The hilarious change was only meant to be temporary, but after a petition was launched for it to stay for good, Aldi bosses gave it the green light.
Manchester local, Ella Curtis, gathered over 1,300 signatures and was backed by Bury MP Christian Wakefield.
"What started as a nod to a special reunion quickly took on a life of its own. The rebrand resonated with people across Manchester and beyond," she wrote.
"Photos of the sign went viral because it tapped into something meaningful: pride in where we're from, and in what this city has given the world. In short, Prestwich got its own Blue Plaque."
Gig goers posed in front of the new 'Aldeh' on Bury New Rd before heading to Heaton Park to watch the band make a triumphant return.
The sign has even been listed on Google Maps as a cultural landmark and has collected a string of five-star reviews.
One visitor wrote: "Finally, a shop that speaks my language. It's no longer Aldi, it's Aldeh, and that rebrand alone deserves a knighthood."
"Greatest rebrand of all time!! What a nod to the Gallaghers and Manchester," another added.
A third cleverly crafted his review with Oasis lyrics: "I live Half the World Away, but I was top mad for it. What felt like driving All Around The World. Some Might Say I was crazy, Definitely Maybe. But Be Here now, I stared at the Wonderwall with awe, Stand By me when I say this. 10/10 attraction."
"As LG would say... Biblical," another wrote.
Before the big change, Aldi teased fans on social media about making it a permanent fixture.
"Boss said we also need 10,000 likes and a comment from one of the Gallaghers," a spokesperson for the store typed on Facebook.
It got 15,000 likes - which meant Aldi had no choice.
Liam Gallagher even shared a photo of the name change on Instagram.
Noel's daughter Anais also showed her appreciation for the sign on Aldi's TikTok post.
Giles Hurley, chief executive officer at Aldi UK, confirmed the move on LinkedIn.
"Last week, a petition was launched by a local resident calling for us to keep the sign.
"So naturally, we took to social media to see what our shoppers thought, turns out… people are mad for it and want the sign to stay.
"I'm pleased to announce that we'll be keeping the Aldeh sign as a tribute to Manchester! As you were," he wrote.
Julie Ashfield, Aldi's chief commercial officer, added: "We've been blown away by the public's reaction to 'Aldeh'.
"What started as a fun, temporary tribute to Oasis and the local accent has turned into something far bigger.
"We've heard shoppers loud and clear and we're absolutely delighted to keep the sign up for the long haul."
The brothers returned to Manchester this month with five homecoming gigs at Heaton Park - their first in the city in 16 years.
They belted out classics like 'Don't Look Back in Anger' and 'Supersonic' to the delight of hard-core fans.

Oasis honour late rocker Ozzy Osbourne with sweet Wembley show tribute
As Oasis brothers Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher kicked off their Wembley Stadium gigs tonight, they made sure to include a tribute to the late, great Ozzy Osbourne. Liam and Noel began their reunion tour at the start of July and have already played to hundreds of thousands of fans, marking their first tour together since disbanding in 2009. This evening, they returned to London as a group for the first time in over a decade, greeted by a sold-out crowd of cheering supporters who were lucky enough to win the Ticketmaster Hunger Games. There have been plenty of headline-grabbing moments from the once-feuding siblings on stage so far, most notably their entrance on night 1, as they proudly held hands and proved the guns have, indeed, fallen silent. But there have also been some emotional moments, like tonight's tribute to the Black Sabbath legend following his death. Towards the end of the gig, they remembered the musician via the song Rock 'n' Roll Star. Lead singer Liam told what he described as a 'f***ing beautiful' crowd: 'I wanna dedicate this one to Ozzy Osbourne, Rock 'n' Roll Star.' Then, after Live Forever, which is 'dedicated to the Oasis fans that can't be here but are here, if you know what I mean', photos of Osbourne appeared on the screens. As video footage of the sweet moment later surfaced on social media, fans were quick to honour 'legend' Osbourne themselves, declaring the tribute a 'class' act. The Black Sabbath star's death at the age of 76 was announced earlier this week. A statement issued by his wife Sharon and their children on Wednesday read: 'It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. 'He was with his family and surrounded by love. 