Turkish giants Fenerbahce — managed by ex-United boss Jose Mourinho — were hopeful of a cut-price £15million move.
However Juventus are now aiming to hold talks with Sancho's camp.
Napoli have also shown interest and United hope it might create an auction for a player who is surplus to requirements.
Sancho, 25, returned to United last month when Chelsea chose to pay a £5m penalty clause at the end of his loan agreement rather than the £25m to make the deal permanent.
It was the latest set-back for the former Borussia Dortmund winger who has struggled since making a £73m move to Old Trafford in 2021.
Sancho had an underwhelming loan spell in west London, scoring just five goals in 42 outings.
But one of those strikes came in Chelsea's Conference League final win over Real Betis.
And Sancho also managed to help himself to 10 assists under Enzo Maresca.

A move to Juventus would see Sancho link up with fellow Englishman Lloyd Kelly.

And he has been a regular under boss Igor Tudor, who replaced Thiago Motta in March.
Potential teammates also include ex-Aston Villa star Douglas Luiz and former Leeds loanee Winston McKennie.
While he could be joined at Juve by fellow Chelsea misfit Nicolas Jackson, whose place has come under threat from Liam Delap.

Wayne Rooney names Man Utd team-mate he was 'devastated' to see leave
Wayne Rooney has opened up about his partnership with Carlos Tevez at Manchester United and admitted he was "gutted" when the forward joined rivals Manchester City in 2009 Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney has admitted he was "devastated" when Carlos Tevez left the club to join local rivals Manchester City. Rooney and Tevez spent two seasons together at Old Trafford between 2007 and 2009. Along with Cristiano Ronaldo, the pair were part of a formidable attacking trio that fired United to two Premier League titles and a Champions League. However, Tevez was only at United on loan and he ended up joining rivals City in 2009 after the Red Devils failed to agree a permanent deal. Tevez went on to spend four years at City and notably helped them win their first league title since 1968 in 2012, with United finishing runners-up that season on goal difference. Reflecting on Tevez's move, Rooney told the BBC: "I was gutted to be honest. "I'm pretty sure Carlos wanted to stay at Manchester United. Man City at the time were trying to build and become competitive and I knew that he'd be a massive part of that because obviously the ability he has. "I think we've seen when he went there, he had some great times there as well. I was devastated, I would've really like him to stay longer and continue to play with him." Rooney also named Tevez as his "favourite strike partner to play alongside", claiming that most defenders "hated playing against the two of us". Rooney added: "When Carlos joined Manchester United, there was a lot of talk about whether Carlos and I could play up front together. "I was really excited when we signed him. We were similar in ways how we played - both worked hard and could both play as a nine, both play off the forward as well. We had a really good understanding and chemistry on the pitch, off the pitch. "I used to pick him up to take him to the airport before Champions League games. It was interesting actually because we couldn't really have a conversation. I think his English was better than he let on. "He's a player you'd always want on your team and he scored some great goals for us, at big moments for us as well. Two years at Manchester United - two league titles, the Champions League... he was a massive part of that. "I think Carlos was my favourite strike partner to play alongside. Most defenders we played actually hated playing against the two of us and we could feel that. We knew we were nasty as well. Very instinctive, intense, off the cuff. Anything could happen at any moment."

Marcus Rashford's latest Man Utd exit route as striker deemed too expensive
Manchester United continue to seek more firepower and could yet find it in Chelsea's Christopher Nkunku whilst Marcus Rashford continues to eye a new home after his loan ended Manchester United are edging towards a second summer deal as they close in on an agreement to land Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford. The Cameroonian would be the second forward to move to Old Trafford. Matheus Cunha has already arrived from Wolves and Cunha could follow for around the same price, which would take United's spending to over £100million. Ruben Amorim knows he needs a massive transfer window if he is to turn things around in Manchester. He is also looking to trim his squad and has a number of returning players who need to have their futures resolved. Marcus Rashford is back from his Aston Villa loan stint with plenty of noise surrounding his future. Antony has also returned from Spain. Chelsea opted against making Jadon Sancho 's loan a permanent switch and Alejandro Garnacho continues to frustrate the club's bosses and could be moved on. Here's the latest news coming out of Old Trafford. Newcastle join Rashford race Newcastle are showing strong interest in Rashford this summer with Caught Offside claiming the Magpies are making 'serious moves' to sign him as they look to bolster their squad ahead of another season in the Champions League. Rashford had been eyeing up a move for Barcelona, but that may fail to materialise as they consider other options. Newcastle are keen on ex-United man Antony Elanga but if they can't secure the Nottingham Forest winger then Rashford is on their radar. Eddie Howe would keen on a loan deal for Rashford, but that may be the sticking point with Manchester bosses wanting an end to the saga. As a result they may seek a permanent exit rather than another loan - leaving them to deal with a similar situation in 12 months time. Nkunku exit update Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has opened the door for Christopher Nkunku to leave the club this summer with those on the red side of Manchester said to be interested in the forward as they eye more options in the final third. Nkunku has struggled for regular game time since joining the Blues from RB Leipzig two years ago and when asked about the player's future, Maresca said: "If Christo is here with us, it is because we think he can help us and he can be with us even next season. But as you said, there are many speculations, not just about Christo, about many players. "And then if something is going to happen, I don't know because we said many times when the transfer window is open, anything can happen in terms of players that can arrive or players that can leave." Inter remain keen on Hojlund Gazzetta dello Sport claim Inter Milan are in constant contact with the Red Devils regarding a potential move for Rasmus Hojlund this summer. The Dane struggled in front of goal last season and United could cash in on the 22-year-old, which could help fund their summer business. Inter are closing in on a deal to sign Parma's Ange-Yoan Bonny, but the Champions League finalists are still ready to go after Hojlund. United's asking price of is thought to be around £38m, but that is more than the Italian wants to pay so they could propose a loan deal with an option or conditional obligation to buy.
