TV star hits out at BBC over 'disgraceful' Strictly Come Dancing snub
In a video captioned "BBC can literally kiss my ass", Kaur (below) criticised the broadcaster's decision to platform Thomas Skinner, a former Apprentice contestant turned controversial social media personality.
(Image: Lucy North / PA) In her video, Kaur said: "I am so raging right now with the BBC, I'm so over the BBC.
"Like you've just apologised to Robert Jenrick, and you've just taken on Thomas Skinner for Strictly Come Dancing."
Kaur was referring to an apology which was issued by the BBC to the shadow justice secretary after a contributor on its Radio 4 Today programme accused him of "xenophobia".
She continued: "Now I'll tell you my problem here, and you're gonna say, 'oh, she's so bitter, oh she's so–'. You can say that, do that all day long, I'm okay with that.

"Strictly Come Dancing wouldn't take me on. We approached them, and I was told by a producer I was a little bit too controversial, you know, 'we don't need that for the show'. I accept that.
"And they put on brown women every single time, brown or black women who are quiet, who don't have opinions, because that's the kind of brown women they accept – that's what their audience likes.
"But God forbid you're a brown woman who has some opinions, then they'll never take you on.
"But if you're a white man - Thomas Skinner, proud patriot, of the online right, who's got a criminal past charged with theft – you're alright."
In 2011, Skinner was sentenced in court for handling 4992 tubes of Body Shop cleansing gels amounting to almost £40,000, as well as possessing 2000 diazepam tablets.
Kaur shared the video on social media, writing: "Apparently I was deemed too controversial for @bbcstrictly because they only hire quiet brown and black women that fit in a box.
"But you can be a white man AND be controversial and you'll be hired on the spot! Hello Thomas Skinner!!
"#BBCStrictly your unconscious bias and prejudicial views against British brown women is disgraceful."

Skinner replied to the video, saying: "Narinder, I respect that you stand up for what you believe in, not everyone's got the guts to do that. Yes, I've got a past, but I'm not here to divide people. I'm just trying to get people to believe in themselves and realise they can do more than they think.

"Life can be so much better when you let happiness in and don't always be angry towards others. If I've ever upset you, I'm sorry… that's never been my intention. I wish ya nothing but peace, happiness, and a life you can truly enjoy. Bosh [heart emoji]."
Narinder responded: "I don't mind you have a criminal past.. you know I turned up for you.
"But you DO divide.. I try to make this country fair ALL COMMUNITIES..I fight against the racism you seem to support recently."

‘Ibiza Final Boss' is unrecognisable in throwback pic from long before viral fame – and WITHOUT iconic shades & stubble
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) "IBIZA Final Boss" Jack Kay has been pictured for the first time without his iconic shades and stubble - and it's quite a sight. A throwback pic of Final Boss has been unearthed, from even before the days of the bowl-cut trim. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 8 Ibiza Final Boss Jack Kay, far right, looks completely different in old snaps RIP FROM 8 'Ibiza Final Boss' Jack Kay, far right, is virtually unrecognisable in this throwback pic 8 The British social media megastar spent the weekend celebrating his new found fame at a £9million mansion in Ibiza Credit: Instagram The snap shows Jack lined up with his three of his mates in a boozer. He's the only one with a pint in front of him and he's clearly been tucking into it. Young Jack stares down the camera with narrowed eyes and with his arm around one of his pals. His signature black vest has been replaced with a basic black tee - and the lack of a fat gold chain is another glaring difference. But there's a flick of the same pout he wore while grooving around in the original viral clip last week. A second pic shows Jack looking much more like the Ibiza Boss we all know so well, but again without the specs. Jack hasn't been pictured once without his sunnies since shooting to fame, donning them even when The Sun caught up with him in his barbers back home. The blacked-out shades have also remained glued to his face after he zoomed back out to the party island in a £5million private jet. Since returning to his stomping ground, Jack has embraced his new found fame with wild parties at a £9million mansion called The Blue Stone Villa. Tucked away in the hills of Ibiza, the glitzy gaff comes with a large outdoor swimming pool, private chef and its own indoor nightclub. He's even had a run-in with controversial adult performer Bonnie Blue - leaving fans questioning whether they could have collaborated on some content. She flew to the White Island for an impromptu rendezvous with Jack, and a vid shows the moment they awkwardly hug in the villa garden. Jack's new found fame was on full display on Saturday as he invited 100 of his fans, who he described as "charvas", to the villa. 8 Jack even took a dip in the mansion's swimming pool as he held a girl up on his shoulders Credit: Instagram 8 Jack's fame kicked off when a video of him dancing in Ibiza went viral Credit: TikTok/@zerosixwestibiza 8 Jack has been staying in the mega five-bedroom mansion, The Blue Stone Villa Credit: instagram/@thebluestone_ibiza Popular DJs Deniz Menendez and Rsquared performed for the surging crowds all as Jack embraced the party vibes. Just 24 hours later, the partying continued for Jack as he hosted a second bumper event at the holiday home with a host of new mates. One of those who made an appearance has already made headlines this summer after he was a part of FC Barcelona star Yamine Yamal's 18th birthday party. The teen sensation landed himself in hot water and is reportedly facing a government investigation after he allegedly hired people with dwarfism to perform. Juan Alberto Duaso says he was one of five dwarfs at the bash with him now making an appearance alongside Jack in Ibiza. 8 Juan Alberto Duaso. one of five dwarfs at Yamal's birthday bash, dressed up like Jack for an appearance in Ibiza Credit: Instagram 8 Jack shot to fame overnight after clip went viral Credit: instagram/@ Duaso was filmed sporting a bowl cut wig and mirroring Jack as the influencer described him as a "mini" version of himself. A video of the pair dancing was captioned: "The final boss and the mini boss out tonight, see you soon." It's also been revealed that the lad has been in talks with Big Brother, and even launched his music career with a brand new dance track. The song is bouncy and upbeat, making it perfect for clubbing or dancing in Ibiza. Fans have already gone wild over the new track. On the TV rumours, a source told The Sun: 'The Ibiza Final Boss has really captured the nation's imagination and is exactly the kind of character that makes for a fun Big Brother housemate. "Bosses had talks with his management, it is very late in the casting process for housemates but everyone thought worth a chat whether it be in time for this series, even as part of a task, or for the future. 'Jack's reps Neon Management have been inundated with offers for him so he's certainly going to be busy for at least the next few months. 'They've seen an unprecedented level of interest in him, and that's the nation loves him.'

