As fans eagerly await the release of Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par, the makers have shared an exciting behind-the-scenes video from the film's set. The clip features Shah Rukh Khan visiting the sets and meeting all the actors of the film, including Aamir.
The BTS clip captures the cast, and Aamir too, looking surprised as Shah Rukh walks onto the set. The actors break into cheers for the superstar. Later, Shah Rukh is seen speaking with one of the actors as he reveals that Aamir had repeatedly urged him to visit. He said, 'Aamir has told me at least 10 times to come and meet the actors as they are doing really well. I didn't get time earlier but every day I meet him, he tells me to come.'
In the video, Shah Rukh is seen interacting warmly with the cast, who request him to say dialogues from his iconic films like Darr, Chak De India, Don, and Baazigar, among others. Shah Rukh looks elated as the actors recite his famous lines. Actor Simran Mangeshkar introduced herself and shared that she is 26 years old, to which Shah Rukh responded, 'Just like my son Aryan.' He is seen spending quality time with the cast and even strikes his signature open-arms pose, sending everyone into a frenzy. The clip ends with Shah Rukh posing for a group photo with Aamir and the entire Sitaare Zameen Par team.
Sitaare Zameen Par is a spiritual successor to Khan's 2007 film Taare Zameen Par. In the earlier film, Aamir played an art teacher who helps a student with a learning disability. In this new film, he once again takes on the role of a teacher—this time, a reluctant basketball coach for students with intellectual disabilities. The film also stars Genelia Deshmukh and is set to release in theatres on June 20.

Sitaare Zameen Par advance booking: Aamir Khan-starrer stands at Rs 2 crore with blocked seats; his war against OTTs continues

Sitaare Zameen Par advance booking: Sitaare Zameen Par is attracting all eyes not just because it marks Aamir Khan's much-awaited return to the silver screen after a three-year hiatus, but also because it marks the commencement of the Bollywood superstar's battle against the 'faulty business model' of Indian cinema, which he believes, functions according to the diktats of the OTT giants. In a strong first step, Aamir has reportedly turned down a Rs 120 crore offer from Amazon Prime Video for the film's digital rights, allowing the RS Prasanna directorial a full theatrical run without rushing to an OTT premiere. This move is aimed at boosting ticket sales by making theatrical viewing the only way to experience Sitaare Zameen Par. However, based on early trends, the plan has yet to yield favourable results as the film's momentum has been slow so far since bookings began on Wednesday morning. Also Read | Bollywood's biggest hairstylist died penniless, family was left with 'nothing to eat' despite counting Bachchans, Kapoors as friends As of 9 pm on Wednesday, the Aamir Khan-starrer has sold tickets worth around Rs 54 lakh in India, according to industry tracker Sacnilk, with around 19,000 tickets sold across approximately 3,800 shows. While Delhi has contributed Rs 13 lakh, Maharashtra's contribution stands at around Rs 8 lakh. The Hindi version accounts for the bulk of these numbers. Including blocked seats, the total advance booking gross in India currently stands at around Rs 2 crore. It's worth noting that Aamir Khan's last two films — Thugs of Hindostan (2018) and Laal Singh Chaddha (2022) — despite eventually flopping at the box office, had recorded advance booking grosses of Rs 27.5 crore and Rs 5.71 crore, respectively. In comparison, Sitaare Zameen Par appears to be off to a much slower start. However, considering that the sports comedy-drama has a significantly smaller budget than his previous two outings, a direct numerical comparison would not be fair. Given the current scenario, the film's performance will hinge on two key factors: the effectiveness of the 'Hobson's choice' strategy employed by Aamir Khan Productions, and the strength of word-of-mouth from early viewers. Also starring Genelia Deshmukh, Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishnan Varma, Vedant Sharmaa, Naman Misra, Rishi Shahani and Rishabh Jain, Sitaare Zameen Par is written by Divy Nidhi Sharma. The film features music by Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy, background score by Ram Sampath, cinematography by Srinivas Reddy and editing by Charu Shree Roy. The movie will hit the screens on Friday (June 20).

Vishnu Manchu pens emotional note for son Avram's acting debut in Kannappa: Nothing compares to seeing your child shine

Vishnu Manchu's much-anticipated Telugu film Kannappa is set to hit theatres next week. Ahead of its release, Vishnu took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to share a candid BTS video to talk about a special moment. Kannappa also marks the acting debut of his 7-year-old son Avram. Vishnu said that watching Avram on set and face the camera was 'one of the most emotional moments of my life.' (Also read: Akshay Kumar feels Hollywood superheroes come from Indian mythology, Vishnu Manchu says Mahabharat inspired Star Wars) In the video, Avram was seeing on the set of the film with the rest of the cast and crew shooting vital portions in the outdoor locations. Avram talked with his father, tried on the costumes and practised his lines. The video showed a montage where Avram was seen having fun on set, running around, checking his scenes on the monitor in between and making sure it looked okay. The video ended with a small video where he was seen playing with his bow and arrows on set. In the caption, Vishnu penned a note to mark this special occasion. It read, 'My little Avram, makes his debut in Kannappa. Watching him walk onto the set, say his lines, and live this dream, has been one of the most emotional moments of my life. As a father, nothing compares to seeing your child shine under the same sky you once dreamed beneath. This isn't just a debut. It's a memory for a lifetime.' He concluded, saying, 'I hope you all shower him with the same love and blessings you've always given me. Avram's journey begins… and it begins with Kannappa. Har Har Mahadev (folded hands emoticon).' The mythological fantasy thriller is based on the legend of Kannappa, a devoted follower of Lord Shiva in Hinduism. The film stars Vishnu Manchu in the titular role alongside Mohan Babu, R. Sarathkumar, and Madhoo, among others. It also features star-studded cameos—Akshay Kumar as Lord Shiva, Mohanlal as Kirata, Prabhas as Rudra, and Kajal Aggarwal as Goddess Parvati. The film is set to release in theatres on 27 June.
