Harry Styles Joins Several Musical Legends Thanks To His Vinyl Success
The Official Charts Company is celebrating a major milestone, and the chart compiler has been pulling back the curtain to reveal which artists have ruled one of the U.K.'s most competitive tallies for the past decade. In honor of the vinyl chart's 10-year anniversary, the organization has shared a list of the bestselling new vinyl albums (meaning non-catalog titles) in the country since 2015.
As expected, Taylor Swift dominates the list, but she's not the only major name with more than one winner. Harry Styles also manages to appear multiple times inside the ranking's top 10, as his fans don't just snap up the music he releases – they make sure to do so in huge numbers on vinyl.
Styles snags a pair of placements inside the top 10 on the Official Charts Company's ranking of the most-purchased new vinyl albums of the past 10 years in the U.K. Unsurprisingly, only two other artists can claim the same.
His most recent full-length, Harry's House, leads the charge at No. 3. Not far behind is Fine Line, which lands at No. 6 on the list. That collection marked a turning point in Styles' solo career, featuring smashes like 'Watermelon Sugar' and 'Adore You,' both of which helped establish him not just as a rocker, but also a pop star in his own right.
Styles' two bestsellers put him in the company of Taylor Swift and David Bowie. Both musical giants also claim more than one title inside the top 10.
Looking beyond just the loftiest tier, Styles accrues one more bestseller. All three of his solo studio albums appear inside the top 20. His debut self-titled set, Harry Styles, isn't quite a top 10 performer, but it does come in at No. 17.
Thanks at least in part to vinyl sales, Styles' albums have also found success on the main Official Albums chart in the U.K., which tracks total consumption. Harry's House made a grand entrance at No. 1 and remained a favorite for months. Fine Line came close to doing the same, peaking at No. 2 – his only miss – while Harry Styles also reached the summit back in 2017.

A Guide to Harry Styles's London
As a longtime disciple in the House of Harry, I know the 31-year-old somehow manages to be everywhere and nowhere all at the same time. One day Harry Styles is running a marathon in Tokyo, the next he's dining al fresco in Rome. But despite his globe-trotting ways, one thing will never change: his love affair with London. Of course, he's not a native Londoner (he was born in Worcestershire, and grew up in Cheshire), but having lived in the capital on and off since his One Direction breakout 15 years ago, it's safe to say he's pretty well acquainted. Here's how Harry Styles does London. London Fashion Week Once upon a time, Harry Styles was an LFW mainstay. Burberry, House of Holland, Fashion East—in 2014, there was nary a front row on which he did not feature. After a brief (10 year!) hiatus, Styles recently returned to the FROW for a very special occasion: S.S. Daley's spring 2025 show, the brand's first foray into womenswear. As a minority stakeholder in the craft-driven company, Styles showed his support by taking up his spot on the front row next to Vogue's Anna Wintour. And of course, he wore SS Daley for the occasion. Lime biking No car? No problem. Styles likes to use a Lime to get from A to B—there have been a flurry of sightings of Harry on two wheels across the city over the past couple of years. He's even inspired a few imitators, from hoaxes on TikTok to the actual Timothée Chalamet arriving to his own red-carpet premiere by bike. Matcha runs in Marylebone Who can resist a sunny spring walk through London with an iced matcha in hand? Not Harry—especially if it's from How Matcha! on Blandford Street. After being spotted there for a morning fix—wired headphones and The Row fit in tow—he inspired many in the Vogue office to a) get a matcha, and b) dust off their favorite brown loafers. Other spots he loves? Jolene in Stoke Newington, Café Leon Dore in Soho, and Farm Shop in Mayfair, where he was recently snapped catching up with pal James Cordon. High-low cultural excursions Artists know inspiration can strike at any moment, be it at the ballet or a football match. Styles frequents both: last year he took in a production of Tchaikovsky's classic Swan Lake at the Royal Opera House just weeks after watching Luton Town play Manchester United at Kenilworth Road. By the looks of things, he had a blast at both. House by the Heath Hampstead Heath is beloved by the rich and famous (Ariana Grande literally released a song about how much she loved her own time living there while filming Wicked), so Styles's affinity for the NW3 postcode should come as no surprise. He reportedly owns three houses in the area, and is often spotted out and about and attempting to keep a low profile. Maximize your visit to the Heath with a dip in the pond, a browse of Daunt Books, and a coffee at The Nook. Festival season Our north-west Londoner Harry… in east London? Apparently so. Styles spent the first weekend of June in Victoria Park for Jamie xx's inaugural Lido festival, watching along from the VIP section with his longtime collaborators Kid Harpoon, Yaffra and Patience Harding. It was cold and rainy but it didn't stop him from having a good time with his pals. I couldn't help but wonder: might he have an itch for Glastonbury now, too?

