Hollyoaks confirms seriously dark twist as Clare Devine commits her cruelest act

Hollyoaks spoilers follow for Wednesday's (June 18) episode that is now available to view on Channel 4 streaming. The episode in question will air on E4 on at 7pm.
Gemma Bissix certainly wasn't kidding when she told me earlier this month that we'd see Clare Devine as we never have done before, with a shock new story kicking off.
Legendary Hollyoaks schemer Clare has made quite a splash since returning from the dead, clashing with sister Grace Black (Tamara Wall) and ordering her death, threatening Robbie Roscoe (Charlie Wernham) and making an enemy of Sienna Blake (Anna Passey).
It's not even been a month yet since she returned. Getting on the wrong side of that many people is an impressive feat – even for Clare!
With adopted daughter Tori (Harriet O'Shea) now back in the care of the Blakes and Sienna refusing to let her visit, Clare was determined to do whatever it takes to win her daughter back.
Simply put: Nothing will stand in her way.
Following her multiple attempts to kill Grace – who gave Tori back to the Blakes – Clare headed to the hospital during Wednesday's offering of the long-running drama, dressed in black on the day of Alistair Banks' (Drew Cain) funeral.

Donny Clark (Louis Emerick), however, refused to let her see Grace, suspecting that the once-thought-to-be-dead villain was up to no good where her sister was concerned.
As Clare waited in the waiting room, she witnessed numerous patients receiving treatment for cancer, which left her with food for thought.
Soon afterwards, she pretended to bump into Dodger Savage (Danny Mac) and informed him that she has been diagnosed with cancer – and the chemo isn't working. She produced a single strand of hair which she claimed had fallen out of her head.
Sienna couldn't get her head around Clare's diagnosis, believing it to be a ploy to get what she wants. If anyone is equipped to know how Clare's brain is hardwired, it's Sienna, who urged Dodger to see that she was simply lying to get her own way.

Dodger wasn't so sure and thus he decided to investigate. Clare, meanwhile, saw an opportunity to make her lie all the more convincing, wearing a headscarf as she picked up a few groceries from Price Slice, which Dodge helped her carry home.
Ever the hero.
Back at the flat, Clare asked Dodger if he'd help her shave her head, which he ultimately did. A flicker of a spark seemed to develop between the two and Dodger told Clare that he'd ensure she gets time to see Tori given her prognosis.
Clare smiled into the mirror, her mission having firmly been accomplished. The question is: will her secret be exposed? More Trending
It seems to be a bit of a long-runner, with series star Gemma telling Metro last week: 'There's a big, big storyline coming up where Clare dupes the whole village.
'You'll see Clare in a way you've never seen her before – completely stripped back.'

It led to Alfie and Stacey hurrying to try to find out where Zoe had gone. But time was up and Zoe revealed she would not be making a permanent return to Walford. Speaking to the pair over the phone, Zoe said: "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to cause you no trouble." ‌ Despite Stacey's best attempts to reassure her, Zoe's mind was made up as she told them she couldn't come back. She sadly said: "I've got to go." And she went on to confess: "Don't look for me. It was a mistake. After weeks of speculation, it was finally confirmed that Michelle Ryan had reprised her role as Kat Slater's daughter for the first time since leaving Albert Square in 2005. But it's now left up in the air as to whether Zoe will eventually return or if it was a fleeting cameo.

Carla proud in early ITVX Coronation Street release as Lisa takes a huge step

The following article contains spoilers from an episode of Coronation Street that hasn't aired on ITV1 yet, but can be viewed on ITVX. A drag night at the Rovers Return in Coronation Street has prompted DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) to make a brave decision. The beloved character reluctantly made her way to the pub in this evening's episode alongside Carla Connor (Alison King). Swain certainly isn't boring, but spending a few hours drinking and partying with fellow Weatherfield residents is something not exactly high on her list of priorities. Carla and Lisa were surrounded by the likes of Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank), Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey) and Glenda Shuttleworth (Jodie Prenger), who were all looking forward to the drag act and an evening of laughs. It took Lisa a little while to warm up but eventually, after some gentle encouragement from Carla, she started to smile and really enjoy herself. The drag night was impacted by a troubled Theo (James Cartwright) but ultimately, a great success. As Carla and Lisa reflected on the evening back at the flat, it prompted Lisa to make a decision. The copper announced to Carla that she's going to attend counselling, and the comment made Carla feel proud. More Trending Lisa has been struggling ever since Craig Tinker was killed on duty. The murder reminded Lisa of her ex Becky, who also died while at work. Want to be the first to hear shocking EastEnders spoilers? Who's leaving Coronation Street? The latest gossip from Emmerdale?
