Netflix's ‘Stranger Things' Revisits Universal Studios Singapore's Halloween Horror Nights 13
Taking place from 26 September to 1 November, Halloween Horror Nights 13 is set for 18 nights of frights, with the Stranger Things-inspired attraction leading the charge. It will feature iconic locations from the acclaimed Netflix series, including the shadowy halls of Hawkins National Laboratory, Vecna's blood-red mind lair, and Starcourt Mall, alongside familiar abominations like the Mind Flayer and Demodogs.
The themed installation marks Universal Studios Singapore's fourth collaboration with Netflix, following haunted houses modelled after Korean global hits Sweet Home and All of Us Are Dead for Halloween Horror Nights 12 and 11, respectively, as well as the first Stranger Things experience.
Joining the flagship experience are Singapore's Most Haunted: Build to Horror, focusing on unsuspecting residents living on a burial ground for unclaimed bodies who are possessed by a demonic sinseh; The Realm of Yokai scare zone, which puts spirits, demons, and forgotten creatures from Japanese folklore front and centre; and the FEARground scare zone that adds a nightmarish touch to carnival and circus acts.
Two brand-new live shows are also due to make their debut: Dare or Die Live!, described as a 'chaotic spectacle [that is] equal parts horror gameshow and deranged fears of fear, and Once Upon a Time…to Die, centring on the mutilated master of time, Mr Rabid and his plan to steal life-altering items from innocent fairytale legends.
'Time is the greatest enemy and survival is simply an illusion,' reads the official description for Halloween Horror Nights 13. 'As the seconds creep towards the cursed 13th hour, fans will confront a multiverse of terror in haunted houses, scare zones, live shows, and an immersive bar experience. With every tick, a new hellscape emerges. With every tock, demons creep closer to claim new souls.'
Admission starts at S$58 for non-peak nights and S$68 for peak nights, with early bird tickets going on sale from 13 July for a limited time on the Resorts World Sentosa website and official ticketing partner Klook. Guests who purchase the newly launched Universal Studios Singapore Season Pass can enjoy exclusive offers on select tickets, which must be purchased separately, and unlimited entry to the premises for six months as part of a larger celebration of the country's 60th birthday.
More information about the remaining haunted house experiences will be revealed on the event page. As for Stranger Things, the fifth and final season is scheduled for a three-part release: the first four episodes on 26 November, another three on Christmas Day, and the finale on New Year's Eve.

Sony Animation's 'KPop Demon Hunters' Rises To Netflix's Most-Watched Original Animated Film Of All Time
It seems slaying charts and demons is no longer a thing of fiction for Sony Animation. The studio's surprise animated hit, Kpop Demon Hunters , has become the most-watched original film in Netflix history after achieving two major milestones: topping the streamer's chart in 41 countries in its opening week and reclaiming the No. 1 spot in its fourth week of release. More impressively, the movie continued to enjoy a rise in viewership during a time when it would typically be on a decline, chalking up another 26.3 million views for the period of 21 to 27 July and marking its sixth week in the top 10 charts. As of the time of writing, it now stands at No. 2 globally on the English Film list, behind the Adam Sandler-starring pic Happy Gilmore 2 . 'It's the moment! KPop Demon Hunters is Netflix's most-watched original animated film of ALL TIME,' reads the official announcement post on X/Twitter. The catchy music used in and written for the musical adventure is also holding its reign across various charts. 'Kpop Demon Hunters' is the highest-charting soundtrack of 2025 so far, with the majority of its songs currently on the Billboard Hot 100, including the first-place 'Golden' and 'Takedown', the opening number performed by popular girl group Twice's Jeongyeon, Chaeyeong, and Jihyo. Directed by Maggie Kang, who was head of story for The Lego Ninjago Movie , Kpop Demon Hunters centres on a fictional K-pop girl group, HUNTR/X (pronounced 'Huntrix'), who lead double lives as demon hunters, and face off against a rival boy band called Saja Boys, whose members are secretly demons. While primarily in English, it includes Korean dialogue and cultural nods, including dokkaebi, or goblins, the jeoseung saja, the Korean equivalent of the grim reaper (and the inspiration behind Saja Boys), and real-world locations like Namsan Park. Arden Cho ( Teen Wolf ), May Hong ( High Maintenance ), and Ji-young Yoo ( Moxie ) lead the voice cast as vocalist and overall leader Rumi, visual-slash-main-dancer Mira, and rapper Zoey, respectively. The trio are joined by other notable industry faces, such as Squid Game star Lee Byung-hun as antagonist Gwi-ma, actor-singer Ahn Hyo-seop ( Business Proposal ) as Jinu, leader of the Saja Boys, Daniel Dae Kim ( Hawaii Five-O ) as Healer Han, and Ken Jeong ( Crazy Rich Asians ) as Bobby, the manager and main representative of HUNTR/X. Renowned K-pop producer Teddy Park contributed to the soundtrack with his work on 'Golden', Soda Pop', and more, while previous songs like Exo's 'Love Me Right', Twice's 'Strategy, and MeloMance's 'Love Maybe', which most would recognise from the Korean drama Business Proposal , were also featured in the film. The popularity of KPop Demon Hunters caught the world by storm, owing to striking visuals, an interesting premise, and a blend of humour and emotional moments. It has been well-received by audiences and critics alike, scoring 97 per cent critic score and 92 per cent audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, and a 7.7 average rating on IMDb. Rotten Tomatoes describes its story as follows: 'When they aren't selling out stadiums, K-pop superstars Rumi, Mira and Zoey use their secret identities as badass demon hunters to protect their fans from an ever-present supernatural threat,' a description of the film from Rotten Tomatoes reads. 'Together, they must face their biggest enemy yet — an irresistible rival boy band of demons in disguise.' 'Stranger Things 5' Will Not Have Mini-Movie Episodes
Though rumours have been swirling about the length of Stranger Things Season 5's upcoming episodes and how they will have the durations of feature films, co-creator and showrunner Ross Duffer has come out to dispel the speculations. Ross Duffer at the 2017 San Diego Comic Con International for Stranger Things 2 Ross of the Duffer brothers, known for their work on projects as a pair, especially as the creators and directors of the Stranger Things series, expressed through his Instagram stories that it was 'not even close to accurate', with a screengrab of the fake graphic that had been circulating the internet. The original post had been making the rounds on X, formerly Twitter, and made the audacious claim that each episode would run above two hours on average, with the finale supposedly even hitting three hours. The graphic was even designed to look similar to Netflix's posts, thus successfully duping some fans online. Finn Wolfhard and Millie Bobby Brown in Stranger Things Season 4 The graphic's ability to fool the public was also due in part to statements by a couple of cast members who had teased long runtimes to various media outlets. Maya Hawke, who plays Robin Buckley, had stated during a podcast episode with Podcrushed that Season 5 production was like making 'basically eight movies', saying that 'the episodes are very long'. This sentiment was echoed by Finn Wolfhard, who plays Mike Wheeler, in an interview with Collider earlier this year, where he stated that 'not every episode is like a full-blown movie, but there are definitely some episodes this year that the runtime is definitely film-length. When all that adds up, I guess they're like little micro-movies.' While details about episode length remain firmly under lock and key, Duffer has been very assertive about Season 5, alleviating concerns of spoilers via his Instagram. 'Don't worry about spoilers,' he shared in his caption accompanying the show's teaser trailer, 'this teaser pulls from every episode except 7, but it's mostly Volume One and just barely scratches the surface.' Until a new trailer drops, fans can only try their best to bide their time like Hopper in the Russian prison, as Volume One of Stranger Things Season 5 will make its Netflix debut on 26 November 2025.
