17,000,000 Netflix users risk £1,000 fine over John Cena's final WWE SummerSlam
This weekend, John Cena will make his final SummerSlam appearance in East Rutherford, New Jersey, ahead of his retirement at the end of the year.
The highly anticipated event promises to be one of the most exciting in the 2025 wrestling calendar with big names like Randy Orton, Roman Reigns, CM Punk and Cody Rhodes all set to appear.
If you can't make it to New Jersey, though, don't worry. The competition is set to be livestreamed around the world, and fans in the UK can tune in using Netflix.
However, before you get too excited, be warned, if you've not got a TV license, then you really shouldn't be tuning in.

According to the TV License website, a license is required to watch any live event, even if you're watching it over a streaming service.
'You need to be covered by a TV Licence to watch live on streaming services such as ITVX, Channel 4, YouTube, Amazon Prime Video, Now, Sky Go, YouTube, and Netflix,' their website reads.
It is therefore against the law to watch SummerSlam on Netflix without a TV license.
Should you tune in regardless, you could be prosecuted and face a 'maximum penalty of £1,000 plus any legal costs and/or compensation you may be ordered to pay.'
That means if you're one of the estimated 17.6 million people who subscribe to Netflix and you're thinking of watching Cena's final match, maybe get the license sorted before Saturday.
According to the BBC, just last year, there were 25,550 convictions for licence fee evasion.
The TV License covers: All TV channels – like BBC, ITV, Channel 4, U&Dave and international channels
Pay TV services – like Sky, Virgin Media and EE TV
Live TV on streaming services – like YouTube, Netflix, and Amazon Prime Video
Everything on BBC iPlayer
Thankfully, it's very likely you already have a license.
The TV licensing body estimates that in 2025, almost 88% of households which need a TV licence will have one.
The License Fee remains a decisive issue in the UK.
Those against it believe it's an unfair tax that forces people to pay for a service they may not use. More Trending
Critics also point out how unfair it is that it's a flat fee, meaning the richest and poorest both pay the same amount.
Proponents, meanwhile, point out that the License Fee allows the BBC to maintain a degree of editorial impartiality that other media outlets can't while also freeing the channel from pesky adverts.
Metro has approached the BBC and TV Licensing authority for comment.
SummerSlam will air on Netflix from August 2-3 (if you have a TV license)

Hollywood star issues sweet message as Welsh festival begins It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia actor Rob McElhenney was seen in a short clip practising his Welsh words and phrases Well-known Hollywood actor Rob McElhenney has welcomed the National Eisteddfod 2025 - all in Welsh. The It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia actor, who is also the co-owner of Wrexham AFC alongside fellow Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds, was seen in a short clip practising his Welsh words and phrases as the cultural festival kickstarts this weekend. The American actor was aided by Maxine Hughes, a Welsh journalist from Conwy who now lives in Washington D.C. The journalist has been helping both McElhenney and Reynolds with learning Welsh since they took over the north Wales club in 2020. At the start of the short clip, Maxine begins: "Ok, let's do: 'Croeso i'r Eisteddfod yn Wrecsam', which I know you can do this because we've done the 'croeso' many times before". Rob then repeats 'Croeso i'r Eisteddfod yn Wrecsam' in near perfect Welsh, but as Maxine points out the 'y' in the word 'yn', which means 'in' in Welsh, has a distinctive sound. By his second attempt, the comedian and actor has perfect pronunciation of the phrase and seemingly knows it as his smile beams. The sweet clip comes as the National Eisteddfod begins in the Welsh city on Saturday, August 2. The week-long cultural festival will take place at Is-y-Coed in Wrexham, the first time it has been held in the city since 2011. Pride and Prejudiced! Scots star Freya Mavor's dramatic reveal
Film and TV adaptations of Jane Austen's classic novel Pride and Prejudice are some of the most famous period dramas ever to grace the silver screen. However, despite being cast in the latest incarnation of the renowned love story, Scots actress Freya Mavor has admitted she isn't the biggest fan of the genre. Due to be broadcast by streaming giant Netflix, the new show also features The Crown stars Olivia Colman and Emma Corrin, as well as fellow Scot Jack Lowden, who takesa on the role of the brooding Mr Darcy. And it isn't the first time Mavor has taken part in a period drama. She is currently starring as a duplicitous thief in BBC series Marie Antoinette. However, discussing what similar TV shows and films she has watched in preparation for her role on the Beeb, Ms Mavor admitted it isn't a TV genre she consumes much of. Discussing her preparation for her role on Marie Antoinette, Ms Mavor told the Mail on Sunday: 'I definitely didn't do any period drama watching for research. 'I definitely did much more like reading and I also sort of watched other things that would inspire me for her character and for her role in the world.' She added: 'To be fair, I'm not a huge watcher of period dramas.' However, Ms Mavor was quick to point out that despite not watching many of them, she finds those she has seen 'gripping'. She said: 'Amazingly done period dramas [are] so gripping. The other worldliness of them is always very like enticing.' Ms Mavor will play Jane Bennet in the Regency drama, following in the footsteps of Maureen O'Sullivan, Rosamund Pike and Susannah Harker, who have all played the role on screen. Her cast-member Emma Corrin meanwhile will play the lead role of Elizabeth Bennet - a role made famous by the likes of Keira Knightley and Jennifer Ehle, who played the love interest to Colin Firth. Ms Mavor, 31, lived in La Rochelle in France after moving from Edinburgh when she was nine. She came back to Scotland's capital at 14 before leaving for Bristol to star in her breakout role, Mini in Channel 4 drama Skins. And it isn't just Ms Mavor who has starred in period dramas before. Lowden, from Oxton in the Borders, starred in Mary Queen of Scots - the film where he met his future wife Saoirse Ronan. His part as Mr Darcy will see him take on a role famously portrayed by Colin Firth.
