Chris Hemsorth's A-list Ibiza birthday bash
Hemsworth had assembled an A-list crew of family and friends to mark his birthday on Monday, including his fellow actor brothers Luke and Liam, Oscar winner Matt Damon, actor / director Taika Waititi and his wife, pop star Rita Ora.
Hemsworth is currently working in Europe, but wife Elsa has stayed home and was spotted this week having a decidedly less glamorous day out: Heading out to do grocery shopping in Byron Bay near the couple's beachside manor, reusable bags in tow.
Liam Hemsworth paid birthday tribute to his brother on Instagram yesterday, sharing a photo of all three brothers together on the boat trip with the message: 'Happy birthday brother Chris! Thanks for always being such a wonderful legend. Never change. I hope I have abs like you when I grow up. Love you.'
It was a rare pic of Liam, Luke and Chris all together – but many of Liam's followers were more distracted by shirtless Chris' ultra-jacked physique.
'I'll take the abs, the boat invite, and maybe just 10% of the Hemsworth genetics,' one fan quipped.
Another declared it 'just not fair to all the other men on the planet.'
Meanwhile, Chris' wife Elsa may not have been there to celebrate with him in person, but the 49-year-old Spanish actress did share a sweet message on social media in honour of her husband and father to her three children.
'Happy birthday to my Rocky Balboa,' Pataky wrote alongside a video post with several photos.
'You're the best of the best.'
Chris has been spending much of his time in the UK of late, with production on Marvel's hugely anticipated Avengers film currently underway.
He's set to reprise his role of Thor, which he debuted in 2011, alongside fellow MCU great Robert Downey Jr. in Avengers: Doomsday, which hits cinemas next year.

Hollywood megastar flaunts ripped abs on Ibiza holiday
After nearly four decades in showbiz, Matt Damon is looking as ripped as ever. The 54-year-old Hollywood actor is enjoying a holiday in Ibiza, Spain, for Australian star Chris Hemsworth's 42nd birthday. The Jason Bourne star was photographed soaking up the sun on a yacht alongside his wife Luciana Barroso, flaunting his buff figure in a pair of navy swim shorts. While Damon has usually kept in solid shape, fulfilling a string of action roles over the years, he recently got particularly shredded for director Christopher Nolan's upcoming film The Odyssey, which shot in Italy earlier this year. The action fantasy feature is brimming with a cohort of A-listers, including Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson and Charlize Theron. The movie follows Odysseus (Damon), king of Ithaca, returning home under perilous circumstances following the Trojan War. It's slated for a July 2026 release. In the meantime, Damon has been enjoying time off, joined by the Hemsworth brothers, Chris, Liam and Luke, as well as New Zealand director Taika Waititi and pop star wife Rita Ora for some fun on the Spanish island. Absent from the star-studded squad was Chris' wife, Elsa Pataky, who was spotted this week grocery shopping in Byron Bay near the couple's beachside mansion. Liam paid birthday tribute to his brother on Instagram earlier this week, sharing a photo of all three brothers together on the boat trip with the message: 'Happy birthday brother Chris! Thanks for always being such a wonderful legend. Never change. I hope I have abs like you when I grow up. Love you.' Liam's long-term girlfriend Gabriella Brooks was also spotted in Ibiza appearing to be flashing a new ring on her engagement finger. The Hunger Games actor began dating Brooks sometime in late 2019, shortly after Hemsworth's marriage breakdown with US pop star Miley Cyrus.

