EastEnders shock as Oscar attacks a major character - and more trouble follows

Metro2 days ago
EastEnders newbie Oscar Branning (Pierre Moullier) lands himself in hot water next week when he attacks one of his own.
As viewers of the BBC One soap know, Oscar has recently returned to Walford having been released from a three-month stretch in a young offenders institute.
He'd been locked up for joyriding and subsequently thrown out of mum Tanya's (Jo Joyner) house when his associates – who he'd tipped off the police about – attempted to petrol bomb her house.
With nowhere else to go, sister Lauren (Jacqueline Jossa) was forced to take him in.
One of the lads, Mike (Tai Hilferink) has been sending a number of threatening messages since, determined to track him down and get revenge.
In episodes that air this week, we'll see Mike turn up on Oscar's doorstep when he's babysitting nephews Louie (Jake McNally) and Jimmy, leaving a firm warning that he's not to be messed with.
By next week, Lauren discovers the altercation, and insists that her brother ask their uncle Jack (Scott Maslen) for protection.
Oscar is adamant to handle things himself – but of course, it doesn't exactly go to plan. Mike and his crony Harrison show up, and things kick off!
Jack steps in, and Oscar is handed a final warning from Lauren. But that night, with his nerves growing, he hears a suspicious noise in the house and goes to investigate. More Trending
Spotting a hooded figure, he lashes out – not realising that it's Lauren's fiancé Peter Beale (Thomas Law), who orders him to leave.

Lauren tries to get to the root of her brother's problems, and gets him to open up on why his first instinct was to attack. During their conversation, she learns more about his time in the youth offenders.
Determined to help him, she has a huge row with a reluctant Peter, before storming off to Jimmy's first support group alone. Meanwhile, Oscar encounters Mike again.

Emmerdale fans 'solve' jaw-dropping John twist - but another victim 'sealed'

Emmerdale fans think the latest episode of the ITV soap has confirmed which character will trigger the downfall of killer John Sugden, but it could lead to another death twist Some Emmerdale fans are convinced they now know who will bring down killer John Sugden after a telling scene on Wednesday. ‌ The character has framed someone else for his darkest crime, the murder of Nate Robinson. But amid a number of other dodgy actions and more than one character seemingly onto him, it's an unexpected character who could unravel the medic's lies. ‌ Fans know that John has been messaging someone at a helpline to offload about his guilt, with him struggling over his actions. What we found out on Wednesday was that the person he's been messaging is none other than village vet Paddy Kirk. ‌ Paddy happens to be the father figure of John's husband Aaron Dingle. Fans are now convinced John will let slip everything he has done, after Paddy asked John, unaware it was him, if he wanted to speak on the phone. If Paddy is told anything by John and he recognises his voice, could it be game over for the killer? Fans certainly think so, wondering if Paddy will work it all out and expose the killer. One viewer posted online: "Did everybody see that? Will Paddy put 2+2 together & eventually figure out that he's talking to John on the Guardians helpline?" Another fan said: "Paddy being able to be the one who exposes John is actually a hilarious idea." A third viewer added: "Ahh Paddy is going to be the one to catch John out." Another fan echoed this theory, writing: "Ooo Paddy put it all together mate!" Meanwhile other fans hoped he might team up with John's brother Robert, who is already onto John. ‌ One fan suggested more than one character could now team up to take down John. They said: "Robert, Paddy , Cain and Tracy VS John." But other fans were worried about this latest development, sure it could leave Paddy in danger. If John was to find out Paddy was the person he was messaging, surely he would have to cover his tracks if he did confess to a crime. ‌ Fans wondered if Paddy would sadly be John's next victim. One viewer commented: "Don't tell me! Paddy's next," as another said: "OMG Paddy," along with a GIF teasing danger ahead for him. A further post said: "If John hurts a hair on Paddy's head, I will riot. He needs to get caught already." Viewers will have to stay tuned to find out if the pair speak and end up realising who each other is, and what this could mean for John. First look pictures as Kat Slater launches new EastEnders era in The Queen Vic