'We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.' The Crazy Train superstar played his own final show with his bandmates just two weeks ago to a rowdy crowd at Birmingham's Villa Park. His health struggles were well-documented, as he was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2020 and, in the years that followed, suffered mobility issues, forcing him to stop touring. The Prince of Darkness' wholesome tribute isn't the only one to appear at an Oasis gig thus far, as the brothers also remembered Portuguese footballer Diogo Jota a few weeks ago after he died in a car crash aged 28. Elsewhere tonight, Oasis superfans in bucket hats and branded T-shirts covered the capital, having travelled from all over the world to see their favourite band. As with previous gigs, Liam and Noel walked out to the roaring reception hand-in-hand, opening with Hello and proceeding to belt out many of their classics, including Some Might Say and Morning Glory. The packed-out stadium was in full voice throughout, and at one point, Liam threw a tambourine into the jubilant crowd, while later positioning one on top of his head. Despite pledging to concentrate on his vocals rather than talking, telling those gathered, 'every time I open my mouth at these gigs I seem to get myself into a lot of trouble, so I'm just going to do the singing', Liam later engaged in some light football banter. The well-known Manchester City fan appeared to poke fun at Arsenal fans in the crowd, joking about their position in the Premier League. Hello Acquiesce Morning Glory Some Might Say Bring it on down Cigarettes & Alcohol Fade Away Supersonic Roll With It Talk Tonight (Noel sings) Half the World Away (Noel sings) Little by Little (Noel sings) D'You Know What I Mean Stand By Me Cast No Shadow Slide Away Whatever Live Forever Rock and Roll Star The Masterplan (Noel sings) Don't Look Back in Anger (Noel sings) Wonderwall Champagne Supernova Phone camera torches lit up the stadium as darkness fell and the show concluded, closing out with huge tunes Don't Look Back in Anger, Wonderwall, and Champagne Supernova. More Trending Friday's show—the eighth of the tour—followed a five-night run of homecoming gigs in Manchester's Heaton Park and the two opening shows in Cardiff earlier this month. Following the first part of their Wembley stint, the band will head up north to Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium, followed by Dublin's Croke Park. The group will then head to Japan, South Korea, South America, Australia, and North America later in the year. Got a story? Beckham siblings narrowly avoid awkward run-in with Brooklyn during vacation
Romeo and Harper Beckham were seen narrowly avoiding a run-in with their brother Brooklyn during a family vacation. The two siblings were spotted by a harbour in the lavish Saint Tropez in France while on holiday, where Brooklyn had recently posted videos of himself cooking. However, as Romeo was pictured arriving in France, photographers reportedly saw that Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz had already departed for the United States, seemingly avoiding a meeting with each other. Just a few days prior, Brooklyn had also shared a nude photo of Nicola in the bath. This comes after it was revealed earlier this month that Brooklyn no longer followed his brothers Cruz and Romeo on social media, with the latter two having also unfollowed Brooklyn's wife Nicola Peltz Beckham. Brooklyn Beckham claimed that he was just 'as confused as everyone else' after discovering he no longer followed his brothers, according to sources. 'Brooklyn had no idea until he read about it online. It's possible Romeo and Cruz blocked them, which would make it appear as him no longer following the brothers,' the insider told The Sun. 'He and Nicola certainly didn't unfollow them or block them – they're as confused as anyone else. The first they heard about it was when it was being reported on,' they added. On July 16, Romeo shared pictures with his siblings Cruz, 20, and Harper, 14, without eldest Beckham sprog Brooklyn, 26, anywhere to be seen. Harper, whose recent birthday sparked an unexpected public show of affection from Brooklyn, hugged Romeo on the streets, the pair looking as close as ever in the new snaps. Cruz also posed with them for a group photo, which included his girlfriend Jackie Apostel, in a show of affection. However, Brooklyn seemingly played down any rumours of a feud as he paid tribute to youngest sibling Harper on her 14th birthday. Taking to Instagram he shared a snap with the birthday girl – and his partner – on his story, alongside the message: 'Happy birthday Harper we love u x.' He tagged Nicola, who then reposted the photo on her own profile. Rumours of a rift in the family began when Brooklyn and Nicola married in 2022, with reports of tension between her and Victoria Beckham, 51. This, however, was played down when both were spotted at public events on a united front. However, eyebrows were raised once more when Brooklyn and Nicola failed to make an appearance at David's 50th birthday bash. This was on top of Brooklyn not sending his dad a birthday message on social media, which he had done in previous years. Further fuel was added to the fire when just a short time after this snub, Brooklyn wished Nicola's dad a happy birthday on Instagram. The reason behind the rumored rift is currently unclear, but it has been claimed that Victoria is 'desperate' for things to be patched up between her once-close family. 'Victoria hates to think about her family being so divided, especially with it involving one of her children,' an insider told Metro. More Trending 'Brooklyn's absence at David's 50th birthday party was noticeable, and she desperately wished he would have been there. 'They've always been a close-knit family, and seeing how things are now has been devastating for Victoria and David.' The source also added: 'Brooklyn hasn't felt the same about his family for months,. 'When big family milestones approach, he often feels quite isolated over in Los Angeles, but he's keen to show that he loves his family deeply.' Got a story?