Love Is Blind UK fans have 'bad feeling' about season 2 couple after 'telling comment'
Love Is Blind UK season 2 is underway, with the cracks already starting to show for some couples on the Netflix series. *Warning - this article contains spoilers for Love Is Blind UK season 2.* Love Is Blind UK fans have been left divided over one couple, with some hoping they will go the distance and others predicting heartbreak. It comes after Netflix dropped the first four episodes of season 2 this week, with a fresh batch of British singles looking for love in the pods. One Love Is Blind pair that quickly became fan favourites were 29-year-old medical company owner Sarover and 31-year-old gym owner Kal. The couple have already faced a few obstacles, as they respectively come from Indian and Pakistani backgrounds, which they acknowledged could make it harder for their families to accept their romance. However, Kal and Sarover decided their connection was strong enough for them to overcome these difficulties and became engaged in the pods. Everything was going well when the pair jetted off to Cyprus, but things took a turn when Kal admitted Sarover was 'not his usual type'. This comment was clearly playing on Sarover's mind, as when they met the other couples in the process, she admitted that the comment had made her less sure of his physical attraction towards her. Fans were also concerned for the couple, with many taking to X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, to voice their thoughts. One wrote: 'Kal better not break Sarover's heart! She's a gorgeous girl… he is giving me a bad feeling with her not being his 'type'.' A second penned: 'Kal needs to stop singing about Sarover not being his type, like we get it, don't make the girl feel insecure.' While a third agreed: 'Kal is going to annoy me this season I don't want Saraover to feel insecure because she's absolutely stunning!' 'Is it me or Kal is not into Sarover… Sad because she seems so nice,' another lamented, as another pointed out: 'Ya'll couldn't tell Kal wasn't into Sarover at the reveal? He barely complimented her.' One more added: 'The kisses between Kal and Sarover seem a bit forced lmaoooo idk something is off with him.' However, Kal and Sarover also have plenty of supporters, with one person writing: 'Hold on, Kal and Sarover's first date was so cute. I'm rooting for them.' 'Kal and Sarover are my ship. I hope they go the distance,' a second tweeted, as another concurred: 'Sarover and Kal you've won me over already.' 'Rooting for Kal and Sarover, they're so pure,' yet another added, as one more thoughtfully wrote: 'Kal and Sarover. Super chill and beautiful. 'I'm looking forward to seeing how you both navigate your cultural differences. Their reveal… Gorgeous, gorgeous.' Nevertheless, Netflix viewers remain divided, with one more writing: 'I actually hope Kal and Sarover work out but idk I just don't see it.' The first four episodes of Love Is Blind UK season 2 are available to stream now on Netflix.

'Bollocks': Brian Cox pans historically inaccurate Braveheart
The Succession actor said the 1995 film, which features Mel Gibson in the starring role of William Wallace, was historically inaccurate and had a 'crap' script. According to Telegraph reports, the 79-year-old said during an appearance at the Edinburgh International Book Festival: 'The film is just bollocks. It doesn't make any sense.' READ MORE: Nicola Sturgeon says monarchy 'should end soon' at official book launch Cox appeared in Braveheart as Argyle Wallace, William Wallace's uncle, after initially rejecting the role to star in an eponymously titled film about Rob Roy, which also premiered in 1995. He said Gibson urged him to join the Braveheart cast. 'I said, 'Well, there is a very good part at the beginning, a guy called Argyle but I'm wrong for him because he should be cadaverous and thin',' Cox said. 'And he said: 'No, you can play it'.' Despite winning five Academy Awards, the film has been widely criticised for its historically inaccurate depiction of the Scottish Wars of Independence. It contained a romance between Wallace and Isabella of France, starting after the Battle of Falkirk. In reality, Isabella was a child and still living in France at the time. The childhood backstory given to Wallace is fictional as little to nothing is known about his younger years. The inclusion of Robert the Bruce has also been panned as inaccurate due to there being no evidence the pair ever interacted with one another. Characters are also seen wearing tartan, which was yet to be invented. READ MORE: 'Kiss my a**': TV star hits out at BBC over 'disgraceful' Strictly Come Dancing snub Cox added: 'I just didn't want to be in a kilt. Of course, they didn't have kilts in those days, but they had to have kilts [in Braveheart] because that is what it is about.' The actor went on to defend Gibson, calling him 'wonderful to work with'. 'He gets a bad rap but actually he is a really good man. I saw him deal with some lads [on the film] who were alcoholically inclined and he used to deal with them absolutely beautifully', Cox said. Gibson has repeatedly come under fire for racist, antisemitic, homophobic and misogynistic comments, as well as charges received for driving under the influence and investigations over domestic violence.
