Upcoming Char Aznable Action Figure Came Here To Laugh At You
The upcoming S.H.Figuarts Char Aznable action figure from Bandai Spirits.
In a curious move, Bandai Spirits has announced a new upcoming Char Aznable action figure from Mobile Suit Gundam.
The reason why this is curious is that while shows like Kamen Rider and Ultraman get loads of action figures, characters from mecha anime tend not to get the same treatment.
I learned years ago from a representative at Bandai Spirits that when it came to mecha shows, people didn't tend to want figures of characters but more of the mecha themselves.
The reason for this is that the mecha in these shows act as cyphers for the characters, so buying a toy of the mecha they pilot is the equivalent of also buying an action figure of the character.
However, the big change now is that series like Mobile Suit Gundam have a much larger international market share compared to a decade ago.
As with other S.H.Figuarts releases, this figure will have a very wide range of articulation.

My guess is that this Char Aznable figure is meant more for the international market to see if character action figures from mecha anime can have more traction abroad.
Naturally, this Char Aznable action figure also ties neatly into the currently airing Gundam GQuuuuuuX anime, where he is featured as part of the backstory for the series.
Char Aznable is also arguably one of the most iconic characters from the Gundam saga, so it makes sense that Bandai Spirits would start here.
Admittedly, this is by no means the first mecha anime-related character action figure, but they are a rarity due to the reasons specified above, so this does stand out as a more strategic release from an international standpoint.
As with other S.H.Figuarts releases, the figure comes with all manner of gimmicks, from different facial expressions to the Newtype 'flash' effect.
This S.H.Figuarts Char Aznable action figure will be released this October and cost 9,900 yen (or around $71 at the current exchange rate).
As for the whole Char meme, admittedly, that is from Zeta Gundam, when Char called himself Quattro, but it still feels appropriate considering how snarky Char can be across the Gundam franchise.

Black Myth: Wukong's Xbox Release Date Is One Year After PS5's
Black Myth: Wukong The saga of Black Myth: Wukong's absence on Xbox is finally coming to an end as Game Science has announced the enormous hit is coming to the platform. And curiously, it is one year to the day after the game's release on PlayStation and PC on August 20, 2024. Wukong will now be released on Xbox on August 20, 2025. This caps off a long saga that I ended up tangled up in when I reported that a source with knowledge of the situation told me that Black Myth: Wukong had an exclusivity deal with Sony was keeping the game off Xbox, which was later confirmed by IGN and Windows Central. That eventually elicited a statement from Microsoft heavily implying that was indeed what was happening, and claims that their hardware (namely Xbox Series S) was responsible for the delay was not the case. The statement: Still, that eventually led Game Science to comment on the difficulty of porting the game to Series S, which many took as confirmation that was the reason for the delay after all, not a deal. But neither Sony nor Game Science, through all of this, denied that an exclusivity deal was in place. Even now, no exclusivity deal is now absolutely confirmed, nor will it ever be, publicly, most likely. But the fact that Wukong is releasing exactly a year after its PC/PlayStation-only release would certainly indicate that is likely the case. I stood by my source back then and I maintain that's why this is happening now. FEATURED | Frase ByForbes™ Unscramble The Anagram To Reveal The Phrase Pinpoint By Linkedin Guess The Category Queens By Linkedin Crown Each Region Crossclimb By Linkedin Unlock A Trivia Ladder Black Myth: Wukong I've seen it brought up that August 20 is a special date in general for Black Myth: Wukong. There is no official date for the birth of the Monkey King in legend, but August 20 has been mentioned in the past. It is the case that Game Science first debuted Wukong footage on August 20, 2022. Then they did a hands-on on August 20, 2023. Then there was the PlayStation release in 2024 and now Xbox in 2025. I don't take this as some sort of explanation. You could certainly say that Game Science picked the date on purpose due to its supposed relationship to Wukong lore. But if you did that and then say, made a year-long exclusivity deal, that would of course end on…August 20 of the following year. Multiple things can be true. It may really have been tough to develop Wukong for Microsoft's lower-spec Series S, but simultaneously, a deal could have been in place. However, five months ago, this was the director of Black Myth: Wukong on Weibo: "Several years" appears to have been exactly a year between platform releases and less than six months from when he said this. I trust what I was told, and here we are. Again, such a deal is unlikely to ever be confirmed publicly, but this is the date, one year after PlayStation's release. Jennifer Lopez just debuted a black pixie haircut – and the punk rock transformation has us shook
In a career that spans over three decades, Jennifer Lopez has yet to do anything by halves; I'm talking sales of over 55 million records worldwide, two Grammy award nominations, and many, many transformative fashion and beauty looks, to name a few outstanding accomplishments. Most recently, however, the singer-meets dancer-meets actor-meets business mogul (yep, she's a woman of many talents) has, arguably, topped said accomplishments by casually whipping up four different haircuts and styles in just under two minutes. Like I said, she's never one to do things by halves... Earlier this week [June 5, 2025], Jennifer shared the official teaser for Kiss Of The Spider Woman, an upcoming movie in which she stars, directed by Academy Award winner Bill Condon. In the trailer, JLo plays the character Ingrid Luna, who undergoes a number of haircuts, resulting in four shockingly good makeovers. The one that stands out? Why the dramatic black pixie cut (albeit a wig), of course! The punky, head-hugging cut and gothic raven colour couldn't be further from her trademark look. And IMO, it's giving JoJo Siwa's Karma look a run for its money... IYKYK. But if one transformation wasn't enough, why not indulge in three more of Ingrid/Jennifer's 'dos, including a very Marilyn Monroe bouncy blonde bob. She's a hair chameleon if we ever did see one!