Miley Cyrus Blocks Taylor Swift From Returning To No. 1
Taylor Swift's Reputation soars to No. 2 on the Official Albums Download chart in the U.K., blocked ... More from No. 1 by Something Beautiful, the new Miley Cyrus album. SAN JOSE, CA - DECEMBER 02: (EDITORS NOTE: This images has been converted to Black & White) Singer Taylor Swift performs at 99.7 NOW! Presents POPTOPIA at SAP Center on December 2, 2017 in San Jose, California. (Photo by Steve Jennings/WireImage) Taylor Swift's albums are soaring on charts around the world this week after the singer-songwriter announced that she has finally gained control over the masters to her early work. Every title in her catalog is benefiting from the exciting news, but none seem to have attracted the ardor of her legion of fans quite like Reputation. In the U.K., the project nearly returned to the top of the charts, and it narrowly misses out on the No. 1 spot as interest in the set explodes. Reputation reappears on the Official Albums Download chart at No. 2. It's blocked from reclaiming the throne on the list of the most-downloaded projects in the nation by Something Beautiful, the latest full-length by Miley Cyrus. That project kicks off its time on two of the five rankings on which it debuts at No. 1. While Reputation just barely misses out on landing at No. 1 on the Official Albums Download chart this week, it has previously spent time in the penthouse. The electronic-leaning effort opened in that position in November 2017, when it was brand new. Since then, Reputation has racked up a total of 75 stays on the 100-spot roster, three of which have been inside the top 10 — though it hasn't been seen in that region since December 2017, just a few frames after it arrived. Reputation is currently present on half a dozen charts in the U.K., and it lives inside the top 10 on four of them. The set reappears on four rankings, bolting from No. 70 to No. 7 on the Official Albums chart, the main ranking of the most consumed projects in the country. It also finds its way back to the uppermost tier on the Official Albums Sales roster at No. 6 and the Official Physical Albums list at No. 10. Reputation only misses the top 10 on the Official Albums Streaming and Official Vinyl Albums charts, landing at Nos. 12 and 14, respectively. The hit-packed project climbs dozens of spaces on the streaming-only roster, but has to reappear on the vinyl tally, as sales of the set had dwindled in recent years after Swift made clear that she was no longer supporting consumption of the effort until she got around to recording Reputation (Taylor's Version) — something that may never arrive at this point.

Metallica Dominates One Chart As Several Blockbuster Albums Return
Last week, Metallica celebrated its presence on one chart in the United Kingdom as the band's self-titled effort — often referred to simply as The Black Album — reached a major milestone. That set is still performing well, and this time around, it's joined by several other notable releases as consumption of the group's music grows significantly. Three Metallica projects return to the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart this week. 72 Seasons, Master of Puppets, and Ride the Lightning reenter the genre-specific ranking at Nos. 27, 35, and 38, respectively. Two of those three efforts have previously topped the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart. Ride the Lightning is the only one that has thus far failed to do so, though it came very close when it peaked in the runner-up spot. Metallica claims 10% of the 40-position Official Rock & Metal Albums ranking this week as its self-titled effort jumps nearly 10 spaces and lands at No. 29, just two spots behind 72 Seasons. Last frame, it celebrated 1,000 weeks as one of the top-selling rock or metal projects in the country. Metallica — the album — doubles the number of tallies it appears on as it breaks back onto the Official Album Downloads list this frame. It finds a home at No. 97 on that roster, earning just its thirty-fifth stay as one of the most downloaded full-lengths in the U.K. Impressively, Metallica claims twice as many successful albums as hit songs this week. The group fills a pair of spaces inside the top 40 on the Official Rock & Metal Singles chart as "Enter Sandman" holds at No. 7 and "Nothing Else Matters" lifts several spaces to No. 34.
