Missing MP lawyer traced in UP's town on Nepal border after 12 days
Tiwari, who was heading to Katni from Indore on the intervening nights of August 7-8 for Rakshabandhan festival, did not reach her destination and was missing since then.
"Government Railway Police (GRP) personnel finally traced Archana Tiwari in Lakhimpur-Khiri town on the Indo-Nepal border after 12 days of hectic search," SP (Railways) Rahul Kumar Lodha said.
Cops are bringing her back to Bhopal and after recording her statement, details of the entire episode will be known, he said. Tiwari's kin earlier suspected that she was a victim of human trafficking and sought a CBI probe, but Lodha did not say anything about this angle.
According to police, the last location of the 29-year-old lawyer was traced to Itarsi station.
After that, her mobile phone was found switched off. Tiwari was a practicing lawyer at the Indore bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court. She was also preparing for a civil judge examination.
She left for Katni on August 7 by the Narmada Express train, but did not reach her destination. Tiwari's family members later lodged a missing person complaint at the Rani Kamalapati GRP police station in Bhopal.
Police searched for clues in areas ranging from Rani Kamalapati station to Itarsi and Katni, and scanned CCTV cameras of stations and surrounding areas. Lodha said Tiwari's last location was Itarsi station.

Jaipur Woman, Lover Arrested For Murdering Her Husband, Watched TV Show 'CID' To Get Ideas
Jaipur Police arrested a woman and her lover for killing her husband. The murder plot was inspired by crime shows like CID. In a chilling case reported from Rajasthan's Jaipur, a woman allegedly killed her husband with the help of her lover and dumped the body near a football ground. This is the second such incident reported from Rajasthan in a couple of days. Earlier this month, 35-year-old Manoj Kumar Raigar's body was found, his throat was slit. In the preliminary investigation, police could not find anything substantial. As per a report by India Today, on investigating the CCTV footage, Manoj was seen sitting in an E-rickshaw along with another man. On investigating this angle, police focused on Rishi Srivastava, the victim's friend and his wife's lover. Upon being questioned, Rishi confessed and told the police that he conspired with the two men to kill Manoj. The accused used different SIM cards to orchestrate the murder. Both the wife and her lover are now arrested. In another case reported from Jaipur on Tuesday, a woman and her lover were arrested in connection with the murder of her husband in Kheirathal Tijara district. As per the police, Laxmi Devi, the wife of Hansram, and her lover Jitendra Sharma, the son of the married couple's landlord, were held Monday night after being absconding. After killing the husband, the duo dumped his body in a plastic tank. They absconded and after being caught, they confessed to the crime during questioning. The incident that took place in the Kishangarhbas Police Station area came to light on Sunday. Superintendent of Police Manish Chaudhary said the two were detained from a brick kiln in Alwada village of Alwar district. 'Initial investigations indicate that Laxmi and Jitendra plotted the murder in a bid to conceal their affair. The victim, Hansram, was killed on the night of August 15. The body was later found inside a blue plastic drum on the roof of their rented accommodation," SP was quoted as saying by PTI.
