Taking to socail media and sharing the post with the PM and the Jodhi, he said that the Union Government has brought the 'PM-Kusum' scheme in line with the ideas of the Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi to promote the use of solar power in the agricultural sector, which will not only protect the environment but also reduce the burden of electricity on farmers.
As part of this, 'I am grateful to the Union Minister for Renewable Energy, Shri @JoshiPralhad, for approving an additional 450 MW capacity for decentralised grid-connected solar power plants for the State of Telangana and allocating 20,000 solar agricultural pump sets to the State,' he said.
Adding, it is going to be a golden opportunity for Telangana, in view of the state having vast potential for solar power generation.
However, he criticised that despite the continuous encouragement provided by the Central Government, the State Government has failed miserably in implementing the PM-Kusum scheme in Telangana. Since this scheme is set to end in 2026, 'I request the Chief Minister of the state to at least take the initiative to come forward to protect the interests of Telangana and provide the benefits of the scheme to the farmers of the state.'

India embarks on indigenous green hydrogen shipbuilding mission
In a major step toward sustainable maritime transportation, India had initiated the construction of its first green hydrogen-powered ships, Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal announced in a written reply in the Lok Sabha on Friday (August 8, 2025). The response came after MP Kesineni Shivanath raised a question regarding the development of hydrogen-based vessels. The Union Minister revealed that Cochin Shipyard Limited and Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited were currently building one ship each, powered entirely by hydrogen fuel cells developed using indigenous technology. These efforts align with the government's broader vision to promote eco-friendly fuel alternatives and reduce pollution in maritime transport, he said. To support the green transition, the Centre had earmarked ₹115 crore under the National Green Hydrogen Mission for the period up to 2025–26. These funds would be used for ship design, technology trials, infrastructure development, and pilot projects. The green hydrogen ship initiative was being implemented in two phases. The first phase focuses on retrofitting existing vessels to operate on hydrogen fuel, while the second phase includes the development of hydrogen refueling infrastructure at key ports. Key agencies such as the Shipping Corporation of India and V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority (VOCPA) had been designated as implementation partners. The VOCPA had already prepared a project proposal for a 750 cubic metre green methanol bunkering facility in Tuticorin, which was one of the selected locations for green hydrogen infrastructure development. Other ports such as Deendayal Port, Paradip Port, and Tuticorin Port were also being developed as hydrogen hubs, as part of the government's roadmap to turn these facilities into centres of production and export of green hydrogen. 'These strategic moves will not only enhance India's use of clean and renewable fuels but also help in drastically reducing pollution levels in sea routes,' the Union Minister said, adding that the bold initiatives taken by the Central government would place India at the forefront of green hydrogen technology and set the stage for a cleaner, future-ready maritime sector.

Andhra Pradesh sees major boost in road infrastructure under CRIF: Nitin Gadkari
Andhra Pradesh's road network is set for a significant upgrade, with Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari announcing impressive progress and fresh approvals under the Central Road and Infrastructure Fund (CRIF). Responding in the Lok Sabha to a question from Eluru MP Putta Mahesh Kumar, the Union Minister revealed that over the past three years, including the current financial year, Andhra Pradesh had seen 20 State road projects completed, spanning 691 km at a cost of ₹535 crore. 'The momentum is far from over. Fifty-five more projects, covering 534 km, are currently underway in Andhra Pradesh with a sanctioned cost of ₹1,256 crore. These works promise to further strengthen connectivity across districts and ease travel for both commuters and freight movement,' he said. Looking ahead, the Centre approved 57 new projects under CRIF in the State. These would cover 718 km and involved a financial commitment of ₹1,928 crore, a move expected to create thousands of jobs and accelerate economic activity along key corridors. Mr. Gadkari emphasised that the CRIF operates under the provisions of the CRIF Act, 2000, ensuring that all States and Union Territories received their share of funds for the development and maintenance of vital road infrastructure. 'With sustained investment and coordinated planning, Andhra Pradesh is well on its way to achieving a world-class road network,' he noted.
