Meghan Markle's photographer says pair have had a 'wild journey' together - and insists the duchess isn't afraid of getting 'her hands dirty'
Toronto-born Jake Rosenberg, who has enjoyed a close friendship with the Duchess of Sussex, 43, for over a decade, worked with the Montecito-based mother-of-two for the recent launch of her lifestyle brand, photographing images for As Ever's website.
It's a job that Jake not only found straightforward due to Meghan's creative abilities but one he held close to his heart because the work feels like 'two friends hanging out,' he told People.
In conversation with the outlet, Jake explained that, when working with Meghan, it feels like a straightforward process without external forces fighting to input their ideas, saying, 'It's just a really nice moment for us to have together to capture authentic, genuine moments.'
Jake, who attended Meghan's royal wedding in 2018 and entered the venue alongside Oprah Winfrey, listed a time he worked with Meghan and her daughter Lilibet, three, for the As Ever homepage, as one of those natural, genuine moments which he captured.
While the photographs often come out shining, Jake explained that it's the direct result of hard work and that the duchess isn't afraid of getting 'her hands dirty' to produce the images.
Jake added that it's been a 'wild journey' for the pair to get to where they are today, adding that her latest business venture feels like Meghan is 'getting back to her roots', which, for Jake, 'feels like the good old days'.
The photographer revealed his closeness with Meghan once again last week after posting a selfie of them together with the caption, 'Always a beautiful day shooting with @Meghan @AsEverOfficial'.
Elsewhere, when the mother-of-two launched her Instagram account at the start of 2025, Jake shared a photo of the duchess to 'welcome' her back on the platform after a six-year hiatus.
He said at the time: 'Always love capturing these moments together - What a way to start the year!'.
Following the sell-out As Ever launch, Meghan and Prince Harry whisked their children away on a celebratory Spring holiday.
The Duchess of Sussex celebrated her recent business ventures - including her Netflix cookery show, launch of her As Ever products and recent podcast - with a family trip away.
According to People Magazine, the family has enjoyed a 'sunsoaked getaway' with Archie, five, and Lilibet, three - though the exact destination was not confirmed.
Insiders also told the outlet that the couple's two children are the 'centre of their happy bubble' back at home in Montecito in California.
'The kids are adorable. They're incredibly smart, articulate, and fun,' the source told the outlet.
Elsewhere in the magazine cover, which hits shelves on April 28, insiders close to Prince Harry said his rift with the Royal Family is deepening – claiming he was left in the dark about his father King Charles's cancer battle.
The Duke of Sussex's calls to family members, including his elder brother Prince William, are also ignored, the reports suggested.
People magazine in the US quotes sources close to Harry as describing the ongoing 'strained' relationship with his father five years after the Duke and his wife Meghan Markle quit frontline royal duties and moved to California.
The Pro-Sussex magazine has increasingly been given access to the couple over recent months, with Meghan even giving an interview ahead of the launch of With Love, Meghan in March - where she declared she wasn't 'an influencer'.
Palace insiders were also quoted on the estrangement since so-called 'Megxit' in 2020 – with the last face-to-face encounter between Charles and Harry being a 30-minute meeting in February last year.
Elsewhere, sources close to the Duke have told of his calls and letters to relatives being left unanswered.
And he is said to have only known his father the King was recently admitted to hospital on March 27 through media reports rather than being told directly.
Harry spent some time in the UK earlier this month, attending a hearing at London 's High Court in his continuing battle over financing personal protection officers.
His legal team is arguing that he, Meghan, and their two children, are not safe to come to Britain.
Meghan has been increasingly showing her children on social media as she launches her various business endeavours.
However, it has been suggested that Meghan and Harry have different views about sharing their two children on social media.
On a recent episode of Hello! magazine's Right Royal podcast, Matt Wilkinson, the royal editor of The Sun, said Harry took a much more cautious approach to posting their children online.
'My understanding of this is that, up to a certain stage, Harry would much rather his children were not seen,' Matt said.
