Brooklyn Beckham breaks silence with touching gesture towards family amid ongoing feud

Daily Record26-06-2025
David and Victoria Beckham's eldest son Brooklyn Beckham has reached out to his family in a touching social media post amid rumours of an ongoing feud
Brooklyn Beckham has made his first public gesture towards his family on social media, sharing a heartfelt message.
The eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham posted a touching birthday tribute to his grandmother, Sandra. He said: 'Happy birthday nanny xx love you so much," along side two heart emojis.

The post is believed to mark the first time Brooklyn has publicly acknowledged his family amid reports of a bitter family feud.

However, insiders remain convinced that a reconciliation with his parents is unlikely. One source stated: "At present it feels like there is too much to overcome.'
It comes as it was revealed last month that the wanna be chef was in London at the same time as his dad, but kept his visit a secret. A picture uploaded to Instagram showed Brooklyn drinking a pint in a pub, as bottles of his own-band hot sauce on the table in front of him, the Mirror reports.
The pub may have seemed unrecognisable to outsiders, but those close to the Beckhams quickly recognised the distinctive light fittings and bold green walls in the background.
One pal stated: "The picture was taken in London's Wigmore pub, which is part of the Langham Hotel where the Beckhams have sometimes stayed."
"The fact that Brooklyn was in the country and failed to see any of his family was heartbreaking. And not only that, but here he was posting about it.'

Brooklyn, 26, and his wife Nicola Peltz, 30, had travelled to London for a joint photoshoot with Italian luxury fashion brand Moncler - which took place less than two miles from the Beckham family's Holland Park home. His dad, David was also nearby that day, appearing alongside the King at the Chelsea Flower show.
A friend shared: 'Brooklyn had kept the visit quiet from not only his mum and dad but his siblings and extended family. It was terribly sad that he had flown thousands of miles to London and hadn't engaged at all. It would have been very easy to meet up.'

In a separate Instagram post on May 16, Brooklyn paid tribute to Nicola's late grandmother, sharing a photo to mark the anniversary of her passing. He wrote: "I miss you and will love you forever."
A source stated: "Brooklyn's heart is of course in the right place…but it hasn't gone unnoticed how all the while he is posting about Nicola's family he is silent about his own, including his own grandfather whose birthday it was last week."

Those familiar with the family suggest that what they believe are "performative" social media posts are Nicola's doing.
They express concerns that she may be influencing or even directing Brooklyn's online activity - which they say feels out of character - and suggest she is playing a role in distancing him from his friends and family.

A pal close to the family, stated: "She is creating conflict where there is none and divides are springing up left, right and centre."
Although a source close to the couple has hit back at comments of Nicola being "controlling" towards her husband, and claims that Brooklyn is very much his own man.
The source, said: "She is not isolating him at all. He is free to do what he wants and he loves his wife and they are happy together. They are each other's family."

Richard Madeley says 'my mum hated me' for life-changing decision he made

ITV Good Morning Britain host Richard Madeley made a life-changing decision at the age of 16 but it seems his mum was not happy about it and 'hated' him for it During today's episode of Good Morning Britain, Richard Madeley confessed that his mother was not pleased with a decision he made in his youth. ‌ On Thursday's (August 14) instalment of the ITV programme, the presenter, 69, brought up the topic of A-Level results day. ‌ In conversation with his co-host Charlotte Hawkins, he asked: "What did you get, Charlie?" To which she responded: "I got three As". ‌ Richard quipped: "Oh there's always one isn't there?!" However, she admitted that these were not her predicted grades and she hadn't performed as well in her mock exams. She explained: "We all went to the school to get them, it was really special and I was not expecting that at all. "I think having not done very well when it came to the mock exams obviously gave me some impetus to think, 'Well, I need to get cracking on this'" The focus then shifted to Richard, who disclosed that he had left school at an early age, reports the Mirror. When Charlotte enquired about his exam results, he said: "Well, I left school at 16 to join the local paper. My mum thought it was a very bad move, my dad thought it was great. ‌ "My mum hated me as I started work when I was 16 and she insisted that I go to night school and take A-Levels there. So, I took an English A-Level and I got a B, I think." However, the seasoned broadcaster pointed out that when he sat the exam, he was already two years into his position at the publication, which launched his career. ‌ It appeared Richard had made the correct choice as he had climbed to assistant editor and secured a role with the BBC by age 19. Nevertheless, the ITV personality has previously opened up about his difficult school experiences. During a chat on Good Morning Britain, he spoke about being singled out by bullies. ‌ He said at the time: "I was at school long before social media and I got really badly bullied through the first two years of my Grammar School, when I was about 12 and 13 years old. "I dread to think had we been online as well, it just would have been a nightmare. "I didn't report it. It was a sense of shame, not a sense of fear, that I was being targeted." New book from Federico Marchetti, "The Geek of Chic," set for September release

