New on Apple TV Plus in July 2025 — all the shows and movies to watch
This coming month will see the addition of several high-profile titles to Apple TV Plus's already sprawling streaming library, including the third season of ambitious sci-fi saga "Foundation," documentary adventure series "The Wild Ones," and the first Peanuts musical in more than three decades.
Elsewhere, you've got the fourth and final installment of the hit bilingual comedy series "Acapulco," which closes out the rags-to-riches story of Maximo (Eugenio Derbez) as he returns to Las Colinas to restore it to its former glory before the grand reopening.

Entering its third season this July, "Foundation" is based on the award-winning novels by Isaac Asimov, a sci-fi epic that chronicles a band of exiles on their monumental journey to save humanity and rebuild civilization and the fall of the Galactic Empire.
Led by Emmy-nominated actors Jared Harris, Lee Pace, and star Lou Llobell, the 10-episode new season will pick up 152 years after the events of season 2. Apple's official synopsis reads: "The Foundation has become increasingly established far beyond its humble beginnings while the Cleonic Dynasty's Empire has dwindled.
"As both of these galactic powers forge an uneasy alliance, a threat to the entire galaxy appears in the fearsome form of a warlord known as 'The Mule' whose sights are set on ruling the universe by use of physical and military force, as well as mind control. It's anyone's guess who will win, who will lose, who will live and who will die as Hari Seldon, Gaal Dornick, the Cleons and Demerzel play a potentially deadly game of intergalactic chess."

This six-part adventure docuseries sees a dedicated trio of wildlife filmmakers — including expedition leader Aldo Kane, wildlife and camera trap expert Declan Burley and wildlife cinematographer Vianet Djenguet — travel through the world's most remote and unforgiving environments to track and protect critically endangered animals from extinction.
All six episodes will premiere globally in one fell swoop, with each installment featuring crafty camerawork and survival skills as the team races to locate, record and protect these elusive creatures before it's too late.

It's been more than 30 years since audiences have been charmed by a Peanuts musical special, and luckily that wait will end this July with "Snoopy Presents: A Summer Musical," a 40-minute streaming event "about the joy and magic of summer camp and the importance of preserving what you love," per the streamer.
"Charlie Brown loves camp and is determined to make his final year special, but Sally, a first-time camper, is nervous and skeptical of the new and unfamiliar place," reads the special's official description. "While everyone settles into camp, Snoopy and Woodstock discover a treasure map that takes them on a wild adventure nearby."
Along with the return of those beloved Peanuts characters, the new musical will feature original songs by Emmy Award nominees Jeff Morrow and Ben Folds.

"In 1984, Maximo Gallardo's dream comes true when he gets the job of a lifetime at Acapulco's hottest resort, Las Colinas, but he soon realizes that working there will be far more complicated than he ever imagined" reads the series descriptor of the acclaimed Apple TV Plus comedy "Acapulco," which will debut the fourth and final chapter on the streamer this July.
Led by Emmy and SAG Award-winning star and executive producer Eugenio Derbez, season 4 will see present-day Máximo (Derbez) work tirelessly to restore Las Colinas to its former glory before the grand reopening. Back in 1986, however, young Máximo (Enrique Arrizon) will do whatever it takes to get back on top and secure Las Colinas's future when a competitor claims the number one spot in the annual ranking of the destination's best hotels.

One of the year's best-reviewed movies is now streaming — and it's 96% on Rotten Tomatoes
I'm not usually one to let review scores sway me. As a critic myself, I like to watch movies on my own terms before seeing what other people think. However, a near-perfect rating on Rotten Tomatoes is hard to ignore, so when I heard 'Sorry, Baby' had pulled such an impressive rating, it shot pretty quickly up my list of 'must-watch movies.' While its theatrical release last month didn't come to a cinema near me, the good news is the comedy-drama has just made its streaming bow, landing on PVOD platforms including Amazon and Apple earlier this week. If, like me, you're always intrigued when a movie pulls an impressively high percentage score on the popular review aggregate site, here's all the details you need to know about 'Sorry, Baby.' Agnes (Eva Victor) is a professor at an arts college in New England, living alone with her cat. But while everyday life has gone on for everybody else, Agnes' life has been radically changed by a past trauma. And the effects of that "bad thing" in her past continue to impact her outlook to this very day. When a close friend (Naomi Ackie) arrives with good news to share, Agnes begins to realize that she's been stuck for the last three years and needs to find a way to move forward with her life. The movie currently holds a very strong 96% score on Rotten Tomatoes, from 130 reviews total, and has earned a 'Certified Fresh' seal. 'Carrying off difficult subject matter with a light touch and wry sense of humor, Sorry, Baby triumphantly announces writer-director and star Eva Victor as a formidable talent, reads Rotten Tomatoes' 'Critics Consensus.' Ann Hornady of the Washington Post labeled the movie 'Tough, tender and observational.' Meanwhile, Katie Walsh of the Los Angeles Times was also impressive, calling the movie 'an utterly captivating, entirely unique cinematic presence.' 'The manner in which Victor presents this narrative, with such verve and confidence and tenderness and pitch-black humor, defies easy description. It's simply an amazing display of someone knowing how to get their voice and vision across,' said David Fear of Rolling Stone. New York Times' Manohla David praised 'Sorry, Baby' for accurately portraying the ups and downs of life itself: 'The movie has moments that can make you wince, but it's often wryly and tartly funny because life is absurd and complicated, and people are, too.' It's not just critics raving about Eva Victor's directorial debut either. On Rotten Tomatoes, the movie holds a strong 83% score on its Popcornmeter (the site's name for its viewers' score). With so much glowing praise, 'Sorry, Baby' looks like a movie you'll want to consider watching this week if you're after something of seriously high quality. And it could even be a potential awards player next year, so watching now might just put you ahead in your Oscar pool. While it's initial arrival on premium platforms, rather than one of the best streaming services, does mean that watching will require you to cough up a rental fee (or buy it outright), based on everything I've read, and the admittedly excellent trailer, I'm convinced it'll be worth it, and I'm looking forward to watching it myself later this week. Mike Colter has reunited with some of his Evil colleagues. Colter will star in Cupertino, a legal drama based in Silicon Valley that hails from Evil's Robert and Michelle King, TVLine has confirmed. Titled after the city that houses Apple's headquarters, Cupertino is described as a 'David vs. Goliath legal show' set in the San Francisco Bay Area's high-tech hub. Dream Roles for Stars of Cancelled Shows View List Colter will play a lawyer fired by a Silicon Valley start-up intending to cheat him out of his stock options. 'Refusing to back down,' the official character description reads, 'he joins forces with another recently fired attorney to represent those taken advantage of by the tech elite, and help them fight back in a high-stakes battle against the Goliaths controlling Silicon Valley.' Fans of the Kings will remember that they also created legal dramas The Good Wife and The Good Fight; Colter appeared on both as Chicago drug lord Lemond Bishop. The Kings are writing Cupertino's pilot script and will executive-produce. Liz Glotzer is also on board as an additional EP. The series is currently slated to make its debut on CBS during the 2026-27 TV season, along with the delayed Einstein. In addition to playing Evil's beleaguered priest David for four seasons, Colter's TV work includes Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, The Defenders, The Following, American Horror Story and Ringer.
