WWE RAW: 10-Bell Salute To Hulk Hogan And Jey Uso Tops Bronson Reed In Chaotic Main Event

Last Updated: Here are the major highlights from the latest episode of Monday Night RAW. In the latest offering of Monday Night RAW, held at the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit before the SummerSlam, WWE fans joined in for an emotional tribute to the legendary Hulk Hogan, a main event bout between Jey Uso and Bronson Reed and other captivating tussles in the ring. Here's how this episode of WWE Raw panned out. Hulk Hogan Tribute, Nick Hogan Standing Ovation A packed audience at the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit paid a fitting tribute to the WWE legend Hulk Hogan, who died last week at the age of 71 following a cardiac arrest. The legendary wrestler, renowned for his flamboyant appearance and imposing physique, enjoyed a massive following and stardom in the 80s and 90s. The WWE invited Hogan's son Nick Hogan to the stage, with fans offering a standing ovation to his late father and their favourite WWE great. A 10-bell salute was provided to Hogan at the beginning of the show as a mark of gratitude from everyone. Main Event: Jey Uso vs Bronson Reed; Roman Reigns Arrive The main event clash for this week's Monday Night Raw saw Jey Uso and Bronson Reed stand at loggerheads. The two wrestlers gave each other a hard time in an intense battle, featuring heavy moves that certainly took a toll on them. However, Uso eventually came out on top thanks to a disqualification following an interruption from Bron Breakker, who tried to spear Uso and support his longstanding ring partner. Moments later, Roman Reigns arrived and attempted a late save. But Breakker and Reed put the Reigns-Uso duo down with a double spear in chaotic scenes. Eight-Woman Tag Team Match Rhea Ripley, Iyo Sky, Stephanie Vaquer and Nikki Bella combined against Naomi, Chelsea Green, Piper Niven and Alba Fyre in a rare Eight-Team Tag Team face-off where fortunes shifted back and forth after Nikki Bella took a beating to start before she joined hands with Iyo Sky to execute Iyo's signature taunt. Both of them were later taken down by Piper Niven. Ultimately, however, Vaquer won the exciting match after hitting an SVB on Chelsea Green for the decisive moment. AJ Styles and Kabuki Warriors vs Judgement Day In a mixed tag team match, Aj Styles, Asuka and Kairi Sane took on Dominik Mysterio, Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez. The match captured the fans' imagination with the two teams refusing to give up ground. But in the dying moments, Styles executed a Phenomenal Forearm for her team's victory, having launched Kairi Sane into Rodriguez. Sheamus defeated Grayson Waller despite having to encounter a sudden interference from Rusev, who wasn't the one to take the result lightly, as he persisted with attacking Sheamus after teaming up with Shillelagh. Rusev rained on Sheamus' moment of triumph and set up what many are anticipating to be a 'Shillelagh on a Pole" match. view comments First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. "Don't Deserve To Call Myself Best In The World, I Earned The Right": CM Punk To Gunther

Setting the stage for the World Heavyweight Championship battle in the upcoming Summerslam, CM Punk and Gunther came face to face in the ring, though only for a verbal confrontation. Punk, who hopes to take the World Heavyweight Championship off Gunther's hands, looked to assert his dominance with words, as the veteran highlighted his exemplary resume as a performer in the WWE universe over the years. Punk called himself 'arrogant' but also said that he has earned the right to showcase such a reputation, having beaten Hall of Famers and legends since he started performing in the WWE. It was Gunther who opened the segment, saying he was victorious last Monday because he left CM Punk speechless. Punk, however, was in no mood to remain silent. "I'll give it to you. You are correct. I don't deserve to call myself the best in the world. I earned the right to call myself the best in the world. And I've earned the right to call myself the best in the world and be arrogant about it. But you are out here as world heavyweight champion being as arrogant as me, but you can't back it up," Punk told Gunther on Monday's WWE Raw. "I have left a trail of bodies, a hall of famers, legends, and superstars that you've only dreamed to be in the ring with. And when you compare your career, as great as it's been so far, with my career, this isn't apples to apples," he further said. "I don't deserve to call myself the Best In The World, I EARNED the right to call myself the Best In The World!" - CM Punk #WWERAW — The Movement - Pro Wrestling (@TheMovementXx) July 29, 2025 Gunther looked to stop Punk from continuing his rant, but it was the World Heavyweight champion who was made silent as the latter put a hand on his mic. "You know what, I have enough of this. Shut the...," Gunther said as Punk came back "I wasn't finished." "There's levels to this, kid. And you're going to find out a hard lesson at the Summerslam on Saturday. You are not on my level," Punk said. "For as great as you are, Saturday night, I'm leaving World Heavyweight Champion. But hey, at least you'll be able to share a ring and finally feel what it's like to be in the ring with the one, the only best in the world, CM Punk," the verbal duel concluded.
