Redfern: Woman fighting for life after alleged domestic violence assault
The 47-year-old woman was rushed to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital after she was allegedly assaulted inside a Redfern unit just after 4.30pm on Saturday, NSW Police said.

Emergency services were called to the Morehead Street block following reports of an alleged assault and the woman was found with head injuries.
She was treated by paramedics and a doctor before being rushed to hospital in a critical condition.
The woman remains in a critical condition as of Sunday morning.

A 30-year-old man, who police say is known to the woman, was arrested and taken to Mascot Police Station.
He has since been charged with cause grievous bodily harm to person with intent (domestic violence). The man was refused bail and is due to appear in Parramatta Local Court on Sunday.
Police say the man and woman were known to one another.

Man dead after another Sydney shooting, Homicide Squad sets up crime scene
A man is dead after being shot in Sydney's west on Tuesday night. Emergency services rushed to the scene on Regiment Grove, Winston Hills, about 7pm after reports of gunshots. Witnesses have told police a man was shot while getting into his car. He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics but died after being transported to hospital. The man has not yet been formally identified by detectives and the Homicide Squad has set up a crime scene in the area. It is the second fatal shooting to rock Sydney in less than a week after 39-year-old Gilbert Shino was gunned down in Forest Lodge on Sunday night.

Man who was shot inside a car in Winston Hills dies after being taken to hospital as investigations begin
A man has been shot dead while sitting in his car in western Sydney. NSW Police and ambulance rushed to the scene on Regiment Grove in Winston Hills after a gunman took aim about 7pm on Tuesday. Officers were told the man had been shot in the chest while inside a car. He was treated by paramedics at the scene before being rushed to a nearby hospital, before he died. A large number of NSW Police have set up a crime scene and cordoned off the area with detectives from the State Crime Command's Homicide squad commencing a formal investigation into the crime. The man is yet to be formally identified. It is unclear also the identity of the shooter or if they have been reprimanded.
