Alex Warren, 24, showed his support for Sabrina Carpenter, 26, after the release of her latest single "Manchild" on Monday, June 10, by posting a Spotify link to her newly-released song. However, his seemingly kind gesture sparked apparent backlash from fans on social media.
The TikTok star-turned-musician, whose hit "Ordinary" is in its second week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, received mixed feelings from fans as Carpenter's latest single is challenging him for the top spot on next week's Billboard Hot 100.
Warren called out the negativity on X later that day, emphasizing his intentions with the Instagram Stories post and making clear his support of Carpenter despite competition on the music charts.
"Wait why is everyone so mean on here… music is music. I'm so blessed to be on the chart and I'm also so happy for all the wins in music," he began in the post. "Manchild is such a great record and I'm so honored to be mentioned in the same sentence as Sabrina."
Warren concluded, "Ordinary means so much to me and so many people and it's totally ok if it doesn't to you. I'm just happy to be here:)."
Users came to his defense, writing words of support under his post.
"Can we normalize not harassing artists for no reason at all?! Everyone works hard for their records," wrote one user.
"Twitter is not a nice place. IGNORE These trolls," commented another.
"Some of us are mature and normal enough to stream both songs and support u both! Thank you for being respectful and not spreading hate towards Sabrina or any other artist," penned a third.
Carpenter debuted "Manchild" on June 5 through Island Records, and the accompanying music video was released the following day.
In February 2025, Warren's "Ordinary" was released through Atlantic Records as the lead single from his upcoming debut studio album,You'll Be Alright, Kid.
Warren previously explained the meaning behind his song, "Ordinary," which he said was inspired by his wife, Kouvr Annon. The couple, who initially found fame as members of the content creation hub Hype House, wed in June 2024.
The same month "Ordinary" was released, Annon posted a TikTok in which she compiled clips of Warren performing. "When you watch the person you love do the thing they love most in the world," she wrote at the time.
She captioned the post, "I'm the worlds most proud musician wife."

I created my own funeral photo montage — so I know I'll be remembered at my hottest

What was meant to be a low-key night of snacks and laughs took an unexpectedly emotional turn for two best friends. Instead of their usual catch-up routine, Alexis arrived at Jasmine's home with a laptop and a surprise: a fully edited 24-minute funeral montage of herself, complete with dramatic music, touching tributes, and heartfelt messages. 'I made my funeral montage,' Alexis told People she said as she casually as she connected her computer to the TV. Jasmine was in shock. 'Girl, get this out of my house!' she said. The moment, captured in a now-viral TikTok video, resonated with thousands online. 'Having a morbid best friend who works in funeral and cemetery services is not for the weak,' Jasmine captioned the video. Alexis has spent over six years working in the funeral industry, and for her, confronting mortality isn't unusual. She says her Mexican-American background, which embraces death as a natural part of life, influenced her perspective. 'I've always been a little morbid and creepy,' she admits with a laugh. The idea for the montage stemmed from recent personal events. A motorcycle accident involving Jasmine's cousin left the family scrambling due to a lack of legal or end-of-life plans. 'He's a young man, so he had no will, he had no nothing,' Alexis said. 'That was one of the questions I was asking: does he have anything like a power of attorney? Who's making the decisions here?' Fortunately, he survived, but the incident made her realize how important it was to plan ahead and inspired her to take control of her own legacy. Alexis didn't stop at just the video. She's written her will, assigned power of attorney and even designated who will inherit her favorite Star Wars t-shirts. 'I'm really particular, and I don't trust anybody to do things the way that I want to do it,' she said. 'If this happens to me, you make sure I'm right. Don't have me looking all crazy with two different-shaped eyebrows. I got to have my nails done. I want a specific color of flowers.' Though Jasmine initially reacted with humor and disbelief, the montage soon had both women in tears. 'By pre-planning and getting your affairs in order and even doing stuff like this, you're unburdening your family from having to do this,' Alexis explained. 'I've been in this situation where I've had to put this together at the time of somebody's passing, and you're just miserable.' Going viral caught them by surprise. Jasmine originally shared it privately on Instagram, thinking it was just another funny moment between friends. But viewers were captivated by the blend of dark humor and genuine love between the two women. 'It just so happened to go viral,' Jasmine said. 'At the time, I wasn't thinking about that. But I was like, let me show all the people that follow me what this dummy's up to today. Because it's always something with her.' Some commenters expressed concern that Alexis was 'manifesting' her death, but both women dismiss that. 'Planning your funeral is no different from writing a will,' Jasmine said. 'It's not about expecting the worst. It's about being prepared.' For Alexis, laughter is a key part of her approach to life and death. 'I just want everyone to be miserable without me,' she joked. But she also wants them to smile and laugh, too. Her perspective has influenced Jasmine as well. 'I used to be super afraid of death. Like, don't even talk about it,' Jasmine admitted. 'But being friends with her, going through my own medical traumas and things, I've learned to cope with it through comedy, laughing, and accepting it. We all know we're going to pay taxes, and we're all going to die. None of us know when.' Their friendship, built on honesty, laughter and shared experience, has helped both women embrace difficult conversations and find joy in the unexpected. 'Nothing in life is ever that serious,' Alexis said. 'Even death.'

