'When we became aware of Jordan's availability, it was a pretty simple decision,' Andrews told the Bees' website.
'We did our due diligence around his recent games to see where he is. He's still phenomenally fit and he's still phenomenally motivated to achieve things in the game, having already achieved a lot.
'With the void of experienced players leaving the building – Christian Norgaard, Mark Flekken and Ben Mee – it was important to replace that.
'What Jordan will bring is that he has been one of the most influential leaders in modern Premier League years. He's been at the forefront of driving for titles and Champions Leagues at a fantastic football club.
'He also has experience at international level with England and, with that, comes a level of experience, professionalism and dedication to his profession – that's the exact way we want to be as a football club.'
Henderson, who has 84 England caps and was recently recalled by Three Lions boss Thomas Tuchel, was a free agent after leaving Ajax in the summer.
He spent 12 years with Liverpool before a controversial move to Saudi Arabia with Al-Ettifaq in 2023.

Palace have so far been unwilling to negotiate a lower fee, but it is claimed that may change later in the window. When asked about Eze's future back in May, Palace boss Oliver Glasner said: "I don't want to comment on individual players. "We could talk about Marc Guehi, we could talk about Dean Henderson, we could talk about Adam Wharton, we could talk about Jean-Philippe Mateta, Daniel Munoz, Ismaila Sarr who played an incredible, outstanding season for us. We won't sell all of them." And Glasner has been left frustrated with Palace's lack of business so far this summer, having only spent £3m on a backup goalkeeper and a left-back. "Even though all the players are still here, we haven't made the most of the transfer window so far," Glasner admitted. "I was promised that we would be more active and bring in the new players earlier this year. As of now, I have 17 outfield players. "I hope we don't lose any more. If that happens and we get four new ones on deadline day like last year, another false start is possible." Palace's business has been complicated by the fact that they are still waiting to find out which European competition they will be playing in next season. Palace qualified for the Europa League after winning the FA Cup last season, but have been demoted to the Conference League by UEFA. UEFA ruled that they had breached their multi-club ownership rules, but Palace have lodged an appeal with the Court of Arbitration for Sport and a decision is expected before August 11.

The stats make for good reading and there is no doubt Arsenal would be signing one of the most talented players in the Premier League if they bought Eze. But there is one glaring question looming over his potential signing: where would he play? In an ideal world, Arsenal would look to deploy Eze on the left side of their 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 systems with Gyokeres through the centre and Bukayo Saka on the right of a potentially devastating attack. But Eze rarely played on the wing at Palace last season and all of his league goals and assists last term came when he was playing in an attacking midfield role, behind the striker, while he failed to score or create a goal when deployed on the left on three occasions. Would Eze therefore be required to adapt to a new position if he moved to Arsenal, potentially limiting his attacking threat? Or could his arrival put pressure on captain Martin Odegaard, who was below his best in the 2024-25 season and may be required to adapt his role to accommodate Eze?
