Program offers two tracks in Cybersecurity, AI Python Programming
KUWAIT: Zain announced the launch of the second cohort of the 2025 edition of the Kuwait Codes initiative, part of its ongoing strategic partnership with CODED Academy. The new phase features the participation of over 300 high school students and aims to equip them with advanced digital skills to enhance their readiness for the future. The orientation session was held at the College of Life Sciences at Kuwait University – Shadadiya campus, with the participation of Hamad Al-Musaibeeh, Corporate Relations Department Manager at Zain Kuwait, who met with students and was briefed on the training plans and new focus areas for this cohort.
This phase introduces two main training tracks: one in Cybersecurity and another in Python programming using artificial intelligence technologies. This marks the first time Python with AI is included in the program. Python is one of the world's most widely used programming languages, valued for its versatility and ease of learning, making it an ideal choice for developing students' technical capabilities.
The expansion of the initiative builds on the success of previous seasons, with Zain continuing to support quality educational programs that contribute to building a digitally aware generation capable of innovating across various technology and innovation sectors. Kuwait Codes is considered one of the leading educational programs focused on developing students' programming skills in a simplified yet professional manner. It offers a dynamic and engaging learning environment supported by modern training content that keeps pace with the evolving tech landscape.
The initiative aims to train 1,000 students during the current year across a variety of technical fields, including app development, website design, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence. Zain's participation in this initiative is part of its corporate sustainability strategy, which places youth empowerment and digital education at the forefront of its priorities. In line with this vision, the company supports a number of pioneering programs in partnership with CODED Academy, such as the girls-coding-focused X Academy, the Kuwait Hackathon Challenge, and a range of training initiatives that aim to enhance the technical capabilities of national talents to prepare them for the digital economy of the future.

Zain Summer Program: a remarkable conclusion for a remarkable cohort

One of the first programs of its kind inspiring similar initiatives to empower national talents KUWAIT: With great success, Zain Kuwait concluded the sixth season of its Summer Program — one of the first comprehensive summer training programs of its kind in the Kuwaiti private sector — with a closing ceremony held at its main headquarters in Shuwaikh. The ceremony was attended by students and partners and featured on-stage recognition of all 35 participating students in appreciation of their efforts throughout the program, in addition to honoring the partners who contributed to the success of this distinguished experience. This year's partners included Kuwait News, Kuwait Times, INJAZ Kuwait, and the new partner V-Thru, the leading virtual drive-thru service platform. To further encourage the participants, Zain recognized the most outstanding students in several categories: the top three students achieving the highest sales at Zain branches, the best content creator at Kuwait News and Kuwait Times, and the most efficient student at V-Thru. Valuable prizes were awarded to the winners in recognition of their dedication and exceptional performance. Honoring a distinguished student. Honoring one of the students. Launched six years ago under the umbrella of Zain's Future University Network – FUN program, the Summer Program stands out as one of the earliest interactive summer initiatives of its kind to train young people in the Kuwaiti private sector. It has successfully inspired many other entities to launch similar programs aimed at supporting young national talents. Over its six seasons, the program has trained more than 250 students from various academic disciplines, offering them a unique opportunity to gain practical experience and professional skills in an environment that mirrors the private sector work environment. This year's participants were distributed across three main training tracks: Zain's branches, media institutions Kuwait News and Kuwait Times, and the new operational and technical track with V-Thru. They gained diverse experiences in customer service, sales, digital marketing, content creation, logistics, and journalistic reporting. The program extended beyond hands-on training to include theoretical workshops delivered by INJAZ Kuwait to enhance personal skills, as well as recreational activities and interactive events to foster team spirit, such as go-kart racing, a shooting competition, and a special session hosted by director Ya'roub Bourahma and young content creator Aws Ya'roub Bourahma on modern media strategies and challenges, and how to communicate messages creatively and artistically. An additional interactive workshop on creative smartphone photography was presented by Kuwait Times and Kuwait News Production Manager Nasser Hayati, introducing students to the basics of smartphone videography, creative content production, and directing and artistic production skills. This program reflects Zain's deep belief in the importance of investing in youth as the cornerstone for building a more prosperous future for Kuwait. Through this initiative, the company continues its pioneering role in providing high-quality training opportunities that contribute to developing national talents, preparing a generation equipped with the skills and expertise to compete and excel in the local job market.
