Harry Styles Joins Several Musical Legends Thanks To His Vinyl Success
The Official Charts Company is celebrating a major milestone, and the chart compiler has been pulling back the curtain to reveal which artists have ruled one of the U.K.'s most competitive tallies for the past decade. In honor of the vinyl chart's 10-year anniversary, the organization has shared a list of the bestselling new vinyl albums (meaning non-catalog titles) in the country since 2015.
As expected, Taylor Swift dominates the list, but she's not the only major name with more than one winner. Harry Styles also manages to appear multiple times inside the ranking's top 10, as his fans don't just snap up the music he releases – they make sure to do so in huge numbers on vinyl.
Styles snags a pair of placements inside the top 10 on the Official Charts Company's ranking of the most-purchased new vinyl albums of the past 10 years in the U.K. Unsurprisingly, only two other artists can claim the same.
His most recent full-length, Harry's House, leads the charge at No. 3. Not far behind is Fine Line, which lands at No. 6 on the list. That collection marked a turning point in Styles' solo career, featuring smashes like 'Watermelon Sugar' and 'Adore You,' both of which helped establish him not just as a rocker, but also a pop star in his own right.
Styles' two bestsellers put him in the company of Taylor Swift and David Bowie. Both musical giants also claim more than one title inside the top 10.
Looking beyond just the loftiest tier, Styles accrues one more bestseller. All three of his solo studio albums appear inside the top 20. His debut self-titled set, Harry Styles, isn't quite a top 10 performer, but it does come in at No. 17.
Thanks at least in part to vinyl sales, Styles' albums have also found success on the main Official Albums chart in the U.K., which tracks total consumption. Harry's House made a grand entrance at No. 1 and remained a favorite for months. Fine Line came close to doing the same, peaking at No. 2 – his only miss – while Harry Styles also reached the summit back in 2017.

Billie Eilish's Mid-Career Album Becomes A Bestseller Again
Billie Eilish has only released three full-length albums during her career, yet what she has accomplished with that trio of projects is incredible. In just over half a decade, and with only a few dozen tunes, she has not only proved herself to be one of the most successful and creative musicians of her generation, but also one of the most exciting artists of all time. It's not uncommon for Eilish's three albums to chart simultaneously on various Billboard rankings. The trio are almost always found on tallies like the Billboard 200 and rock- and alternative-specific lists. One of those three albums is experiencing something of a comeback this week, as it returns to multiple tallies at once, as Americans continue to buy the set years after it originally became a smash success. After proving herself with her debut When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, Eilish showed she was no one-era wonder with her sophomore full-length, Happier Than Ever. That set is a bestseller again in America as it reenters both the Top Album Sales and Vinyl Albums charts. This week, it returns to the all-encompassing list of the top-selling albums in the country at No. 49, in second-to-last place. It also makes a comeback on the vinyl-only tally, landing at No. 25, the lowest possible position on that ranking. A healthy sales spike is responsible for Happier Than Ever's resurgence. According to Luminate, from one tracking period to the next, sales of the project increased by nearly 10%, rising from just over 2,000 to more than 2,200. That's quite an accomplishment for a years-old release that Eilish herself has long since stopped promoting. While Happier Than Ever reappears on two tallies, it is largely otherwise declining this frame in the U.S., as it slips on the Billboard 200 and Top Rock & Alternative Albums rankings. It does, however, manage to climb one spot on the Top Alternative Albums list, reversing course and stepping up to No. 18. Both When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? and Eilish's most recent project, Hit Me Hard and Soft, can be found on at least three Billboard rankings apiece. While her debut set is primarily declining — but not by much — Hit Me Hard and Soft lifts everywhere, even returning to No. 1 on two of the half-dozen rankings it can currently be found on.

Metallica's Self-Titled Album Reaches An Incredible Milestone
It's a big week for Metallica on the charts in the United Kingdom. The hard rock group is one of several acts from that side of the music business that maintains a constant presence on at least one or two tallies at a time, but this period is especially thrilling for the band, as Metallica returns to multiple rankings with both albums and songs. What may be regarded as perhaps its most successful full-length — at least when looking at commercial metrics — reaches an incredible milestone as it reappears. Metallica's self-titled album is a bestselling release again this week in the U.K. The decades-old set reappears on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart, landing at No. 37. As it returns, Metallica hits an incredible landmark figure. As of this frame, the full-length has spent 1,000 weeks as one of the top 40 bestselling rock releases in the country. Metallica is the first release by the band of the same name to reach a four-digit-stay count on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart. Only one other project by the group, Master of Puppets, has cracked triple digits, as it has thus far accrued 144 weeks on the tally. Metallica has even managed more weeks on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart than all of the band's other efforts combined. As the self-titled project reaches 1,000 weeks on the tally, it joins just three other projects that are currently present on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart that have accomplished the same showing. Nirvana's Nevermind leads the ranking with 1,453 stays. Guns N' Roses have kept Appetite for Destruction on the list for 1,222 periods, while Linkin Park's debut full-length Hybrid Theory recently joined this group, and is now up to 1,032 turns on the roster. Metallica only scores one hit album in the U.K. this week, but a pair of successful tunes help the band make itself heard. "Enter Sandman" returns to the top 10 on the Official Rock & Metal Singles chart, pushing from No. 13 to No. 7. The group doubles up on the tally, as "Nothing Else Matters" reappears in last place at No. 40.

