First look at Drake Maye connecting with Stefon Diggs for touchdown
Multiple players on offense, including Maye and Diggs, linked up ahead of training camp to work out together. The team is determined to get the offense back on track, and they are doubling down on the work outside of the building, given the many new additions to the roster.
Diggs, a former four-time Pro Bowler, was present at mandatory minicamp, but he didn't participate in the competitive 11-on-11 team periods. He is still working his way through the torn ACL injury he suffered during his time with the Houston Texans last year.
So far, he looks to be ahead of schedule in his recovery, and there's hope that he might even be healed enough to participate in training camp. Diggs and Maye teased their connection on social media with the duo linking up for a touchdown pass in a video clip from the workout, via griffinz_23's Instagram story.
The extra work is a sign that the key players on the roster are taking on the responsibility of preparing to the best of their ability. They aren't just looking to show up at training camp and see how everything fits.
It's a proactive group that could hold the keys to success for the organization as a whole.

Jalen Williams responds back to social media haters who call him 'corny'
Growing up a Kobe Bryant fan, Jalen Williams recently paid homage to his basketball hero. Playing an entire playoff run with an injured wrist, the 24-year-old helped lead the Oklahoma City Thunder to their first NBA championship. When you win the Larry O'Brien trophy, you've earned all the bragging rights. Williams has taken advantage of that benefit. He's flexed the championship after being widely questioned on whether he was a good enough second-best player on a title contender. Williams took to social media to share a side-by-side photo of himself and Bryant. Both wore pajamas at the free-throw line to attempt a one-handed shot. The other hand was wrapped in a cast after surgery. As is the case for most social media posts with a social-media-savvy NBA star, there were some criticisms from fan accounts. The buzzword used in Williams' reply was "corny" as he compared himself to Bryant. The Los Angeles Lakers legend has quite a vocal fanbase. That's what happens when you win five rings on the NBA's marquee franchise. The 23-year-old received criticism for being a copycat. Of course, none of it matters in real life. What these anonymous accounts say online rarely reflects Williams' reality. He replied to an Instagram comment to show that. An account said they felt bad that the 24-year-old was flamed on social media for showing love to his favorite player of all time. He's never been shy about his fandom of Bryant since he arrived in the NBA. "tbh the same people calling me corny couldn't hold my water in real life, prolly would ask for a selfie if we was face to face," Williams wrote. That's probably a good way to view it if you're Williams. It comes with the territory of being one of the NBA's best players and recently winning an NBA championship. There will always be a section of fans who villainize him, even if they need to resort to off-court qualities like his personality or how he carries himself online. All you can do is shrug your shoulders and move on. The Thunder have dealt with what every NBA superteam has dealt with since the league was created. The only difference between now and the beginning is that social media platforms allow critics' voices to be louder.

Patriots' Stefon Diggs chasing around dog he almost lost is funniest thing you'll see today
The post Patriots' Stefon Diggs chasing around dog he almost lost is funniest thing you'll see today appeared first on ClutchPoints. Things did not start smoothly for New England Patriots receiver Stefon Diggs on the first day of training camp, which happened to be Puppy Adoption Day, as he spent a portion of it chasing his dog. A video was posted by Patriots on CLNS on X, formerly Twitter. Diggs walked in proudly with his dog before putting them on the ground. The dog took off, and Diggs had to chase it down. Luckily, he was successful in chasing down the puppy. Diggs saved the moment from turning disastrous. Hopefully, he learned from the experience, and this is the last time he lets the puppy off their leash. Stefon Diggs' first training camp with the Patriots Diggs is just starting his first training camp with the Patriots. He spent the 2024 season with the Houston Texans, during which he only played in eight games. His season was cut short in Week 8 against the Indianapolis Colts. Diggs suffered a non-contact knee injury, which was later revealed to be a torn ACL. His season ended with a career-low 47 catches for 496 yards. He only caught three touchdowns — his lowest since 2016. This is already Diggs' 11th season in the NFL. He spent his first five seasons with the Minnesota Vikings before being traded to the Buffalo Bills during the 2020 offseason. Diggs would spend the next four years of his career with the Bills. He had his best seasons with them, logging over 1,000 yards in all four seasons, including a career-high 1,535 yards in 2020. After being traded to the Texans, he spent one season with them. He then signed a three-year contract with the Patriots during the 2025 offseason. Hopefully, he is able to stay healthy for the whole season. Throughout his career, Diggs has been a four-time Pro Bowler (2020-24), and he was named to two All-Pro teams (one First-team, one Second-team). In 2020, he led the league in yards (1,535) and catches (127). Austin FC's Brandon Vázquez Tears Right ACL, Hampering World Cup Chances
Austin FC forward Brandon Vazquez tore his right ACL, an injury that will hamper his chances of making the U.S. roster for next year's World Cup. The 26-year-old was hurt during Tuesday night's US Open Cup quarterfinal against San Jose. Austin said Thursday he will have season-ending surgery. Vázquez fell without contact in the 69th minute, four minutes after converting a penalty kick that tied the score 1-1. He was removed from the field on a stretcher. An MLS All-Star, Vázquez joined Austin from Monterrey in January and leads the team with nine goals in all competitions this season. He has four goals in 11 appearances for the U.S. but was not on the CONCACAF Gold Cup roster. Austin won 4-2 on penalty kicks after a 2-2 draw and plays Minnesota on Sept. 16.
