Samsung Galaxy S26 sizes leak, lineup outlines similar strategy to Apple's iPhone 17
According to the report, the sizes of the base Galaxy S26 , the S26 Edge, and the S26 Ultra will be pretty similar to their Galaxy S25 counterparts. To be precise, the phones will have the following sizes: Base Galaxy S26 : 6.27 inches
: 6.27 inches Galaxy S26 Edge: 6.66 inches
Edge: 6.66 inches Galaxy S26 Ultra: 6.89 inches
It appears that Samsung will once again not be making its flagships larger, a decision that many users will be more than okay with. As of now, it seems that phone manufacturers have somewhat moved on from boasting about cameras and sizes, and are instead focusing on thickness and AI.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7, which is currently up for pre-ordering, was heavily marketed as a super slim foldable compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 6. Furthermore, Samsung once again talked about how it would provide the best AI experience on its phones. Though the Fold did see a camera upgrade, it wasn't anything groundbreaking: it just adopted the camera found on the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

The cancellation of the Plus model — and its replacement with the Edge — is a very similar strategy to what Apple is employing for the iPhone 17 . Apple will be introducing a new model this year, the iPhone 17 Air. The Air will be just like the Galaxy S25 Edge: focusing on aesthetics at the cost of some practicality. It will be also be replacing the iPhone Plus model due to poor sales.
However, Samsung and Apple are diverging in other aspects. Apple is reportedly making its Pro models thicker so that it can pack more battery into their chassis. Meanwhile, Samsung will be making its phones slimmer still, and will not be opting for improvements to battery capacity just yet.

Nvidia will soon resume sales of its AI chips in China
As we mentioned back in April, the U.S. might have shot itself in the foot by blocking Nvidia from selling its GPU chips, which are used as AI accelerators in China. This part of the story is easy to understand since it is well known that the U.S. seeks to prevent China from obtaining advanced chips amid concerns that they will be used to improve the country's military. But this ban resulted in Huawei receiving more orders inside China for its Ascend series of AI accelerators. Many of these sales would have gone to Nvidia except for the fact that the U.S. company, as noted, is banned from selling its GPUs in China. But in a statement released last night, Nvidia, the world's most valuable publicly traded company, says that it is filing applications with the U.S. government to resume shipping its H20 chips to China. The company expects to receive the licenses soon. The H20 chips that Nvidia hopes to sell in China are the most capable it can sell in the country. That is because of laws enacted by both President Donald Trump during his first term, and President Joe Biden. These chips are not as powerful as Nvidia's GPUs sold outside China. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang is currently in Beijing and set to speak during an event being held in the city tomorrow. The company released a statement that says, "The U.S. government has assured Nvidia that licenses will be granted, and Nvidia hopes to start deliveries soon." Huang has said that Nvidia could lose its position as a global AI leader if it remains unable to sell its chips in China. A report published today says that Chinese companies are rushing to place orders for Nvidia's GPU. These orders will have to be sent to the U.S. government for approval. Among Chinese firms reportedly getting ready to submit orders are TikTok parent ByteDance and Chinese conglomerate Tencent. For the fiscal year ended January 26th, 2025, Nvidia took in $17 billion in revenue from China, equivalent to 13% of the company's global sales. Chinese tech companies still favor Nvidia's computing platform, known as CUDA (Compute Unified Device Architecture). CUDA allows developers to take advantage of the parallel processing used by Nvidia's GPUs. This type of processing allows multiple tasks to be handled simultaneously while using multiple cores. It is critical for AI, where billions and trillions of operations are handled at the same time. Investors are reacting to this new by pushing Nvidia's shares up 3.98% to $170.60. iPhone Fold's crease-free folding screen to be made by Samsung Display
Once again, a new rumor claims Apple's first foldable iPhone will use a crease-free folding screen made by Samsung Display. In fact, Apple had no input into the panel's design, it's all Samsung on this one - and this is notable because of how rarely it happens, as Apple generally likes to customize every single part it uses in its devices. Not this time, though, and the reason is allegedly to "ensure stable mass production" of the foldable iPhone, planned to arrive in the second half of next year. A custom display solution may not have achieved the same yields as what Samsung Display can offer with its own design. Apple's decision to go all-in with Samsung Display's crease-free solution will benefit the latter's suppliers, including Fine M-Tec, a key provider of internal hinges, which has emerged as the leading beneficiary according to Ming-Chi Kuo, a renowned source of Apple-related information from the supply chains. According to him, Fine M-Tec will have an 80% share (or more) of the supply of this part. The internal hinge is a key part of a crease-free folding screen, as this metal plate helps distribute and control bending stress, preventing the display material from exceeding its elastic limit. And that's how the likelihood of creasing is minimized, Kuo explains. For all of this to work, the metal plate must be highly integrated with the display design, and that's exactly what Samsung Display and Fine M-Tec have achieved. For Apple's folding iPhone, laser drilling will be used to create microstructures that better guide stress distribution and enhance crease resistance. Fine M-Tec should start shipping display metal plates for the foldable iPhone in the first quarter of next year, with unit prices apparently being in the $30-35 range. Shipments are reportedly expected to reach 13-15 million units in 2026, but those aren't the projected sales numbers for the iPhone Fold - they will be lower, more such plates need to be produced than actual iPhone Folds shipped due to yield losses and repair stock requirements. Samsung Galaxy S25 FE camera: All you need to know
Although Samsung has released all kinds of Galaxy phones so far this year, it's far from over for the largest Android manufacturer out there, as another Galaxy S25 version is reportedly scheduled to arrive later this year (possibly in October). That's right, the Galaxy S25 FE is likely coming sometime around October with a design that's very closely following the Galaxy S25 and pretty much the same hardware as the mid-sized flagship phone. The Galaxy S25 FE will be thinner and lighter in contrast with the Galaxy S24 FE, with an Armor Aluminum build, the Exynos 2400 chipset, a larger battery with faster charging, and finally, a 6.7-inchFHD+ display with a 1-120 Hz refresh rate. Overall, this phone shapes up to be a very decent successor to the Galaxy S24 FE , but it remains to be seen if all these rumored changes will turn out to be real. Apparently, the Galaxy S25 FE will come with the same camera system as the Galaxy S24 FE . This means that we will likely get a 50MP main camera with an F1.8 aperture, an 8MP telephoto with 3X optical zoom, and finally a 12MP ultrawide camera. No hardware changes in the main camera system, as far as we can see. The only change that's hinted to be coming to the Galaxy S25 FE is a new 12MP selfie camera, a slight upgrade from the 10MP one on the Galaxy S24 FE . This 12MP selfie camera will most certainly turn out to be the same one that's currently making the rounds on the rest of the Galaxy S25 range, so we expect it to be an autofocusing one. Here's how the Galaxy S25 FE will likely stack up against the Galaxy S24 FE if we take all these rumors into account. These days, software plays an equal, if not a bigger part inimage processingg than hardware. Time and time again, Samsung has revealed that it can greatly shake up the image processing and therefore the image quality between two phone generations that come with basically the same hardware at the back. This makes us think that even though the Galaxy S25 FE will carry the same rear cameras as its predecessor, it might take drastically different photos and videos.
