ITV Emmerdale fans call for 'tedious' storyline to end
The pair has a previous history together as part of Joe's previous kidney transplant story.
Now, the doctor, played by James Hillier, has returned to seek revenge.
A post shared by Emmerdale (@emmerdale)
James Hillier's character last appeared on the ITV soap back in March.
Joe was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease and hired the shady doctor to treat him and secure him a kidney transplant.
After Joe's paternal half-uncle, Caleb Miligan, was found to be a donor match, his kidney was taken after he was stabbed.
Following this, Dr Crowley transplanted it into Joe before fleeing the country, and that was the last heard from him... until now.
Having returned to the soap this week, Joe was knocked unconscious and woke up in a makeshift hospital room to find Crowley.
He revealed that he gave Joe an epidural and "numbed the lower spine, along with the upper, near the base of the skull", meaning Joe was left paralysed.
It was revealed that Shaun, who arrived with Joe's laptop, had been secretly working for Crowley.
Despite originally refusing, following the threat of torture, Joe reveals the passwords and Shaun transfers £105,000 to Crowley's account.
Following Dr Crowley's return on the ITV show, fans have been discussing the ongoing storyline, and some are not impressed.
It's that time again… the Inside Soap Awards 2025 are here - and the Village needs you! 💚

Love Island fans 'disgusted' as ITV show airs saucy bedroom exchange in shock scenes
Love Island fans were left in shock during Tuesday night's episode as the show aired a bold bedroom moment between Harrison and his partner Lauren as they survived the dumping Love Island fans were left in shock as the show aired a saucy bedroom exchange between Harrison and his partner Lauren. The couple narrowly avoided being dumped from the Love Island villa after Shakira and Ty chose to dump Tommy and Lucy - saving Harrison and Lauren and Conor and Emma. The pair seemed to celebrate their survival in the bedroom - with fans left 'disgusted' as Harrison asked Harry for a condom. As the Islanders settled down for the night, Harrison could be seen reaching over to Helena and Harry's bed via the night cam, as he asked: "Do you have a condom?" Harry and Helena could be seen in hysterics as Helena quickly pulled one out the drawer, with Harry passing it over. The couple then got under the covers, as the cameras panned to them kissing. However, fans were less than impressed, especially as Harrison stated he was continuing to talk to his ex partner, Toni. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan said: "Did Harry just pass a condom to Lauren and Harrison???! I didn't know I was watching too hot to handle," while a second shocked fan said: "I have never. In all my years seen someone ask for a condom on #loveisland. Like yayyyyy for sexual safety but that is tooooooooooo raz." "Do you have a condom? Is going to haunt me until the day that I die #LoveIsland," said a third, while another wrote: "'Do you have a condom?' That is disgusting work. What is wrong with that man." Toni was later seen telling Lauren that she could have Harrison to herself - claiming that she'd "washed her hands" of her ex. However, later on Harrison was seen taking Toni to the terrace explaining how much she liked him. There was no time for rest in the Love Island villa during tonight's episode as a dramatic recoupling followed a second bombshell dumping. At the start of tonight's episode, the villa said goodbye to Tommy and Lucy after most compatible couple Shakira and Ty decided to dump them from the villa. It came after Ben and Andrada were told to immediately leave the villa last night when they received a text informing them they had been voted the least compatible couple. The pair met during Casa Amor - but Ben was recently left questioning his partners intentions as she also formed a connection with Dejon in the secondary villa. Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.

Slump in Gino D'Acampo's wealth since being axed by ITV revealed as shamed chef plots new life abroad
GINO D'Acampo's earnings have dropped by over £150,000 after he was axed by ITV. The channel cut ties with him in February after allegations of inappropriate behaviour. 4 New documents filed at Companies House show net assets of £195,999 for the financial year ending in April, compared to £352,534 in 2024. The shamed chef faced a considerable loss in earnings, with cash intake of £199k - down from £704k the year before. It comes after The Sun told how the former This Morning telly cook is relaunching his brand in Australia amid his UK woes. The Italian, 48, is launching 'multiple work projects', including two new restaurants and a culinary tech platform, 11,000 miles from his Hertfordshire mansion, which is now on the market for £4.2million. Last week Gino's representative said: 'He loves Australia a lot - the people, culture, cleanliness and environment.' While Gino will keep a base in the UK, he will be spending increasing amounts of time Down Under over the next two years as he also sets up a new cookware range for the international market. A source added: 'Gino has had a fantastic career over here - and still has an incredibly loyal fanbase. 'But it's been made clear to him that TV opportunities over here are few and far between in the wake of recent allegations, and that's frustrating. 'While Gino has always denied any wrongdoing, he's a pragmatist and knows it's time for new adventures. 'He's been inundated with offers Down Under following a really successful tour there. Gino D'Acampo slammed for 'highly inappropriate' cooking video as fans say 'that's disturbing and upsetting' 'He spent some time in Australia a few years ago, and loved it. He still has a large social media following and plans to capitalise on that in the next stage of his career.' The source said the star will be launching two new restaurants in Australia and will split his time between there and the UK for the next two years. His wife of 22 years, Jessica, and their three children will remain in Britain. The source added: 'But if all goes well, Australia is a full-time option.' 4 4

ITV's Unforgotten 'future in doubt' as creator 'steps down' amid series backlash
ITV drama Unforgotten could be 'facing the axe' after its next season as show writer Chris Lang speaks about his plans to 'quit' after responding to backlash last series ITV cold case series Unforgotten has been entertaining fans for over a decade - but it looks like the show is about to make a huge change. It comes two years after lead Nicola Walker who played DCI Cassie Stuart, was replaced by Sinéad Keenan, who plays DCI Jessica James. The change came after Nicola's character died after a car accident in the show in series four, with Keenan taking the lead from series five and beyond. The latest series, series 6, aired earlier this year, although some fans had criticised the show over the political theme as crime-solving duo DCI Jess James and DI Sunil Khan uncovered many hidden secrets. Viewers had complained that the "political commentary" felt too much on occasions in series six. One person stated on X: "I was a fan of each previous series. 2 episodes in and I'm finding the political commentary way too much, I think it detracts from the story and makes the whole thing less credible." Others went into describe the show as "too woke" with one writing: 'Sorry guys but you have ruined #Unforgotten as it's now complete woke nonsense!' Now, Chris has revealed he's planning to 'step down' as a writer after next year's new series. 'I'll probably hand on the baton after this series. I'll still be involved, but I've written 42 episodes and don't want to repeat myself, " Chris said in an interview with the Royal Television Society. 'I wouldn't write it if I didn't have something to say about the state of the nation," he continued. 'Because Unforgotten has an inherent and robust structure, that allows me space to hold up a mirror to British society — it's a Trojan horse show.' Responding to fan criticism earlier this year, Chris responded to one fan: "Sorry to hear that, I like to hold up a mirror to the UK, and reflect where we are." Despite the criticism, the drama which also features Sanjeev Bhaskar as DI Sunil Khan, received impressive viewing figures during the latest series in February. The first episode drew in a huge 7.4million viewers. The feedback wasn't all bad however - with many fans taking to social media to defend their favourite drama. One said: 'Just watched #Unforgotten #6. Yet again, THE best thing on television. Another agreed: "Yet again, huge credit to @ChrisLangWriter for phenomenal writing. "Yet again, huge credit to @SineadKeenan & @TVSanjeev for their excellent & totally credible performances, as to the entire cast and production." (sic)
