When a dog loves a food—and I mean "over the moon obsessed"—there's nothing they won't do for just a tiny nibble. If you asked them to do backflips for a taste (and they understood your words), they would. If you happen to have said yummy food anywhere near, you'd better bet they feel the "Bat signal" and will mysteriously appear right there.
This describes Honey, a Golden Retriever who really loves watermelon. I don't mean she's a casual fan, but a massive, die-hard melon fanatic, and she'll wait you out if it means maybe, possibly getting some.
Honey is a saint for sitting like a pretty princess. I can't think of a better display of patience than this, and that includes all of us working folk holding onto every last wisp of it until Fri-yay.
The Golden Retriever is definitely Golden-ing, but in her defense, she's a pristine example of the happy-go-lucky breed. I think that deserves a reward. Watermelon, per chance?
Thankfully, there's a payoff at the end of this excruciating wait. My heart couldn't take knowing this good girl sat or nothing.
I guess this is a lesson for us all: rewards come to those who can practice patience and are humbled by it. Honey didn't mean to be an inspiration, and yet here we are!

Golden Retriever Has an ‘Emotional Support' Hubcap and Adorably Takes It With Her Everywhere

Golden Retriever Has an 'Emotional Support' Hubcap and Adorably Takes It With Her Everywhere originally appeared on PetHelpful. Pets have a funny way of getting attached to the most unexpected things. Our dog, for example, has a toy that's completely fallen apart, but she still loves it almost as much as she loves us! For this Golden Retriever named Bailey, her favorite thing right now is an old hubcap she found while out on a walk. Weird? Yes. But she loves it! Bailey's dad recently shared a hilarious video of her proudly carrying around what he calls her 'emotional support hubcap.' And he wasn't exaggerating when he said that she takes it everywhere! As you'll see in the video, Bailey looks absolutely thrilled with her unusual prize, trotting around with the old hubcap clutched happily in her mouth. Not only does Bailey look happy, but she also looks proud of her treasure!Funny Reactions to Bailey's Emotional Support Hubcap Viewers left more than 1,200 comments about the Golden's unusual emotional support item, and some of them cracked us up. Like @Dave who joked, "Jesus take the wheel. Bailey take the hubcap." @Joseph's comment also made us laugh, Imagine the police report. 'No officer I swear a Golden was running down the street with it!' @CanineCapers pointed out, "If that was my hubcap and I saw this, there's no way I would be mad." Another commenter shared, "A stick just would have been too average to suit her style." @Ally & Jesus made us LOL when they said, "Bailey's brain: 'They see me rollin, they hatin'." @kait joked, "Shameful. Absolutely shameful. This is how addiction starts. Next thing you know she'll be placing cars on concrete blocks and stealing the entire tire." @gabegabe added, "Heaven forbid a girl is a collector..." @James agreed, "This is really dangerous because she might become a collector and it's an expensive hobby." @exzachtlyhere deadpanned, "BarkBox would never throw in an emotional support hubcap." Commenter @michelle shared, "Sorry to the owner who went back for their hubcap and didn't find it! LOL! I don't know if I've ever seen a puppy so proud of finding something!" @em added, "She said, 'Dis mine now.' LOL!" We wonder how long she'll be attached to her hubcap. It has to get heavy carrying that thing all over the place! Toddler Chatting Away While Walking With His Golden Retriever Is Making Everybody's Day

Toddler Chatting Away While Walking With His Golden Retriever Is Making Everybody's Day originally appeared on PetHelpful. If you follow internet-famous Beau the Golden Retriever on social media, you already know he shares the sweetest bond with his little human brother. The feeling is clearly mutual; Beau is just as smitten with the toddler. You'll be able to see the love in this video of their recent walk together; it might be the cutest thing you'll see (and hear) all day. Make sure your sound is on, so you don't miss the little boy chatting away to Beau, telling him all about the important things going on in his life. According to Mom's caption, her son is speaking a language no one else can quite understand, but to us it seems like Beau understands every word! Our hearts can't take all of this cuteness! Beau is such a great listener and the little boy is so excited to be chatting with his best friend. One viewer pointed out, "Thats their secret language!" @MJ agreed, adding, "The dog understands." @leslie joked, "Beau is like, 'Yes tiny human…whatever you say tiny human' LOL!"The Bond Between Our Pets and Babies It's clear that Beau is his little brother's biggest fan. In other videos we see the two always together, with Beau unwilling to leave the toddler's side and acting as his protector. He teaches his brother about the great big world, and even though his brother might get a little rough with him, Beau knows he has to be gentle with the boy. It's so sweet! "Dogs show their love in all kinds of ways—tail wags and big sloppy kisses are the obvious signs. But did you know that when your dog stares at you, they're actually showing affection? Just like humans gaze into each other's eyes when they're in love, dogs do the same. That loving stare triggers the release of oxytocin—the feel-good hormone—in both your brain and theirs. We should also add that they make the best listeners to the list! Scents play a powerful role in how dogs connect with us. That's why they love to 'steal' our socks, shirts, or anything that carries our scent—it makes them feel safe and secure. Our smell is one of the strongest ways they bond with us, which is also why they always want to be close—they simply love being surrounded by our scent. We bet Beau steals lots of his brother's things!