New EastEnders pictures reveal the dawn of a new era on Albert Square, as Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace) takes over as landlady of The Queen Vic. As viewers of the BBC soap have seen, the Slater clan decided to play a practical joke on Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt), when he announced his decision to buy the famed boozer. Pretending she'd won £100k on a scratchcard, Stacey (Lacey Turner) took great joy in seeing him squirm. Unfortunately, the prospect of having that amount of cash in her pocket seemed out of the question. That was, until, a man from an insurance company arrived to tell her that her ex-husband Martin (James Bye) had left the same amount of money in his policy. She wanted to secure her family's financial future by making an investment – and hoped that Kat would accept her offer of stepping back behind the bar. Unfortunately, as the auction began, Kat's husband Alfie (Shane Richie) dropped the bombshell to Stacey that he needed €50,000 to ensure he could bring his estranged step-daughter Zoe (Michelle Ryan) back to Walford. Between 1985 and 1991, the pub was owned by fictional brewery Luxford & Copley, with the following in charge: 1985-88, 2005: Den Watts Den Watts 1988-90: Frank Butcher Frank Butcher 1990-91: Eddie Royle Sharon Watts, Phil Mitchell and brother Grant then bought the famed boozer, and it has been in private ownership ever since. Below are the names above the door. 1991-95, 2001-02, 2020-21: Sharon Watts 1995-2001, 2002-04, 2005-09, 2010: Peggy Mitchell 2005: Chrissie Watts 2009: Archie Mitchell 2010, 2013: Roxy Mitchell 2010-12, 2025-: Kat Moon 2010-13: Alfie Moon 2013-20, 2021-22: Mick Carter 2013-20: Shirley Carter 2013-20, 2021-25: Linda Carter 2023-25: Elaine Knight Stace initially agreed, but after a heart-to-heart with mum Jean (Gillian Wright), she knew that her money was best spent on those who had been by her side through thick and thin. She rushed to tell Kat the good news, and in a bid to stall the auctioneer from slamming his hammer, Jean set off the fire alarm to send everyone out into The Square. As the winning bid – placed by a ruthless developer who planned to redevelop The Vic into flats – was about to be accepted, Kat told current owner Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) that she could match the offer. More Trending In yesterday's instalment, Linda began to pack her bags and looked around her home in reflection of both good and bad times. She knew it was the right decision to make. Kat promised her that she'd keep her late husband Mick's (Danny Dyer) West Ham scarf on display as a fitting tribute, and as the new images show, it's still proudly wrapped around the bottles of whiskey. Looking down over Kat's shoulder is a picture of Peggy Mitchell, who is undoubtedly the most iconic landlady ever to grace the building. Iconic cafe serving the 'best full English breakfast' in London has been saved

London's most famous greasy spoon which has starred in film and TV has reopened to hungry visitors. The Regency Cafe in Westminster claimed to sell the 'best English breakfast in London' after opening in 1946. Fans of the cheap fry ups and old school service feared the caff would be gone forever after it closed in December 2024 when its owners put the business up for sale. But after just two days of viewings, the Regency Cafe was snapped up by new owners Fevzi and Zafer Gungor. Christie & Co confirmed to Metro that the sale was completed on Tuesday, with the kitchen serving customers again the same day. The new bosses, who own dozens of eateries in the capital, want to add a new flavour to the famous venue, by introducing a line of merchandise and expanding overseas. Fevzi Gungor said: 'I'm honoured to take over such a historic and much-loved institution. As someone born in Turkey and raised in White City, West London, my journey started humbly – delivering newspapers at 13 before school – and I've never looked back. 'My aim isn't to change what people already love about Regency Café, but to enhance it – extending opening hours, refreshing equipment, strengthening our social media presence, and introducing merchandise that captures the spirit of this iconic spot. 'We're also exploring partnerships with major British brands for co-branded sauces, beans, and more. 'We may look at expanding the kitchen to cater for Halal dining, reflecting the diverse communities and tourists we serve, including many from the Arab Peninsula. 'In time, I'd love to see the Regency name in key global cities – Amsterdam, Berlin, Istanbul, Dubai – but our immediate focus is on Regency Street.' Regency Cafe has played a starring role in a string of TV shows and films set in London. More Trending It has featured in the crime thriller Layer Cake (2004), which starred Daniel Craig before he was cast as James Bond. The famous fry ups also made an appearance in Oscar nominated films Pride (2014), which followed the efforts of London LGBTQ+'s community to support striking miners in the 1980s, and Elton John biopic Rocketman (2019), The business was sold to the pair at an undisclosed price, but it was originally listed for £170,000 through Christie & Co.
