Tamil superstar Suriya made a spiritual visit to the famed Sri Venkateswara Swami Temple in Tirupati on Monday morning. The actor was accompanied by his wife, actress Jyotika, and their children, Diya and Dev.
Clad in traditional attire, the family's presence at the temple quickly went viral after fan pages shared glimpses of the visit on social media.
Spiritual outing with family
Suriya and his son Dev were spotted in the customary temple dress code, wearing traditional white veshtis, while Jyotika chose to wear a saree. Diya, their daughter, went with a plain pink outfit. The family patiently waited in the temple queue in the early morning hours.
In one of the widely circulated videos shared by Suriya's fan club on social media, the actor was seen acknowledging fans with folded hands and a warm smile.
Jyotika, too, offered a heartfelt smile when she noticed the cameras and onlookers.
This peaceful temple visit came just days after Suriya turned 50 on July 23. Celebrations were held at their Chennai residence, where Jyotika hosted a private birthday gathering.
Spiritual visit in November
Earlier on November 27, 2024, Jyotika visited the Tirumala Tirupati temple in the early hours. The actor was seen greeting her fans and taking pictures with them.
A video of her exiting the temple had gone viral on social media. Just days before that, both Jyotika and Suriya were also spotted visiting a temple in Udupi, Karnataka, with their photos widely shared across platforms.
Upcoming projects
On the work front, Suriya was last seen in 'Retro' opposite Pooja Hegde and is currently working on 'Karuppu' and 'Suriya 46'. Jyotika, who starred in the series 'Dabba Cartel', is gearing up for her next release with director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari.

After his father, Sivakumar, his wife, Jyotika and brother, Karthi, have done their bit to help run the foundation, it looks like his children Diya and Dev are following in their footsteps. Suriya even got emotional after hearing their testimonies. Karthi took to the stage to reveal that his niece and nephew, Diya and Dev, are also helping fund education for the needy through the Maadham 300 initiative. Revealing that the kids have been quietly contributing their pocket money to the initiative every month, he said, 'It really moved me and makes me happy. It shows how the value of giving is being passed down in this family.' Jyotika's contribution to running it all Karthi also praised his brother Suriya and sister-in-law Jyotika, saying she has been a pillar of support. He said, 'Suriya Anna always says it's enough if these children are able to study and grow in life. And whenever we face a financial crunch, Jyotika Anni reassures us, did we start this with money? We started this with love. Money will follow. If not for her support, Anna could not have come this far.' He also pointed out that Jyotika was at the forefront while volunteering their foundation's help to hospitals during the COVID-19 pandemic, despite their focus being on funding Tamil students' education. 'We always learn from what we see around us,' he said.
