Bojan Miovski suitors placed on red alert as Girona boss reveals transfer plans
Bojan Miovski's long-term future at Girona has been thrown into further doubt after the La Liga side's manager confirmed they are looking to bring in another striker.
The Macedonia star endured a tough debut season in Spain following his £6.8million switch from Aberdeen 12 months ago, scoring just four goals in 21 matches in all competitions.
Girona had claimed a Champions League spot in the 2023/24 campaign with a shock third place finish in Spain's top-flight but a huge slump saw them narrowly avoid relegation to the Segunda Division last season.
Miovski featured in four of Girona's six pre-season fixtures ahead of their La Liga opener against Rayo Vallecano next weekend but Estadio Deportivo report that the 26-year-old is likely to be moved on this summer.
The Pittodrie hero was a target for Celtic in the past after bagging 44 goals across two seasons with the Dons and has been tentatively linked with rivals Rangers as well as Bundesliga duo Hamburg and Freiburg.
It comes after Girona head coach Michel revealed that he wants to sign four more players before the window slams shut on September 1, including a new centre forward.
He said: "We need a left-back, a central midfielder, a winger, and a striker.
"It seems like Miguel Gutiérrez will leave, although it's not a done deal yet. If he leaves, we'll need another left-back."
Earlier this summer, Miovski left the door open to a potential departure by admitting that a decision on his future could be taken out of his hands. The former MTK Budapest frontman also hasn't ruled out making a sensational return to Pittodrie further down the line.
In an interview with RG.org, he said: "My career will probably last for another 10 years, and I cannot predict the future, but I do not rule out the possibility of wearing Aberdeen's shirt again one day.
"I was really appreciated within the club, and I love the club as well. I felt really good there, and if I return there one day, winning a trophy would be at the top of my list.
'My primary goal is to score as many goals as possible next season and help my team achieve its targets. I signed a long-term deal last year, but I cannot predict what will happen over the summer.
"Although the club considers me a project to develop and I have three years left on my contract, everything is open, and whether I will leave or stay depends on the club."

According to AS, the 21-year-old's departure could have been halted by issues in the medical, which took place in Barcelona. Betis remain confident that he has no injury worries and that the defender will sign with another club this summer however, whether that be on loan or permanently. After missing out on Mendy, Gers switched focus and quickly agreed to a deal that brought Brentford starlet Jayden Meghoma to Scottish football. The 19-year-old, who worked with Russell Martin at Southampton, joined the Ibrox side on a season-long loan. He has gone straight into the Light Blues' Champions League squad, replacing attacking midfielder Nedim Bajrami. Gers know the left-back area is a weak point at the moment, with Jefte and Ridvan Yilmaz both on the way out. Max Aarons hasn't looked comfortable playing on what it is his weaker side but Meghoma now becomes the only other option.