From Snoop Dogg to Tom Brady, stars flock to English second-tier clubs
When Snoop Dogg sang the praises of Swansea City, it signalled the unlikely arrival of the latest celebrity owner in the once unfashionable Championship, English football's second tier. The American rapper has joined the Welsh club's ownership structure, investing an undisclosed sum to rub shoulders with former Real Madrid stalwart and World Cup finalist Luka Modric, who has also sunk his money into the club. "The story of the club and the area really struck a chord with me. This is a proud, working-class city and club. An underdog that bites back, just like me," Snoop said in an introductory video. In North Wales, Wrexham are dreaming of an extraordinary promotion to the Premier League this season on the back of the enthusiastic and lucrative support of Hollywood star Ryan "Deadpool" Reynolds and fellow actor Rob McElhenney. Meanwhile, former Super Bowl-winning quarterback Tom Brady has a minority stake in Birmingham City, very much the second club in England's second city after Premier League outfit Aston Villa. His arrival in 2023 was not met with universal approval, with one fan asking "Tom Brady, who's he?" in the Amazon Prime Video series "Built in Birmingham: Brady and the Blues" which follows his early, whirlwind involvement in the club that includes the sacking of manager Wayne Rooney. Brady says his is a "visionary role" and he tries -- not always successfully -- to pass on his experience of winning seven Super Bowl winner's rings to the Birmingham players and their young manager, Chris Davies. But why do so many celebrities want to invest a slice of their fortunes into the Championship? Christopher Winn, course leader at the University Campus of Football Business (UCFB), told AFP the principal reason was because they see it as an attractive investment -- with the carrot of the Premier League's riches if the team can gain promotion proving irresistible. "There is the notion of long-term returns, in other words buying low (in a lower league) and selling high," Winn told AFP. "While on-field success and subsequent off-field returns are no guarantee, should the promised land of the Premier League be reached, a significant profit would likely be generated on any future sale of the club, in other words generating returns for investors well beyond their initial investment and operational outlay. "Granted, that does not mean the investors are all out to make a return -- football can often be a game of utility maximisation after all, and for some a personally funded passion project." - 'We could make money' - Brady's friend and co-owner at Birmingham, the New York-based investor Tom Wagner, reveals in the documentary they originally tried to buy a Premier League team but the deal fell through. Then the chance to snap up Birmingham presented itself. "We thought we could make some money, have a good return, which is our ultimate objective, so we just couldn't pass it up," Wagner says. Birmingham manager Davies has quickly felt the effect of having a sporting icon breathing down his neck -- he good-naturedly recounted to The Times that his attempts to relax on a family holiday in the Maldives were disrupted by Brady insisting on scheduling daily conference calls at the children's dinner time. In Wagner and Brady's first season, Birmingham crashed down into League One, or England's third division, but with Davies in charge they emphatically secured promotion to the Championship this year, romping away with the League One title with a record points total. That was largely due to the Americans' injection of funds for new players such as forward Jay Stansfield, acquired from Premier League club Fulham for £15 million ($20.3 million), a huge fee for League One. Celebrities are active behind the scenes at other Championship clubs. Birmingham kicked off the season last week with a 1-1 home draw against Ipswich Town, who count multi-million-selling music star Ed Sheeran among their financial backers. Ipswich confirmed last year that Sheeran had bought a 1.4% stake in his local club and he has been the shirt sponsor for the last four years – although in a cautionary tale for other star owners, his involvement did not stop Ipswich being relegated from the Premier League last season.

Dua Lipa celebrates 30th birthday in racy cut-out gown amid Ibiza holiday
Though Dua Lipa doesn't turn 30 until next week, the singer has kicked off the festivities a bit early, turning heads in a white sequin dress with a cheeky butt cutout. Ever the world traveller, Lipa is currently on a getaway in Ibiza with her fiance Callum Turner, immediate family and a handful of friends, to commemorate the milestone birthday. 'Early birthday celebrations on my favourite island with my favourite people wearing the most gorgeous dress Simon made for me … I can't bloody wait for 30!!!!,' the UK hit-maker captioned an Instagram carousel. As for the Simon in her caption? That would be namesake designer Simon Porte Jacquemus, a close friend of Lipa's who joined her for the intimate birthday gathering. For the pop star's dreamy island bash, he designed a white sequin floor-length gown with a high neckline, open back and large cutout around her left hip. Lipa accented the custom creation with pointy white flats, statement stud earrings, chunky silver bangles and sparkly rings. She went with minimal makeup, putting all the attention on her sun-kissed skin and long mermaid-like waves. 'Love you ma chérie,' Jacquemus commented on her post. 'Simon, plz, i need this dress,' one person pleaded. 'Queen of making every year look like the best year,' Spotify's account wrote. On Sunday, Lipa shared another Instagram slide show, featuring photos from the couple's vacation. 'Resting meeee bones before I carry on dancing into my 30s!!!!!!' she captioned the post. In the first snap, Lipa flaunted her bikini body in polka-dot swimwear. Then, in the following photo, the musician posed with her soon-to-be-husband, wearing another black and white dotted string bikini. We can't wait to see what she wears for her big day later this month.