Lululemon's viral tote just dropped in a new colour — here's why shoppers are obsessed

If there's one thing fashion lovers, gym-goers and jet-setters can all agree on, it's that a good tote bag is hard to find. You want something that looks luxe but doesn't scream 'trendy for five minutes,' something big enough to hold your laptop, water bottle and snacks (yes, snacks are non-negotiable!), but not so oversized it looks like you're moving out. Oh, and bonus points if it doesn't cost as much as a month's rent. Enter Lululemon's Classic Knit Tote Bag 18L, the latest viral accessory that's quietly becoming the bag of the summer. TikTok can't stop talking about it. Reddit's raving. And shoppers everywhere are double-taking because, well, this sleek tote could 100 per cent be mistaken for something straight off the runway. However, here's the plot twist: it's under $200, made with durable fabric and designed to handle real life. Shop in three colours: Tidewater Teal/Lavender Frost/Chrome (pictured here), French Press/Sand Trap/Antique White and Grey Eucalyptus/Jade Grey/Peroxide. Looks aside, this bag seriously delivers when it comes to function. With an 18L capacity, it can easily fit your laptop, gym clothes, snacks, beauty pouch and probably even a small dog (not recommended, but theoretically possible). It also features multiple interior and exterior pockets to keep your essentials organized — no more digging around blindly for your lip balm or earbuds. And let's talk materials: the water-repellent knit fabric means a little rain or a spilled latte isn't going to ruin your day (or your tote). It's strong, structured and wipes clean easily, which is exactly what you want in a daily carryall. While there are no reviews on Lululemon for this tote quite yet (it's brand new), the bag is certainly having its moment on TikTok. One shopper said, "the strap quality is sturdy," and another raved that it's 'literally so cute!' The smaller version of the bestselling tote is also roomy enough for everyday essentials. At $168, the Classic Knit Tote Bag 18L is definitely an investment, but compared to similar styles from luxury brands, it's a steal. It brings a high-end look to any outfit without the high-maintenance feel. If you're into bags that look expensive, work hard and effortlessly elevate every outfit, this one's worth the hype. Shop it while you can because something tells us this one won't stay in stock for long.

Nara Smith On Why She's Okay With 4 Kids At A Young Age

I'm sure you've heard of model and influencer Nara Smith. The social media star has over 11 million followers on TikTok, and she's known for slice of life, aka "tradwife" content, with her seductive ASMR voiceovers. Nara, who's currently 23 years old, is expecting her fourth child with model and influencer Lucky Blue Smith, 27, and she's online defending her choice to have so many kids at her age. In a June 11 GRWM video, Nara answered a few Q&A questions from her followers, one in particular addressing why she and Lucky chose to have so many kids. "No, I'm not having this many kids because I'm Mormon," Nara explained. "I'm not Mormon. I just always wanted to be a young mom and do everything while I was really young. And I think that's just a personal preference for me." Nara married Lucky when she was only 20 years old, but explained that how she lived in her teens prepared her for her life as a mother at her current age. "I did a lot of the things that people in their 20s do when I was a teenager," Nara said. "So now, I felt like I was ready to start a new chapter and do other things, which is being a mom. And I love being a mom and making that choice." Nara and Lucky have three children: Rumble Honey, 4, Slim Easy, 3, and Whimsy Lou, 14 months, and now they're expecting another. In the video, Nara explained that she and Lucky didn't plan on having another kid after Whimsy Lou. "This was a surprise baby," she said. Nara said she was six months pregnant (noting that she used movie magic to conceal her tummy in her recent content) and shared why she waited to share the news. "I waited to share for as long as I feel like I could because I knew that people were going to have all kinds of opinions. And me personally, I had to get used to the idea as well of having another kid since I'm mentally prepped to be done after Whimsy." Having multiple children before her 24th birthday works for Nara and her husband because they've got the "tag-teaming" down pat. "Lucky and I are really good at tag-teaming," she said. "We tag-team and really figure out our work schedules and what we have to do. And then the other person takes care of the kids. Then when we're lucky, family come and help out when we're both traveling or when it's too much, and the workload is piling up. So, we're kind of managing it like that." "No, I don't have a nanny. No I don't have a whole team helping me. It's just me, my husband and any family that's available to help," she continued. Nara added that she's "excited" and that they know the gender but won't announce it until the baby is born. Like the three children before, she plans to have an at-home birth. "All in all, this has been my easiest pregnancy so far. So adjusting this time around has been so much easier for me." In my opinion, having four kids under 5 years old before you're even 24 is a flex because I can't even take care of two succulents for a month, and I'm twice her age. Congratulations to Nara and Lucky!
