BRS Working President KT Rama Rao celebrates Telangana Formation Day with NRIs
Texas [USA], June 2 (ANI): Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President KT Rama Rao celebrated the Telangana Formation Day and the silver jubilee of the party with NRIs at the Dr Pepper Arena in Dallas in Texas, USA.
Sharing an X post, KTR said, 'A large number of Telangana NRIs, party leaders, MLAs, former ministers, former MLAs, and public representatives participated.'
Addressing the event, Rao said, 'June 2nd, a 60-year dream comes true! The day when decades of ambitions, hopes, aspirations, dreams came true!'
He added that it is Telangana's style to make the impossible possible and that the state has made many things possible that were thought to be impossible.
'Telangana has emerged as a leading state in no time, surpassing the big states that have been established for decades,' KTR said.
The Telangana MLA, during his speech, lauded the Indian Armed Forces for avenging the terror attack on tourists at Pahalgam.
He added, 'Our Slogan is 'Jai Telangana', but when we are outside the state, we are Telugus, and when we are out of the country, we are all proud Indians.'
Earlier, KT Rama Rao was in London, where he participated in India Week 2025, an international forum organised by Bridge India. He delivered the keynote address on Friday, highlighting Telangana's governance model during the nine-year BRS tenure, focusing on innovation-driven development and inclusive growth.
He also informed that the theme of his talk at the India Week Conference was 'Why Telangana Matters'.
Meanwhile, BRS MLC and Rao's sister K Kavitha celebrated by hoisting the national flag and Telangana Jagruthi's flag at the newly inaugurated Telangana Jagruthi Office.
Telangana celebrates its 11th Formation Day. The state was officially formed on 2 June 2014. Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), now Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), chief K Chandrashekar Rao was elected as the state's first Chief Minister, following elections in which the party secured a majority. (ANI)

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy launched a fierce political attack against the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), branding it as DRS – Dayyala Rajya Samithi (Demons' Rajya Samiti). Addressing a public gathering in Turkapally village of Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district, the Chief Minister said the BRS has lost its credibility and moral authority after a decade of what he called 'misrule and loot." Referring to remarks reportedly made by BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha, daughter of party chief K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), Revanth Reddy said, 'Even KCR's own daughter admitted he is surrounded by demons. And yet, the leader of these demons remains silent, hiding in his farmhouse. That is not BRS anymore, it's DRS – not Bharat Rashtra Samithi, but Deyyala Rajya Samithi. These demons must be driven out of Telangana. I will lead this fight—but I need the people to stand with me." The Chief Minister accused the BRS government of looting the state under the guise of 'Bangaru Telangana' for ten years. 'They demolished houses in Vasala Marri village claiming it would become a model village, but KCR never returned to it. The state was turned into a wasteland. ₹8 lakh crore in debt, no progress, and endless corruption. They failed the students, farmers, and activists who were the backbone of the Telangana movement," Revanth said. He went on to question how the BRS, despite having access to Rs 20 lakh crore in state resources, failed to complete the SLBC (Srisailam Left Bank Canal) project with just Rs 2,000 crore. 'Ten years in power and not a single major project completed. They disrespected the sanctity of Yadagirigutta and are now paying for their sins. Even their own leaders admit the party is haunted by demons," he added. The CM highlighted his government's commitment to development and transparency. He launched multiple development projects worth Rs 1,500 crore in the Aleru constituency during the event. 'We've restored Yadadri back to Yadagirigutta. We're making the temple accessible for autos and building a golden gopuram with 60 kilograms of gold. On the lines of TTD in Andhra, we've established YTDC in Telangana. Educational institutions in Yadagirigutta will be elevated to university status." The Chief Minister also emphasized his resolve to rejuvenate the Musi River and said, 'Despite opposition, we will clean the Musi River and fill it with Godavari waters. KCR should first answer Kavitha's charge on devils in party, says Revanth Reddy
