Destination X star Nick is record-breaking athlete with secret link to Helen Skelton
Destination X took the country by storm when the first two episodes aired on BBC One last week, and one contestant hoping to go all the way is Nick Butter.
The show, which kicked off last week, showcases 13 strangers hoping to win £100,000 by correctly guessing where in the world they've been plonked.
Hosted by Rob Brydon, the adventurous cast head off to a different location every episode, and must try and work out where they are with a series of clues. Episode two saw several contestants successfully identify the Matterhorn in Switzerland as their second stop. It comes after the Mirror revealed all the clues that gave away the cast's location in episode two.
35-year-old endurance athlete Nick Butter was one of the successful candidates, and has now become one of the favourites to win the show due to his determination and skills.
Nick is a British endurance athlete, adventurer, speaker and best selling author. Not only that, the Destination X hopeful also holds 11 world records, and four world firsts.
He's the first, and only person to have run a marathon in every country in the world - running 3 countries each week, for 94 weeks.
Having run a marathon in every country in the world, it's safe to say Nick knows his Geography, which has proved to work hugely in his favour during the first couple of episodes of the show.
Due to his achievements, Nick has gained an impressive following on Instagram, boasting a modest 66.8k followers. Among these followers is television presenter Helen Skelton - who is no stranger to a marathon herself.
Helen has run the London Marathon four times, most recently in April 2025. Earlier this year, she finished with a time of 4:32:31, and was running to raise money for Children with Cancer UK.
The third episode of Destination X debuts on BBC One on August 6, where host Rob Brydon promises more twists and turns.
The challenge in the second episode left fans speechless where participants were split into groups and tasked with securing a clue for their team while precariously perched in a gondola 2,000 metres up in the air.
Rob then revealed a plot twist, one brave soul from each team had to abseil down to retrieve a clue from the bottom of their cart. Viewers shared their shock on X, formerly known as Twitter, as one penned: "This is INSANE he's hanging 2,000ft above air like it's nothing #DestinationX" While someone else tweeted: "Is this for real? #DestinationX".

Amanda Holden's daughter copies her mum's look as she wears white bikini on boat trip
Amanda Holden's daughter, Lexi Hughes, 19, posed on board a boat as she soaked up the rays wearing a two-piece white bikini that matched her mum's latest look Amanda Holden 's lookalike daughter cut a relaxed figure as she enjoyed the sunshine on a recent boat trip. The 19-year-old model wore a white halterneck bikini for the occasion as she took to Instagram to share the look. Taking to her social media account, Lexi sat back on the deck of the boat as the clear blue ocean was seen in the background. She perched herself on a lounger as she posed for the camera in the revealing two piece. With her wet blonde locks slicked back, Lexi finished the look with a pair of oversized sunglasses. She captioned the upload: "Boat day wearing @naia_beach." The company, which was co-founded by Tess Daly, quickly responded with a number of flame emojis. The post followed a very similar look from her 53-year old mum. Amanda had posted a snap of her in a very similar outfit as she posed on the rocks by the ocean. The images also come after Lexi posed topless in another photoshoot. Lexi, who has been signed to a modelling agency since the age of 16 is no stranger to the camera. She regularly updates her social media followers with her images. Earlier in the week she showed off her wet hair look while wearing a full make-up look. In one snap, she is seen gazing over her shoulder as she covered her chest with her arms. Another of her wet-look style uploads saw her crouched down wearing pale blue jeans and a white vest top. She paired the casual look with a pair of white pointed high heels. In the Instagram upload, she shared them alongside the caption them: "Wet look," with an emoji of eyes looking. Her presenter mum was among her followers pressing the post's like button. And while comments had been limited, followers were quick to share their appreciation. And a day earlier, Lexi had uploaded another photo shoot, labelling it: "Just a little shoot." Ashley Roberts was among those approving of the post. The modelling shoots come almost a year since she made her catwalk debut. While her Britain's Got Talent judge mum revealed she is over the moon after her teenage daughter has decided to follow in her footsteps into the industry, she also shared her caution at the time. Amanda, 53, shares daughters Lexi and Hollie, 12, with husband Chris Hughes and described the feelings from Lexi's first catwalk. Lexi opened a show at London Fashion Week last year and Amanda said the pair had been "super nervous" ahead of the gig. However, she didn't doubt for a second that she would thrive int he venture. After the show, Lexi confessed: "I was so nervous but I really enjoyed the experience. The other models were really nice to me backstage, and it was so much fun. "The show was so beautiful and the brand and designers are visionaries - passionate about sustainability with 90% of the raw materials they use being environmentally friendly. "I'm really proud that they trusted me with their design to support LFW. Everyone looked after me and it's surreal that tomorrow I start uni!"

Tourist convinced she's found 'world's best Primark' that's way better than UK
A Brit who loves to travel was shocked after finding what she declares is 'the world's best' Primark while on a city break abroad recently - it boasts five floors and has plenty of sizes in stock Holidays are often a chance to break free from the daily grind, immerse ourselves in new cultures, sample exotic cuisine, soak up the sun, and for many, indulge in a spot of shopping. Some British high street favourites offer unique finds overseas that aren't available back home. With that in mind, Florence Grace, from Manchester, was utterly gobsmacked when she discovered what she's dubbed "the world's best" Primark on her recent jaunt to a European metropolis. While exploring Madrid, Florence stumbled upon the colossal Primark store and couldn't contain her excitement. "Guys look at this Primark I'm in, are you joking me," exclaimed Florence in an Instagram video. "Imagine this being your Primark." This particular Primark in Madrid is outdone in size only by Birmingham's sprawling flagship and features five levels of fashion paradise, complete with balconies peering into the heart of the grand structure. Nestled on Gran Vía, Madrid's renowned shopping centre, this store is one of 11 Primark stores gracing the Spanish capital. During her spree, Florence, a lifestyle and fashion influencer, unearthed a treasure trove of summer-ready shorts and tees, skirts, "the best" linen trousers, floral claw clips, among other gems. Florence was particularly struck by the extensive range of sizes on offer, noting: "The best thing about this Primark is they have actually got sizes of everything, like they are so stocked up." However, Florence described the shop as "carnage" during her visit, and with such an array of clothing on offer, it's no wonder the place was heaving! Social media users have since flocked to the comments section to express their views. One user exclaimed: "This is the world's best Primark." Another concurred: "It's a fantastic store." A third chimed in: "So nice." And a fourth shared their experience: "Yesss, I have been there. Fabulous." One commenter even offered a friendly caution, saying: "I was just there last week! You can easily get lost." Meanwhile, another lamented the state of some UK branches, questioning: "Why can't our UK Primarks be like this? Some in our cities are rubbish."
