 song became a 2025 internet sensation while he simultaneously earned acting acclaim just proves his point about endurance paying off in unexpected ways. Sometimes the rewards come in forms you never anticipated - like becoming an accidental life coach while showcasing your dramatic range. Whether through viral wisdom or compelling performances, Yunho continues proving that genuine artistry comes from authentic experience and unwavering dedication to craft. Who knows what surprise he'll pull next?
