The Couple Next Door season two cast in full including Outnumbered star

Daily Mirror14-07-2025
The Couple Next Door is back for a second season with a whole new cast, featuring some very familiar faces
The hit drama The Couple Next Door is set to return to our screens with an entirely new cast following the resounding success of its first outing.
David Allison, the brains behind the show, has crafted a startlingly fresh narrative that will replace the characters from the debut series.

"The first series was about two couples that collided with each other - a square. Whereas this is more two love triangles... so the dynamic is really different," David explained to Radio Times as fans eagerly await the premiere of the second series on 14th July.

Although Eleanor Tomlinson and Sam Heughan were at the helm in the inaugural series, the upcoming season will see household names Hugh Dennis and Annabel Scholey stepping into the limelight.
For those curious about who's who in the latest season of The Couple Next Door, stay tuned for a full cast rundown...

The series welcomes Scholey as Charlotte, a top-tier consultant cardiothoracic surgeon. Annabel, familiar to audiences from her role in BBC's Being Human and the true crime series The Sixth Commandment, promises to deliver another stellar performance, reports the Express.
Sam Palladio joins as Jacob, playing Charlotte's husband and a consultant anaesthetist. Viewers will recognise him from his turn in ABC's musical sensation Nashville and roles in shows such as Humans.
The cast also features Aggy K. Adams from The Witcher as Mia, a fresh-faced nurse, while Never Have I Ever star Sendhil Ramamurthy will portray Leo, introducing a twist as Charlotte's old flame.

Outnumbered's Hugh Dennis reprises his role as Alan from the first series, while Hollyoaks ' Jeff Rawle steps into the shoes of Henry.
Adam James, who made waves in Vigil, is set to charm as Ben, and The Musketeers' Maimie McCoy will be captivating audiences as Gemma, with Barney White joining the fray as Brandon.
Jackie Clune takes on the character of Annette, with Janine Duvitski debuting as Gloria, and Tanya Moodie bringing Yvonne to life.

The official blurb for The Couple Next Door's second season teases: "Leo's return sparks a change in Charlotte and Mia seizes the opportunity to work her way into Jacob and Charlotte's confidence, their street, and eventually even their bed, befriending cul-de-sac outcast Alan (Dennis) along the way.
"But it's not long before Mia's past comes back to haunt her, leading Charlotte and Jacob to question who she really is, especially when patients at the hospital start mysteriously dying.
"One thing is clear - giving in to their desires could have deadly consequences."
The Couple Next Door is back for its second season on 14th July on Channel 4 at 9pm.
