Jordan Mendoza breaks down all the exciting matches to expect from Wrestlemania 41 in Las Vegas.
Another WrestleMania is fast approaching and WWE's iconic premium live event is returning to Las Vegas for the first time in more than 30 years.
What was initially dubbed the Super Bowl of pro wrestling, beginning with WrestleMania 1 in 1985, is now the centerpiece of the WWE calendar and a de facto industry convention given all the fans and legends that descend on the WrestleMania host city each year.
Allegiant Stadium, home to the Las Vegas Raiders, will be the site of WrestleMania 41 beginning on Saturday, April 19 and continuing through Sunday, April 20. It's a more conventional setting than WrestleMania 9, which was held in a stadium built in a converted parking lot at Caesars Palace. This will also be the latest date for the event in its history. The card's two main events are scheduled to feature Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins vs. CM Punk in a triple threat match on the first night and Cody Rhodes vs. John Cena for the WWE championship on the second night.
WRESTLEMANIA 41 PREDICTIONS: Who will be winners of every match in Las Vegas?
Madison Square Garden and Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois (formerly the Rosemont Horizon) have each hosted WrestleMania three times – the most of any venues. The largest crowd on a single night at WrestleMania occurred at WrestleMania 32 in 2016, according to WWE, when it announced a record 101,763 fans in attendance at AT&T Stadium in Arlington Texas. Allegiant Stadium's capacity is listed as 65,000 for football games.
Ahead of WrestleMania 41 this weekend, here's a breakdown of where every previous WrestleMania took place and a look ahead to what city and stadium will serve as host for next year's WrestleMania:

C.J. Gardner-Johnson: Texans have to learn to win when it matters

Safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson has made deep runs in the playoffs for two different teams the last three seasons and he broke through for his first Super Bowl title with the Eagles in February. Any thoughts of a repeat with Philly ended when Gardner-Johnson was traded to the Texans in March, but thoughts of a personal repeat have not gone away. Gardner-Johnson said 'it would be kind of amazing' to win a championship in Houston and said that he thinks part of the reason he's with the team is to teach them how to win in the most important moments of the year. 'I mean, you guys played a lot of good ball here, but I don't think they understand what it means to win when it matters,' Gardner-Johnson said, via Aaron Wilson of KPRC. 'I'm not talking discredit to the team. I'm just saying I've been in a lot situations where, from Detroit to New Orleans to Philly, I've got to win when it matters and I've been in games where I had to step up. For me, championships means more to me than just winning a football game right now because I'm getting older. I'm playing with a lot of younger guys who understand like, yeah, the money's here, but it's more on when you can win and get a championship, you know?' There's plenty of competition in the AFC, but the Texans are coming off two straight division titles and they've won playoff games each season. If Gardner-Johnson is able to propel them even further, he could have a chance to take down the Eagles in Santa Clara and that would likely make the success even sweeter.

WWE's 'The Miz' wants Browns to follow the Chiefs' rookie plan for Patrick Mahomes

WWE's 'The Miz' wants Browns to follow the Chiefs' rookie plan for Patrick Mahomes This week, Chiefs Wire's Ed Easton Jr. spoke to Mike 'The Miz' Mizanin about his participation in this year's American Century Championship, which will take place July 9-13 at Edgewood Tahoe, and his favorite team, the Cleveland Browns, whom he hopes will take a tip from the Kansas City Chiefs. "When I first saw what we (Cleveland Browns) did with the second pick, I wanted Travis Hunter; I think he's a generational talent. He's going to play offense-defense. The best football player in the draft is what you're hearing. And then when I saw what we got for that second pick, I was like, wow, we just got a haul. So right then and there. I said, You know what? These guys know exactly what they're doing," said Miz, "Now, do we have a huge quarterback room? Yes. But do we need a huge quarterback room? Yes, because we can never find a good quarterback who is our franchise player. So I think now is when we're going to have a little competition, like to be, you know, to go up against each other. And I'm excited to see what Shedeur (Sanders), Dillon Gabriel, Kenny Pickett, and Joe Flacco can do in that quarterback room. Hopefully, the young kids can learn from Flacco because he is a Super Bowl-winning quarterback, and I'm hoping that, you know, one of their college careers translates to the NFL." Miz mentioned Shedeur Sanders as his choice for the future franchise quarterback role. However, he wants Kansas City to utilize the process during Patrick Mahomes' rookie season. "I can sit here and say any name, and you never know until you get to the first game in the NFL and all the defensive packages are put into place, and you see how well they're able to look at the field and see the field and see where they need to go. So that's what I'm looking forward to. I look forward to seeing them get on the field and do something during a real NFL game. I'm not talking preseason, either. We can talk about the draft, rookie OTAs, regular OTAs, and the preseason. It all comes to fruition when the NFL season comes, and that's what I'm looking forward to," said Miz, "Hopefully, they'll be able to sit back and watch for a little while before they get in. I always think of what they did with Patrick Mahomes; Kansas City was the perfect situation for him. He got to sit a year learning from Alex Smith, and now he's one of the best quarterbacks ever to do it. So, hopefully, we'll be able to do the same thing." The annual tournament awards $750,000 in prize money, much of which the celebrity players donate to local and national charities. Over the years, nearly $8 million has been donated to non-profit causes. Network television exposure on NBC, along with a first-place prize of $150,000, makes the celebrity tournament one of the most prestigious in the golf world.

Eagles Remain Aligned on Post-Super Bowl Mindset

Eagles Remain Aligned on Post-Super Bowl Mindset originally appeared on Athlon Sports. There is a common theme from many of the Philadelphia Eagles' biggest stars this offseason. No one seems to care that they just won the Super Bowl. Advertisement Whether it was A.J. Brown's comments right before the parade, or Jalen Hurts ignoring comments made from the previous season, the Eagles are a team that seems hellbent on doing everything they can to reach the big game for a second straight year. And now some of their younger defensive players are getting in on that thought process. Nolan Smith, one of Philadelphia's first-round picks from the 2022 draft, is coming off a career year with the team where he recorded 6.5 sacks in the regular season and four in the playoffs. While a 24-year-old player could be excused for being focused on the numbers or joys of winning a Super Bowl, Smith couldn't be more different. Advertisement The Georgia edge rusher spoke at voluntary workouts this week with a clear mindset. The same one that the rest of the team has had for months. "Everyone is excited for the rings and all of that; I've been turning the page, especially after the parade,' said Smith. 'I got back to doing what I was doing because I know I had to rehab and gotta be stronger. I said last year, 'I gotta be bulletproof,' and that's what I'm going through every year. Build my armor going into this year.' It is clear that the entire Eagles roster is aligned on their post-victory mindset coming off one of the biggest blowouts in Super Bowl history. Time will tell if it means another chance at a championship, but it is clear the organization is ready to try and repeat.