He added: 'Whereas Meghan grew up in California, she once said she would like to have a more California style lifestyle, take them down the beach, go out, do stuff. She doesn't want to hide them away.'
He noted that the Duchess does not share her children's faces in images and videos she posts - something the panel said Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie also do when it comes to images of their children.
For example, one of her posts, shared several days before the launch of her Netflix show, showed Meghan and her three-year-old daughter joined by 'Auntie' Serena Williams, with the trio playing a game of Candy Land.
Another video the Duchess shared featured Archie's voice, as he helped her to water some plants.
Elsewhere in the court case, Harry's barrister claimed the prince must have his full taxpayer-funded bodyguards restored when in the UK because his 'life is at stake'.
The prince says he was 'singled out' for 'inferior treatment' when the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures (Ravec) stripped him of his top-level security in February 2020 after he moved out of the UK.
But Sir James Eadie KC, representing the Home Office, said it had discretion to strip his guaranteed full time police security without consulting the Risk Management Board quango.
People magazine suggested insiders close to the Duke feel Charles is intentionally staying distant – partly to avoid being embroiled in questions over security.
After this month's hearing, Harry left the UK secretly and without informing Buckingham Palace early last Thursday.
He was then understood to have landed at an unnamed airport in Poland ahead of a surprise visit to Ukraine.
He was given a police escort to and from the Polish border and former Ukrainian military personnel accompanied him to the Superhumans rehabilitation centre in Lviv where he met adults and children who have been injured since war broke out in 2022.
His visit came after last month.

Harry and Meghan renew Netflix deal with first look partnership
Five years ago, Harry and Meghan secured a lucrative contract, thought to be worth more than 100 million dollars (£74 million) with the streaming giant after quitting as senior working royals in 2020. The first-look deal, which means Netflix will have the first option on Harry and Meghan's projects, was described by the Sussexes as 'extending their creative partnership'. But PR and crisis expert Mark Borkowski described it as a 'downgrade', and suggested Netflix was 'pivoting away' from Harry and Meghan. Mr Borkowski told the PA news agency the deal was a long way from the jackpot figure of their original contract. 'I think Netflix has done a very neat job of pivoting away from two very expensive people who didn't deliver, and they've taken that deal off the table, and they've given them a modest one,' he said. 'It's not like they're gradually uncoupling. It's a downgrade. Netflix are not going to expose themselves to those budgets again and it's Netflix saying 'Well, look, let's have a look at your content, but we'll pick and choose, mate'.' Mr Borkowski suggested the Sussexes would now be on a pay as you go deal, where they are paid for productions as and when they are selected by Netflix, rather than receiving an overall amount. 'I would be surprised if it's not pay as you go and it's well, well below that first mark (of an estimated 100 million dollars),' Mr Borkoski said. A representative for the Sussexes declined to comment on the financial arrangements of the deal. Meghan said: 'We're proud to extend our partnership with Netflix and expand our work together to include the As Ever brand. 'My husband and I feel inspired by our partners who work closely with us and our Archewell Productions team to create thoughtful content across genres that resonates globally and celebrates our shared vision.' Their new output will include a 'fun and heartwarming' second season of the duchess's With Love Meghan lifestyle show later this month, as well as a 'magical holiday celebration' Christmas special in December. Archewell Productions is also working on Masaka Kids, A Rhythm Within – a documentary about orphaned children in Uganda's Masaka region, where the 'shadows of the HIV/Aids crisis linger'. This comes after Harry stepped down from Sentebale, the charity he founded to help children orphaned by Aids in Lesotho, following a boardroom battle with the chairwoman. The duke, who is considering starting a new humanitarian charity, has vowed to continue his commitment to supporting youngsters in the region. The documentary will focus on 'the heart of Uganda's Masaka region, where the shadows of the