The Arizona Cardinals' 2 most tradeable players on the roster

USA Today21-03-2025

The Arizona Cardinals' 2 most tradeable players on the roster The Cardinals have not been rumored to be in any trade discussions, but they have two players who could be traded.
With the work the Arizona Cardinals did in free agency, they are pretty set with their roster and now can add young talent in the draft. Most teams have a player who could be a trade asset.
The Cardinals really only have two players who might have any value.
OL Jonah Williams
Williams' value is tricky. He is an able starter at both left and right tackle, both of which are premium positions.
The Cardinals have Kelvin Beachum and perhaps 2024 fifth-round pick Christian Jones could replace him, or the Cardinals could go with a tackle in the draft.
But Williams is also coming off a knee injury, so it isn't certain he is even healthy enough to trade.
But in the final year of his two-year contract and due $10.78 million in salary in 2025, he could be valuable for a team who needs a tackle.
S Jalen Thompson
Thompson is a capable starter with Pro Bowl potential. He enters the final year of his contract and is due $7.56 million in salary, which is not bad for a starting safety.
The Cardinals have a young safety in the wings who could replace him in Rabbit Taylor-Demerson.
Whether it is before the draft or closer to the season, Thompson is one of the team's more tradeable assets, although it appears they have not had intentions of moving him.

Panthers named potential landing spot for free-agent CB Stephon Gilmore

Should another homecoming between free agent Stephon Gilmore and the Carolina Panthers be in the works? Bleacher Report analyst Kristopher Knox recently listed off the top remaining options for the NFL's cornerback-back needy teams. Still sitting out on the open market is Gilmore, who Knox traces back to the Panthers: The Carolina Panthers should also be interested in bringing back Gilmore. The South Carolina product had a bit of a homecoming with the Panthers in 2021, his last Pro Bowl campaign. Gilmore could provide a valuable bit of veteran leadership to a Panthers defense that is still rebuilding under third-year coordinator Ejiro Evero. The Panthers acquired Gilmore in a trade with the New England Patriots during that 2021 campaign. While the Rock Hill, S.C. native and University of South Carolina Gamecock went on to appear in just eight games for the team, his short tenure was enough to earn him his fifth career Pro Bowl selection. Gilmore, who was also linked to Carolina last offseason, has since gone on to play for the Indianapolis Colts (2022), Dallas Cowboys (2023) and Minnesota Vikings (2024).