Federico Marchetti's new book, with a foreword by Giorgio Armani, will be released in English on September 9th. The book, "The Geek of chic: an american dream italian style" (304 pages, 18.99 dollars), is published by the American publisher Post Hill Press. The book is described as an "inspiring story full of successes, mistakes, honesty and what it takes to start from scratch, with the aim of giving courage to anyone who wants to change the world". At the beginning of 2000, Marchetti secured a multi-million dollar investment from Benchmark, a venture capital firm, and transformed it into Yoox Net-a-Porter Group (YNAP). YNAP was later sold to Richemont, the Swiss group that owns Cartier among other brands, for six billion dollars. The book's introduction states, "Marchetti found his recipe for success by combining the technical skills of Silicon Valley with Italian creativity and humanism. His approach to business draws on this Italian DNA, yet Marchetti helped bring fashion into the 21st century by building the first Italian unicorn, in a country lacking digital infrastructure and technological culture." The cover of The Geek of chic: an american dream italian style Credits: Federico Marchetti website Marchetti's story unfolds against the backdrop of European landscapes: Milan, Lake Como, Venice, and the English Royal Palaces. His journey begins with a challenging Italian childhood. It touches on many of the most significant moments in international business of recent decades, from working in the Twin Towers to studying at Columbia Business School, to launching a startup just before the dotcom bubble. Along the way, he meets the most influential figures in the tech world, from Jeff Bezos to Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg. The book's introduction concludes, "Marchetti sits on Armani's board of directors as the only non-family member, attends fashion shows, and co-invests in Luca Guadagnino's films. The Geek of chic is as inspiring as it is entertaining, full of style, surreal situations, unexpected events, and sliding doors moments." The New Yorker wrote of Marchetti that "no one has done more than Federico to bring e-commerce to fashion," and the New York Times called him "The man who put fashion online." In 2021, the then Prince of Wales, now King Charles III, asked him to chair the Fashion Task Force of the Sustainable Markets Initiative. Marchetti and King Charles, who share a passion for craftsmanship and education, also conceived The Modern Artisan project in 2018. This initiative created an ongoing collaboration between The King's Foundation (formerly The Prince's Foundation) and YNAP, designed to encourage young students and artisans to create sustainable luxury using data and technology. Emmerdale legend reveals exciting new chapter

Daisy Campbell, who played Amelia Spencer in Emmerdale, has opened up about suffering with 'so much anxiety' following her character's axing from the show, and shared the launch of her new business with fans. The young actress took to Instagram to tell her followers about the opening of her new Pilates studio. '[At the] beginning of this year I had so much anxiety, after losing my job last winter, and really didn't know what I wanted to do with my life. I always knew I wanted to run my own business one day but didn't know exactly where to begin. After I reflected on what I really wanted to do, I did a level 3 mat and reformer Pilates course over the spring and I'm so proud of myself for passing. I realised that I want help people with lifestyle and fitness, especially through Pilates. I want to create a new community for so many people out there' 'This has been the hardest secret to keep. This year I am so proud of myself. I've pushed myself in so many ways. In ways, I never could've never imagined.' Daisy also shared that she'd roped in her grandad to help with getting the building ready, sharing a sweet snap of the two. 'Me and my 80 year old grandad have been renovating this old crown court for 8 weeks now and he's taught me so much, and we've both worked so hard on this to get it to my dream. Every little detail is so special' Daisy debuted on the show at the tender age of 7, arriving as part of the Spencer clan alongside mother, Ali (Kelli Hollis), her fiancée Ruby Haswell (Alicya Eyo) and brother Sean (Luke Roskell). They were later joined by her (presumed) dad, Dan (Liam Fox) and his brother (who's actually her biological dad), Daz (Mark Jordon). Her early storylines involved the tragic death of Ruby following a helicopter accident in the village and her growing closeness to new step mum, Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton) following Ali's decision to move to Liverpool. She later discovered her true parentage and later became embroiled in a kidnap plot, when Beth (Annabelle Kaye), a girl who's father was accidentally killed by Daz in an army training exercise, then, after falling pregnant following a one night stand with Samson Dingle (Sam Hall), she embarked on a relationship with Noah Dingle (Jack Downham), who helped raise her daughter, Esther. Next came a stalking scandal which Amelia ultimately lost her dad to. Dan was sentenced to 8 years after accidentally killing the man who was harassing her. The decision was then made to get rid of her character, following the departure of all of her on-screen family and her final storyline saw her drawn deeply into the deceitful web of evil abuser Tom King (James Chase), with him manipulating Amelia following his campaign of terror against Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper). Although initially blind to Tom's true nature, the scales eventually fell from her eyes and Amelia left the village after finally turning on the sadistic monster. More Trending 'It wasn't my choice to leave Emmerdale and it was a shock at first', Daisy explained to the Mirror at the time. 'Being in Emmerdale is all I have ever known. I've spent the whole of my childhood growing up in the soap and it felt daunting.' 'Amelia isn't part of the Dingles, her dad has left, Samson has gone now and she doesn't have any family. There is nowhere to take Amelia and I understand that. I feel incredibly lucky to have been in the soap for 13 years and to have been handed so many opportunities at such a young age.' She later described a 'grieving process'. 'It feels really sad,' Daisy told Metro. 'It's mixed emotions really. It's been such a tough year, and I've had to deal with so much, but I was so at peace when leaving because I've grieved. 'I'm not only grieving for myself, it's a character that I've always played, this is my first ever job from being seven, so it felt really sad. But then it was nice to close the door and be at peace, because I've just allowed it to play out as it has this year. But yeah, it's really upsetting, because it's all I've ever known.'
