One of the most popular social hubs in Temple Bar in Dublin has been forced to close its doors for the final time. The Clockwork Door, an event space in the centre of Dublin for the past 9 years says it has seen the city change beyond recognition over that time. In a statement issued on social media, the owners of Clockwork Door said they are not closing for one reason, but for a thousand little reasons. The Clockwork Door. Their website described the hub as being 'a social space where you do you'. 'A comfortable living room where you can engage in many pursuits or none'. The venue had a café where you could enjoy a coffee, play one of their huge collection of board games, borrow a book from the well stocked library, try your hand at playing one of the many musical instruments in the place, and comfy couches to lounge on to soak up the atmosphere.