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said that former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao should first answer his own daughter and MLC Kavitha's charge of 'devils' ruling the roost in the BRS party. 'When his own family member is asking questions about devils in the party, the leader of devils is sleeping in the farmhouse unable to give a reply,' he remarked at a public meeting held in Aler in Nalgonda district on Friday. Mr. Revanth Reddy said he had taken up the responsibility of throwing out the 'devils' from Telangana on behalf of the people of the State. The BRS leaders have launched a counter attack against the government for sending a notice to the former Chief Minister to appear before the Ghose Committee probing into the Kaleshwaram irrigation Project imbroglio. 'If one notice can confuse him (KCR), what about people like us who have been incarcerated in jail for several days? Does he (KCR) think he is God and above everything else? Is he not answerable for pushing Telangana into a debt trap and having ruined it?,' he asked. Mr. Revanth Reddy said he had vowed to dethrone KCR and realised his goal with a single-minded approach and now his endeavour is to fulfil people's aspirations. 'I have the duty to set things right and my efforts are to put the State back on the developmental path to compete globally. We will take children of the oppressed sections on our progress path as per our leader Rahul Gandhi's vision ,' he said. 'Our government has been working relentlessly for the last 18 months and meeting everyone unlike the previous ruler. We are giving salaries on the first of every month and not as instalments. Employees unions are satisfied, but the BJP/BRS leaders are not,' he remarked. He once again reiterated his government's commitment to clean up River Musi and provide succour to the Nalgonda farmers and criticised the BRS/BJP leaders for their 'opposition' to the project. The government had restored the name of Yadagirigutta and will develop the shrine on the lines of TTD – Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams as also the educational institutions in the region, he added. The Chief Minister had earlier inaugurated or laid foundation stone for several development projects in the region in the presence of his Cabinet colleagues, local public representatives and officials. Bhatti Vikramarka Vows to Turn Palamuru's Drylands Green with Timely Completion of Lift Irrigation Project
Mahabubnagar: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka reiterated the Telangana government's firm commitment to completing the long-delayed Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme and transforming the parched lands of Mahabubnagar into fertile agricultural zones. Speaking at a massive public meeting after laying foundation stones for power infrastructure projects worth ₹72 crore in Moosapet mandal of Devarakadra constituency, the Deputy CM accused previous governments of neglecting the region and misleading people with hollow promises. Bhatti Vikramarka laid the foundation for one 132/33 kV substation and twelve 33/11 kV substations, signaling the government's intent to improve power supply to rural and farming communities. He announced that all necessary funds for completing the irrigation project—including for resettlement, rehabilitation, and land acquisition—will be released without delay. He cited the approval of ₹70 crore for the Uddandapur R&R package as evidence of the government's sincerity. He sharply criticized the previous BRS regime, questioning why the Palamuru-Rangareddy project, launched in 2015 with a foundation stone laid by then CM K. Chandrashekhar Rao, remained incomplete even after ten years. He condemned the symbolic activation of pumps just before elections as nothing more than a publicity stunt and stated that the Congress-led administration, under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, is now working with a genuine people-centric approach. The Deputy CM also highlighted key welfare initiatives being rolled out by the government. He noted that 4.5 lakh houses are being constructed under the Indiramma Housing Scheme with an allocation of ₹22,500 crore. For Devarakadra alone, 3,500 houses have been sanctioned. Other major schemes include 24x7 free power supply to farmers, free 200 units of domestic electricity to 50 lakh households, free RTC travel for women, and the launch of the 'Rajiv Yuva Vikasam' scheme to support five lakh unemployed youth. He also announced the ₹12,600 crore 'Indira Solar Girijana Vikasam' for the benefit of tribal communities through solar pumps, borewells, and cultivation support on 6.7 lakh acres. At Nawabpet in Jadcherla constituency, Bhatti Vikramarka laid the foundation for a 132/33 kV substation with an outlay of ₹42 crore and sixteen 33/11 kV substations costing ₹54.37 crore. In his address, he slammed the previous government for betraying Palamuru and assured that the Congress government would set a new benchmark in governance. On this occasion, 200 sewing machines were distributed to minority women and Indiramma housing documents were handed over to beneficiaries. The event witnessed the participation of Ministers Jupally Krishna Rao, MLAs Anirudh Reddy, Madhusudan Reddy, and Megha Reddy, District Collector G. Vijayendra Boi, and senior officials from TRANSCO, TGSPSCDL, and other departments. DCCB Chairman Vishnu Vardhan Reddy was also present. Several development proposals including new hospitals, colleges, transformer repair centers, and trauma care units were also discussed during the meeting.
