Inside Kelly Clarkson's ex husband Brandon Blackstock's heartbreaking final days at his Montana ranch before dying of cancer

Kelly Clarkson's ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, reportedly spent the last few months of his life at his $1.8 million ($2.7 million AUD) Montana ranch while silently battling cancer.
'Brandon lived a pretty quiet life in Montana. That was how he liked it,' an insider told Us Weekly Saturday.
'Even though he worked in entertainment in the past, that was not his personality. He was at home in Montana.'
'He had his ranch and rodeo, but he preferred to go under the radar,' the insider explained.
'Some of the people who worked with him at Starstruck [Entertainment] ended up moving to Montana to work on the rodeo with him.'
Blackstock, who was 48 when he passed away, was already at his countryside home when his health 'took a very bad turn' earlier this year, per the source.
The insider explained that the former talent manager 'was focusing on his treatment' and had 'spent a ton of time with his family in the last six months, more than ever before.'
His ex-wife Kelly Clarkson reportedly joined their kids, River, 11, and Remington, 9, in visiting him and made quality time with him a priority.
The source, however, noted that the 'Breakaway' songstress, 43, 'was not caring for Brandon.'
According to the insider, Blackstock's eldest daughter, Savannah, 23, whom he shared with his first ex-wife, Melissa Ashworth, was 'with him almost all the time.'
'She has been having an incredibly difficult time. They were very close. Everyone is in shock,' the source said.
'Brandon was traveling and doing things,' the insider added. 'Even a few months back he looked okay. He looked thin but he looked like himself. No one can believe it.'
Blackstock also shared his eldest son, Seth, with Ashworth, to whom he was married from 2001 to 2012.
Reps for Blackstock weren't immediately available to Page Six for comment.
The businessman died on Thursday after battling cancer for more than three years, Page Six learned.
Clarkson, meanwhile, noticeably stepped in and out of the spotlight, including by being absent from her morning show and canceling several of her Las Vegas residency shows amid her ex's illness.

Pete Davidson claims smoking weed sent him into a psychosis

Pete Davidson has claimed smoking weed once sent him into a psychosis. The 31-year-old comedian has managed to kick the habit, but admits he used to be a 'big drug addict' and even experienced a psychotic episode in which he lost touch with reality. He told Power 105.1 FM's The Breakfast Club: 'I was a daily, all day sorta guy and I got psychosis where you hear voices, and you feel like you're sitting next to yourself, weed isn't supposed to do that … it's because it's too strong." The stand-up admitted that after coming to prominence on Saturday Night Live in 2014, he used drugs to cope with the pressures of fame. He said: 'Yeah, I was just doing drugs and trying to do comedy — you know what I mean? I didn't kill anyone or anything, but it's still… you don't want that out, you want to be able to grow. 'That's what we don't really have anymore — any form of privacy, I feel like, for young people where you, like, get to make those mistakes and learn your lessons, and it not be in Page Six.' Despite countless trips to rehab, Pete admitted it didn't help. He said: 'I was a big drug addict — I would go to rehab and stuff, and I do have mental stuff, and I was in therapy, but if you're a drug addict none of that works. 'You can't go to therapy on a bunch of drugs and expedite it to work.' It wasn't until his relationships started suffering that he decided enough was enough. He explained: 'I'm not a person who can do things in moderation, unfortunately, and I think I was kinda trying to fool myself — be like, 'You can do this' — and it just got to a point where people I really cared about were like, I will not f*** with you anymore.' Some of them don't still. Most of them, I will say, came back.' Pete is grateful he experienced the 'crazy stuff' related to his drug use early in life, while he was still young enough to recover and grow from it. He said: '[It] got a little out of control fast, and I was really young … I'm glad all the bad, crazy stuff happened in my 20s. 'I'm glad I got it out of the way, but it's tough when you're young and doing that. I'm jealous of people who blow up when they're 35 because they have a full life, they have their family, they have their friends, and they know who they are as people.' He added: 'When you don't know who you are yet and you're just in the news all the time for literally bull****, it's embarrassing, it sucks. I'm grateful that, not that it's excusable, but that I was really young.' Pete opening up about his past drug use comes as he's preparing to become a father for the first time. The Bodies Bodies Bodies actor and his girlfriend Elsie Hewitt revealed in July that they are expecting their first child together. He told People magazine of his impending fatherhood: 'I'm just excited to take care of the little one. The second I found out the news, I was like, 'Oh wow, what I do is just a job.' "I realised I was kind of basing my happiness on work, which is ridiculously unhealthy. So it gave me this weird sense of calmness, where this is just a job and now I have someone to do it for.'

English life: Ellen DeGeneres 'has never been happier'

Ellen DeGeneres is "in her element" in rural England. The 67-year-old TV star and Portia de Rossi, her wife, swapped the United States for the Cotswolds in 2024, and the celebrity duo are loving life in their new surroundings. A source told Us Weekly: "It's a different lifestyle for her. She's very chill and in her element." DeGeneres an de Rossi had actually been contemplating a move for some time before they eventually committed to the idea. The couple - who have been married since 2008 - ultimately found their ideal home in the Cotswolds and they haven't looked back since. The insider shared: "They had visited before and looked at homes but weren't sure when they would do it. When they found the right place, they jumped on it." DeGeneres has really embraced her new lifestyle in England. The source explained: "Ellen's been farming and gardening and taking care of her animals. "Those close to her have never seen her happier." And while the couple are keen to enjoy some privacy, away from the bright lights of Hollywood, they've also been mingling with the locals. The insider said: "(Ellen and Portia) have interesting things to say. They were friendly to local people and wanted to live normal lives." DeGeneres recently claimed that "everything" is "just better" in the UK. The Tstar admitted that she was relishing her new lifestyle since making the move to England. She told broadcaster Richard Bacon: "It's absolutely beautiful. We're just not used to seeing this kind of beauty. The villages and the towns and the architecture - everything you see is charming and it's just a simpler way of life. "It's clean. Everything here is just better - the way animals are treated, people are polite. I just love it here." DeGeneres - who hosted her own TV talk show between 2003 and 2022 - explained she's been enjoying the rural lifestyle since leaving the US last year. She said: "We moved here in November, which was not the ideal time, but I saw snow for the first time in my life. We love it here. Portia flew her horses here, and I have chickens, and we had sheep for about two weeks." Ellen DeGeneres is "in her element" in rural England.