HIV/Aids crisis linger, a small orphanage becomes a beacon of hope'. Netflix said: 'Masaka Kids, A Rhythm Within goes beyond the viral videos to reveal a vibrant, one-of-a-kind community where orphaned children transform hardship into joy, dancing their way toward healing, belonging and the promise of a brighter future.' There is also 'active development' on other projects with Netflix, which 'span a variety of content genres', including a feature adaptation of the bestselling romantic novel by Carley Fortune, Meet Me At The Lake. The Sussexes' most successful series has been Harry & Meghan – their controversial tell-all 2022 documentary about stepping back from royal duties and their struggles with the royal family. It totalled 23.4 million views and is Netflix's fifth most popular documentary series of all time. Harry & Meghan. Volume II: 15 December. Only on Netflix. — Netflix UK & Ireland (@NetflixUK) December 14, 2022 Bela Bajaria, Netflix's chief content officer, said: 'Harry and Meghan are influential voices whose stories resonate with audiences everywhere. 'The response to their work speaks for itself — Harry & Meghan gave viewers an intimate look into their lives and quickly became one of our most-watched documentary series. 'More recently, fans have been inspired by With Love, Meghan, with products from the new As Ever line consistently selling out in record time. 'We're excited to continue our partnership with Archewell Productions and to entertain our members together.' Love is in the details. ✨ With Love, Meghan, a new series, premieres January 15. — Netflix (@netflix) January 2, 2025 Harry's other ventures included a documentary about polo, Live to Lead about inspiring leaders and Heart of the Invictus, following competitors in the 2022 Invictus Games. Season one of Meghan's With Love Meghan lifestyle series, which saw the former Suits star offer hosting and cooking tips as she entertained friends, was savaged by critics. One review in The Guardian described it as a 'gormless lifestyle filler' and 'so pointless it might be the Sussexes' last TV show', while The Telegraph gave it two stars and branded it 'insane' and an 'exercise in narcissism'. Its release coincided with the launch of Meghan's As Ever brand, which sells flower sprinkles, pre-prepared baking kits and jam, and in which Netflix is also a partner. The couple's other major media deal with Spotify ended in 2023 after one season of Meghan's podcast Archetypes, with one of the streaming giant's executives later branding them 'grifters'.

Brooklyn Beckham & Nicola Peltz 'renew wedding vows' after 3 years of marriage "Awww congratulations on renewing your vows. Your mama is beautiful lady x," said a fourth. Meanwhile, other fans and critics questioned why Nicola's family was present at the vow renewal, but Brooklyn's was not. "What about Beckham family?" asked one. "Where is your husbands family?" echoed another. 'FINAL KICK IN THE TEETH' Rumours of a family feud between the couple and The Beckhams have been rife after the loved up couple failed to attend dad David's 50th birthday party. The couple, who first got married in April 2022 after dating for three years, said "I do" again at the start of August 2025 in a vow renewal ceremony. In the photos shared by the couple on Instagram, they are surrounded by Nicola's family and friends. The ceremony was even officiated by Nicola's father, Nelson Peltz, 83. A source told The Sun of David and Victoria's reaction to the vow renewal after they found out about the ceremony on a US sit. They told us: 'This was the final kick in the teeth for David and Victoria. 'Seeing Nelson [Nicola's father] having such a pivotal role at the ceremony was heartbreaking for David especially. "Not one member of the 30-plus extended family knew about the wedding, or were invited. 'His grandparents are devastated too as Brooklyn has always been so close to them." 'CRUEL AND SPITEFUL' The source continued: "At the original wedding, for example, Liberty - the daughter of Victoria's sister, Louise — was a bridesmaid but even she has been cut off now. "The rift runs far deeper than people realise. "It feels cruel and spiteful. This is no longer a game. It has gone beyond all that." 'This is a family who feel they have lost their precious boy - and see no way back. Honestly, they are now questioning why he even wants to keep the 'Beckham' surname - will he revert to Peltz? "August 2nd 2025 - is this the day Brooklyn formally declared himself no longer a part of the Beckham family? 'It certainly feels like it.' 6 Nicola and Brooklyn have seemingly distanced themselves from his family Credit: Instagram