The Summer Shoes To Wear, According To Your Horoscope
Which shoe trend to try this summer is a conundrum plenty of us at the ELLE UK office are navigating. 'Am I a boat or a mesh shoe wearer?', 'Would a wedge or flip flop heel be more "me"?' and, 'Do I dare don toe-separating shoes?' - these are just some of the questions we've been positing each other, largely in vain. To answer them, we're turning our attention from our navels to the stars. That's right, we're looking to our horoscopes to help inspire our summer 2025 footwear and we think you should too. While you should, of course, try any trend that speaks to you, why not take a steer on your purchases according to your zodiac sign? For the believers in the crowd what better tool to bring out your truly personal style? And for the non-believers, no harm, no foul. What better shoe style could you consider for the truly visionary Aquarians than some toe-separating shoes? This marmite style is really made for a star sign intent on forever leading the pack (think Harry Styles and Alicia Keys), plus, their ergonomic credentials make sense for such an intellectual and open-minded crew. We love Vibram's Fivefinger styles that look too cool with midi dresses and vest tops. As the most adaptable of the water signs it figures that Piscians should try a shoe meant for nautical pursuits, but enjoyed on terra firma's front row. Thanks to Piscians' creativity, they are likely style stars, the most famous being one of the world's best dressed, Rihanna. And we know the best dressed out there are wearing boat shoes aplenty. We're wearing our Miu Miu deck shoes with oversized denim and teeny, tiny shorts. Self-confident Aries women can pull off one of this season's trickiest trends: the heeled flip-flop. Pairing particularly well with the similarly divisive capris pant, the Y2K heels demand an ever present pedicure - ideal for the perfectionist Aries. The high street is thankfully awash with takes on the trend, and Zara have both brown and black iterations for an Aries to be a boss in. The adventurous and beauty-craving Taureans should consider bungee cord sandals. Reliable and comfort-focused is how you could describe both these strappy sandals and a Taurus woman - think Gigi Hadid. Miu Miu, of course, is the originator of this style, that work as well on the beach with board shorts and a T-shirt, as they do with a silk slip maxi dress. The multifaceted Gemini woman are nothing if not sneakerinas personified. Geminis should bring their adaptable, outgoing and flexible nature to their shoedrobe and try the hybrid style. Our favourite iterations of the ballet trainer hybrid have to be the Puma Speedcat ballet trainers and the Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 TGRS with mini dresses and cargo style trousers for maximum cuteness. Classic homebodies with a nurturing and traditional nature, Cancerians should be all about the clog for the summer of 2025 (and beyond). You can imagine one of our favourite Cancers, Pamela Anderson, pottering around her garden in some clogs, or even taking them front row too. With everyone from Prada to Penelope Chilvers selling a pair this season, the only question is if you wear with socks or without (we say both). Forever the lead character, Leos deserve nothing less than the glamorous wedge sandal. Recently repopularised by Chloé, there's something about wedge sandals that scream self-confidence and risk-taking - two of the Leo woman's strongest assets. You could dress down your wedge sandals with denim, but we think a Leo woman would go all out in Boho beauty. With the care and attention delicate, pretty, professional and classic ballet shoes need, there's no star sign better suited than Virgos. The perfectionism in Virgos (Beyoncé is a Virgo) will keep ballet flats polished, while their creative side will keep from styling them too primly with some vintage denim and a beat up Birkin. While Chanel ballets flats are, of course, the Holy Grail, we're partial to Mansur Gavriel's styles too. Known for their great sense of humour, Libras should try pair of cheeky and youthful jelly sandals. Jelly sandals' nostalgic vibe are perfect for Libras' charming and romantic nature, with just enough quirk to pull off this off-kilter style. We love Loeffler Randall's Ryhs design, which are bejewelled and look particularly adorable with ankle socks and a midi dress. Intense and magnetic Scorpios have no better footwear match then Tabi shoes. Be it in boot, ballet, Mary-Jane or loafer styles, the weird and wonderful split-toe Tabis offer the same level of mystery the Scorpio does herself. Margiela has the most iconic offerings, but Tabis styles exist outside of the label's realm. Try pairing with suiting for work to bring your witchy side to all parts of your life. If Miley Cyrus, Zoë Kravitz and Janelle Monáe - all famous Sagittarius women - were a shoe, they would likely be mesh flats. Beloved for their free-spirited and adventurous ethos, Sagittarians can handle the daring naked-but-not shoe trend. Best worn with floor-grazing trousers, Dear Frances and The Row have the mesh flats we've got on our wishlists. A Capricorn will take you places, as will a pair of perfectly sculpted skinny trainers. Supportive and realistic, this star sign is best represented by the reigning trainer style of this season - with one eye on style and the other on practicality. Skinny trainers are everywhere, with our favourite styles coming from Puma, Nike and Dries Van Noten. Pair with shorts for maximum get up and go.
