Justin Timberlake Doesn't Sing During Live Shows
However, fans have been left disappointed by Justin's efforts at these shows, with the star going viral for his 'go girl, give us nothing' stage presence.
In multiple videos from various concerts, Justin can be seen hardly singing as he instead encourages the crowd to perform for him. In fact, Justin barely sings more than a handful of words throughout.
In a clip from his Romania show on July 17, the opening beat for his 2016 hit 'Can't Stop the Feeling!' starts playing, and Justin sings three words of the opening line before holding the mic out to the audience.
'I got this,' he begins, with the star concealed by a hooded jacket due to the rainy weather. Justin doesn't sing again for 20 seconds, where he delivers the first three words of the second verse, 'I got that,' and dances awkwardly in one spot.
This continues for the rest of the song, with Justin only singing two or three words at a time with long breaks in between.
There's a video of Justin doing the exact same thing at his Denmark concert on June 14, and again in Ireland on June 28 — although this time, he sang the opening three words and then pointedly put his microphone down on the stage and walked away from it.
And if you're wondering, 'Can't Stop the Feeling!' is not the only song that Justin gives this energy for, with videos from various other songs on his setlist showing a similar situation. One disappointed concertgoer captioned their video of Justin performing 'Cry Me A River' with: 'Justin 'I didn't know I was supposed to sing at a concert' Timberlake,' and the video certainly suggests exactly that.
Once again, the star can be seen walking across the stage and occasionally dancing while saying no more than two or three words at a time.
And when someone commented on the viral TikTok to claim that it had been cut 'just when he was about to sing,' the original TikToker replied with the receipts.
The second video immediately followed on from the first, and showed Justin sing: 'You were my' before stopping and walking away, occasionally delivering another word or two from the lyrics.Videos have also emerged of Justin performing his 2013 song 'Mirrors' in the same way.
Needless to say, people have been quick to roast the star in the comments of these viral TikToks, with one comment that has over 84,000 likes reading: 'I want a refund and I didn't even go😭'
Another that has over 312,000 likes points out: 'dude they're not paying to have a karaoke session with you😭''embarrassing, he thinks he can just show up and that's enough,' somebody else wrote, while another suggested: 'People should stop singing and see what he does 😂''Not even dancers, no show, no backup singers no singer guests... he wants to make maximum money with minimum effort,' one more claimed. Somebody else asked: 'So y'all paid to put on a concert for Justin Timberlake?"
Justin himself has not addressed the conversation surrounding his recent performances, and BuzzFeed has contacted his rep for comment.

Justin Bieber Admits He Can Be 'Extremely Selfish' in Personal Message
Originally appeared on E! Online Justin Bieber knows it's never too late to say sorry. Indeed, the 'Peaches' singer reflected on what he sees as his personal shortcomings while sharing how he leans on his spirituality during tough times. 'Thanking Jesus for his patience with me this morning,' Justin wrote in a July 29 post to X (formerly Twitter). 'I can be extremely selfish and impatient yet Jesus always has his arms open toward me.' Alongside pictures of himself smiling while hiking in the woods, the 31-year-old added an optimistic message to fans, saying, 'Let's have a good day, let's go outside. Get in nature.' While the reflection from Justin—who shares son Jack Blues, 11 months, with wife Hailey Bieber—offered a peek into his mindset, it's not the first time he has let the world in on his insecurities. In fact, earlier this year he opened up about feeling inadequate amid his success. "I personally have always felt unworthy, like I was a fraud," Justin wrote on his Instagram Story in March. "Like when people told me I deserve something, it made me feel sneaky like, 'Damn, if they only knew my thoughts, how judgmental I am, how selfish I really am. They wouldn't be saying this.'" Justin also used the moment to pay tribute to the late Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne, who died at the age of 76on July 22. At the end of his photo dump, the 'Baby' singer included a throwback photo with the heavy metal singer. Justin's new album is among his most honest, sharing insight into how he's learned to navigate his years living life in the public eye. In 'Therapy Sessions,' one of the album's many interludes featuring Druski, the comedian and Justin discuss the latter's social media presence, which has raised eyebrows in recent months. Justin also channeled that vulnerability into his new album Swag—released earlier this month—detailing how being a public figure has impacted the way he processes his emotions. 'Feeling like I've had to go through a lot of my struggles as a human really publicly and so people always asking if I'm okay and that starts to really weigh on me.' Justin's seventh studio album wasn't just a space for him to discuss his insecurities, though. He also highlighted his relationship with Hailey, who he believes supports him for better or worse. 'I'm startin' to be open to the idea that you know me too,' he sings on the song 'Devotion.' He then adds, 'I like when you hold me to ya / I like when you scold me too.' Justin Timberlake performs onstage during the 5th Lollapalooza Paris Festival on July 20, 2025 in Paris, France. Lyvans Boolaky/WireImage Timberlake was arrested in June 2024 for driving while intoxicated (DWI) in Sag Harbor, New York. In September, he pleaded guilty to a noncriminal driving while impaired traffic violation and was fined and given community service. What To Know During recent appearances on the European leg of the tour, including stops in Romania and Ireland, the 10-time Grammy-winning singer is seen only singing parts of his songs in fan-captured footage. Some fans have also complained that he was arriving on stage late and amid the backlash there has been a wave of viral memes. Multiple clips of Timberlake performing the song from the Trolls soundtrack, Can't Stop The Feeling have gone viral. In one video, from a concert in Transylvania, Romania, Timberlake is shown performing with his hood up, partly singing the song and pointing his mic out to the crowd so that they could sing along. He then does the same thing for a number of other songs, failing to sing the whole songs himself. That video, which has the text overlay "Go girl give us nothing," has been viewed over 4 million times. Another video of him performing similarly at a concert in Dublin has been viewed over 18 million times. One TikTok, from the creator @90skid4lyfe, which has the text overlay "Imagine paying $500 for this type of energy at a Justin Timberlake concert in 2025," has been viewed over 20 million times. Another video, shared by the creator @snarkymarky, starts with the creator saying, "You can't do this to me, this is going to ruin the tour," with the text overlay "Justin Timberlake when he was getting arrested last year." This a reference to something that Timberlake allegedly muttered when he was arrested last year. The policeman replied "What tour?" to which Timberlake responded "The world tour."
