Pamela Anderson returns to OTT glam look with a heavily styled 'flippy bob'

Cosmopolitan21-07-2025
A few years ago, Pamela Anderson broke the internet (soz Kim K) with an admission: she was no longer to get glam. (That involved avoiding having her hair and makeup done, for the most part.) Now, however, she's only gone and returned to the glamour with an OTT hairstyle inspired by 1950s Old Hollywood. Enter: the flippy bob.
Last week [17 July], Pamela was spotted out and about in New York City and although makeup-free, her hair has been heavily styled into a bob with barrel-shaped, flipped-out ends. The chin-length 'do is defined by bounce, volume and, just like Marilyn Monroe had, a side parting.
Oh, and to capitalise on the drama of this look, Pam even had an outfit change. First, she stepped out wearing a striking royal blue set consisting of a tie-neck blouse and pencil skirt, and then, she wore a boat-neck long sleeve top paired with a turquoise embellished skirt.
Perhaps my favourite shampoo to date, this formula not only smells divine but effortlessly adds body and volume to super fine strands, without feeling heavy or clunky.
Top with the co-ordinating FABLE & MANE Volumizing Conditioner for voluminous yet silky strands like no other.
On damp hair, add your volumising mousse of choice. This one is super affordable and adds bounce and texture sans-the crunch.
One of the most integral steps for achieving a bouffant bob: the blowdry brush. This one from Drybar is a firm Cosmo fave; it's super easy to use and adds the perfect amount of curve to strands.
Finish with a dry hold spray for a long-lasting style. This one is perfect for fine hair and is often used by Khloé Kardashian!
While not essential, a backcombing brush as such is great for fluffing up any limp locks. From the ends to the root, comb backwards and smooth over once happy with the volume.
As Pam shows, there's more to glamour than just makeup. Time to take a hairstyling 101 crash course...Follow Lia on Instagram.

Is your baby a star? The Gerber Photo Search contest is set to return soon

Do you think your little one is meant to be the next Gerber baby? Well, they may have a chance to be just that next year, but not in 2025. On the official Gerber baby IG page, some users left questions on their posts asking about the status of the popular Gerber baby photo contest. "How do we apply for our child to be a Gerber baby ?? 🥲" wrote one user in a post. And another user wrote on a different post, "When's the 2025? I have the cutest little boy to enter!" "We see your questions about Photo Search and wanted to let you know... the Photo Search is still on!" Gerber wrote in a recent story post that was added to its highlight reel on Instagram. The post went on to say that the call for entry and full rules for the competition will be announced in January 2026. Last year, the start of the competition was announced on April 30, 2024. But through the years, Gerber has changed when they began and announced the Photo Search Gerber does not have any permanent plans around changing the timing for the program, a Gerber spokesperson told USA TODAY in an email. Gerber Photo Search was last held 2024 The last Gerber Photo Search took place in 2024 when Akil McLeod was announced as the 2024 Gerber Baby and Chief Growing Officer, according to a news release on Gerber's website. The toddler, known as "Sonny", is from Arizona and loves playing with toy cars and watching football with his family. 'Every day it's an honor to watch Sonny conquer so many tiny achievements, from giggles, to trying new foods, to standing up and everything in between," Dominque McLeod, Sonny's mom, said in a release. "He's a light in our lives and brings joy to everyone around him." Sonny was recognized on his second birthday a few weeks ago on the Gerber IG page, which reads in part, "You've brought so much light to the Gerber family this year. Watching you grow has been such a gift! We are wishing you the happiest day filled with love, laughs, and all your favorite snacks." A post shared by Gerber (@gerber) Baby names: Baby Santa? What to know about banned baby names in the US Origins of the Gerber baby The iconic face of the original Gerber Baby has become synonymous with the brand, and like today, that face was found through a contest held in 1928, according to Gerber. A simple sketch of Ann Turner Cook, drawn by her family's neighbor, artist Dorothy Hope Smith, won the contest and grew so popular that, in 1931, it became Gerber's official trademark and it is the face of Gerber to this day. Today, the Gerber baby is found in a similar way. Parents have been entering their children into the annual Gerber Baby Photo Search since it began in June 2010, according to a press release published on its website. The first winner of the contest was announced in January 2011. Of the over 217,000 contestants, judges picked 2-year-old Mercy Townsend from Toledo, Ohio. In past years, content winners have had a chance to star in Gerber advertisements and win scholarship money. Sabrina Carpenter Just Broke the Internet with Two Photos and One Caption: 'Go Put On Some Clothes'

Sabrina Carpenter has once again dropped the internet to its knees, and this time, it only took two photos and a single cryptic caption. On Wednesday, the 26-year-old pop phenomenon posted a duo of devastatingly gorgeous photos on Instagram to promote her upcoming album Man's Best Friend. The post, which is already sitting pretty with over 1 million likes, features Carpenter posing in full pop princess mode: soft curls, glowing skin, and the kind of confident smirk that screams I know exactly what I'm doing. But the gag of it all? Her caption: 'Go put on some clothes!' Cue chaos. Fans Go Feral: What It Mean? Within minutes, the comments and quote tweets exploded. Was this a lyric? A diss? A teaser for a new single? Or, God forbid, merch? 'new single is coming soon i feel it,' one user declared with clairvoyant certainty.'wait.. im sensing it'll be 'never getting laid' and it's a drag to the haters,' theorized another, 'she's saying 'go put on some clothes' because THEY'RE never getting laid.''i thought this was new clothing merch at first and i jumped,' one fan admitted.'what if that's 'never getting laid'… HEAR ME OUT!' screamed another, breaking into a full-blown lyrical analysis. Then came the plot twist: 'She's gonna start a lingerie line just like I said she should!! WATCH THIS SPACE,' another fan predicted with entrepreneurial hope. And perhaps the most iconic take of all: 'The other unfortunate people will say that she is sexualizing herself and acting like a 'housewife' but they don't know that the name of the album could be a reference to the film Man's Best Friend where the dog KILLS men.' A thinker. All Hail The buzz around the post is only intensifying the anticipation for Man's Best Friend, Carpenter's upcoming album, dropping August 29. After teasing individual song titles by having fans post photos of themselves with puppies (because why wouldn't she), Carpenter has now confirmed the full tracklist. The 11-song set includes: 'Manchild' (lead single, already a No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100) 'Never Getting Laid' 'We Almost Broke Up Last Night' 'When Did You Get Hot?' 'Don't Worry I'll Make You Worry' And yes, with titles like that, it's giving short n' savage. Produced in part by Short n' Sweet collaborators Amy Allen and Jack Antonoff, the project continues Sabrina's platinum-pink reign over pop. 'Manchild,' released in early June, catapulted to the top of the Hot 100, becoming her second career No. 1 and a biting, glitter-dipped takedown of fragile masculinity. Cover Controversy: Pop Girl, Provocateur, Pet Owner? The album's rollout hasn't been without drama. The original cover art for Man's Best Friend, which showed Sabrina on all fours with a suited figure pulling her hair, sent conservative critics into a tailspin. Some called it degrading. Some called it genius. All agreed: it was very, very Sabrina. In true Carpenter fashion, she clapped back not with an apology, but with another artfully constructed serve: a monochrome alternate cover showing her laying her head on a man's shoulder, captioned simply: 'Here is a new alternative cover approved by God.' Cue the standing ovation.
