RADIO 1 fans have threatened to switch off as they slammed the latest 'gross' decision by bosses and insist it's 'not right'.
The BBC station has announced the newest presenter to join the line-up.

Greg James is the flagship presenter of the breakfast show and fans constantly praise his skill behind the mic.
He was supported by the likes of former Strictly Come Dancing star Vick Hope who presents the Going Home show.
She usually takes to the airwaves alongside Katie Thistleton and former Made In Chelsea star Jamie Laing in the traditional drivetime slot.
However, she will be taking a break from her presenting duties as she goes on maternity leave.

The station announced that her replacement will be none other than Jamie's wife Sophie Habboo.
Loose Women presenter, influencer and former I'm A Celebrity campmate GK Barry will also join the presenting roster as she takes over the weekend afternoon show.
Longtime fans have slammed the latest hiring by bosses after they announced the news.
On the official social media account of BBC Radio 1, fans flocked to the comments section as they claimed the station has 'fallen' in standards.

One disgruntled listener fumed: "How far we've fallen from Vick and Jordan…"
A second exclaimed: "There is something really gross, about two such privileged and independently wealthy (the Laings)given access to prime time national radio shows over people who have trained and studied for years in media."

While someone else raged: "Wealthy Reality stars just being handed roles for nothing now. They're sooo unrelatable."

And a fifth added: "Im a big radio 1 fan but shouldve been jerry .....jamie and sophie is a bad move be a switch off for me sorry."
Many longtime fans of the station directly blamed bosses for a decline as they hired 'influencers'.
They slammed the decision not to look for upcoming talent or give the role to an existing cover presenter who has trained for the job 'for years'.
Another fan noted: "Where is the dislike button? There are so many hard working and capable presenters covering gigs on R1 atm, how undermining that they weren't given the chance to show the listeners what they're capable of!!"

Someone else agreed" "Really glad I'm not the only one who was disappointed by this update. It really doesn't sit right with me when there's people trying so hard to get a break. It's a no from me I'm afraid."
As a seventh fan stated: "Radio 1 turning into a constant influencer podcast.. what happened to actually knowing music to being a radio DJ! Many years of listening, only holding on for Greg! Time to switch!"

UK's oldest white-tailed eagle dies aged 32
The eagle, a female named Frisa, hatched on Mull in 1992 and paired up with her long-term mate Skye in 1997. The pair raised their first chick on the island in 1998, and went on to raise a total of 25 chicks in their 28 years of partnership. Frisa was known to 'millions' thanks to appearances in a number of BBC programmes over the last two decades, beginning with the very first episode of Springwatch in 2005. Her death was announced on the latest episode of the programme on June 2. RSPB ambassador Dave Sexton, who spent 21 of his 36-year RSPB career working with white-tailed eagles on Mull, described Frisa as 'a very special bird who had touched the hearts of millions who saw her both on TV and in the wild'. He added: 'As Frisa got on in years, I dreaded the day I would visit her territory and find her gone. 'Sadly, that day has come and I feel like I've lost a friend. 'But what a wonderful life she had with her mate Skye. Together they raised 25 chicks, many of which are now breeding far and wide across Scotland. 'She was a true icon for white-tailed eagles and she'll always hold a special place in my heart.' RSPB Scotland said Frisa has not been seen since last year, leading experts to believe she has died either of natural causes, or following an altercation with another eagle. It is with a heavy heart we announce the death of Frisa, the UK's oldest wild White-tailed Eagle. At 31 years of age, Skye now takes on the mantle as the UK's oldest wild white-tailed eagle. Frisa's mother Blondie successfully raised the very first white-tailed eagle to fledge in Scotland following the reintroduction of the species in 1975. The species previously became extinct in the UK in 1918 when the last known native wild bird was shot in Shetland. A reintroduction project on the Isle of Rum using chicks donated from Norway has since seen the species re-establish a self-sustaining population in Scotland. There are now estimated to be up to 200 pairs of white-tailed eagles in the UK.

Huge EastEnders twist as George's whereabouts on Christmas finally revealed
The floor falls from beneath Elaine Knight's (Harriet Thorpe) feet in EastEnders next week, as she learns where her husband George (Colin Salmon) ran off to on Christmas Day. EastEnders' Shane Ritchie teases return of Spencer Moon
Speaking to The Mirror, Shane, who has played Alfie Moon for more than 20 years, spoke of how he'd like a fellow Moon to return too. Christopher Parker, who played Alfie's younger brother Spencer, arrived on the Square alongside Alfie and their grandmother Nana Moon in 2002. Spencer quickly became a fan favourite, which led Christopher to take part in the first series of Strictly Come Dancing in 2004 – coming in second place. After Christopher left the soap in 2005, he quit acting and re-trained to become a lawyer. Most popular soap operas in the UK Shane told The Mirror: "I would like him to come back. "One of my sons keeps in touch with Christopher [Parker], but he's a lawyer now. "He flies between LA and London. I would love to think that one day they might bring back Spencer, but so much is going on at the moment. 'Alfie could probably do without that." It's not the first time Christopher's name has been mentioned surrounding the soap this year – after Spencer's ex-partner Vicki Fowler returned in February. Last year Alfie and Spencer's cousin Jake Moon, played by Joel Beckett, also made a brief appearance on the soap, squashing rumours that he had been killed off in 2006.
