Palak Tiwari
, daughter of television actor Shweta Tiwari and an emerging face in Bollywood, recently opened up about a highly personal experience involving online stalking. While promoting her upcoming film The Bhootnii, she spoke to Zoom about what she described as one of the 'most sane' things she has done, referring to a time when she went to great lengths to track down a man she found attractive—without even knowing his name.

She revealed that the story began when she spotted someone she thought was 'so cute' but had no details about him—not even a name. The only clue came when she saw a random Instagram story where the person appeared but was not tagged. Determined to find out who he was, she admitted to scrolling through all 2,000 accounts that the story's poster followed. 'You best believe I scrolled through all 2,000 names to find his name and username. I sent it to my friend. This was just for me… I wouldn't have done it for anyone else. But yes, it did work out—until it didn't.'
Protecting Her Personal Life
Despite the anecdote going viral, Palak kept the man's identity private and maintained her stance on protecting her personal life. She has been in the news previously due to her rumored relationship with Ibrahim Ali Khan, son of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh. However, both have repeatedly said they are just friends. Public speculation grew when the two were seen together on several occasions, including meals and what appeared to be shared vacation backgrounds.
In an earlier interview with Filmfare, Palak discussed her views on public scrutiny of her romantic life. 'At this stage of my career, I don't want my romantic life to be a topic of conversation when I'm trying to make a name for myself. That just reduces you to a headline.' She further added, 'Also, I don't like people's opinions about something I feel strongly about. If I'm in a relationship, I obviously feel strongly about it. I wouldn't want people commenting on it, and I wouldn't want to read those opinions. That's why I'd keep it private.'
From Music Videos to Feature Films
Palak began her entertainment career with music videos, gaining early recognition for her appearance in Hardy Sandhu's hit song Bijlee Bijlee. Her acting debut came in 2023 with Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, where she starred alongside Salman Khan, Pooja Hegde, Shehnaaz Gill, Siddharth Nigam, and others. Despite high expectations, the film did not fare well at the box office.
She is now preparing for her next release, The Bhootnii, a horror-comedy directed by Sidhaant Sachdev. The film, which also stars Sanjay Dutt, Sunny Singh, Mouni Roy, Aasif Khan, and Navneet Malik, is scheduled to release on May 1, 2025. It is set to clash with Ajay Devgn's Raid 2 at the box office.
