I Missed Out On This Instagram-Famous Top Twice - But It's Just Been Restocked

Lighter evenings, Pimms back on the menu and constant talk about a looming heatwave all point in one direction - we're waiting for summer. As for your wardrobe? Nothing says 'I'm ready for summer' like digging out gingham, well, everything. Whether the print conjures memories of 90s rom-com wardrobes, picnic blankets (in a chic way of course) or Alexa Chung's festival heyday, gingham has truly earned its place as a sunny staple.
Albaray's take on the gingham trend, its Gingham Blouse, feels somewhat nostalgic, thanks to its comfortable elasticated neckline. Steering clear of twee territory or any cottagecore connotations, the monochrome check is anything but frumpy, and the sleeves have a gentle puff, which gives the top volume and interest (but won't make you feel like you're off to a debutante). Plus, made from a responsibly sourced cotton blend, the gingham blouse also ticks the box for breathable comfort, designed to take you from a commute on the central line to copious beer gardens this summer.
Gingham Blouse
Albaray's Gingham Blouse is the perfect summer top. Not only does it have that trending gingham pattern that's reminiscent of a (very chic) picnic blanket, but it also has balloon sleeves and elasticated neckline - which means it can be worn one of two ways - on your shoulders or off.
Depending on how you want to style the blouse, the top can be worn both on and off your shoulders. Yes, it may be tan line-dependent, but this Albaray top actually stays put if you're planning to wear it off the shoulder without having to constantly readjust. Style it with a pair of wide-leg linen trousers and a straw bag for a look that wouldn't look out of place on the French Riviera, or, for everyday with Bermuda shorts and chunky sandals. Come the cooler evenings, layer the Gingham Blouse underneath a lightweight trench coat (Alexa Chung was spotted in an affordable Mango style only last week) or boxy blazer.
It's rare to find a summer top this good - and, clearly I'm not alone as the Gingham Blouse has just been restocked for the second time and is already selling out in a couple of sizes. Gingham may be a timeless print, but this one won't be around long so serious contemplation isn't advised.

The One Direction star and reality beauty couldn't keep their hands off each other on a sun-soaked day out. They were spotted hiring a quad bike, with Louis taking the lead as they cruised through town. The History singer wore an orrange T-shirt and white shorts, which he teamed with black sunglasses and a baseball cap. Zara stunned in loose white trousers and a crop top layered over her green bikini. At one point Louis puffed on a cigarette while they waited for their ride, with a smitten Zara wrapping her arms around him. Louis returned the affection by gently squeezing her bum and planting a kiss. They were later seen grinning at each other before hopping on the quad bike and driving away. Louis flew the Strictly star out in first class to a secluded villa last week. He's currently working on new music there and wanted to spend some quality time with Zara after going public with their romance. She was previously seen locking lips with her new pop star beau as they dined at a restaurant. A source said: 'Louis and Zara are going from strength to strength. 'It meant Zara was unable to attend the TV Baftas but she is keen to spend as much time with Louis as possible." Louis will be back in the UK for Soccer Aid next week and is set to play on the England side with Zara's ex Sam Thompson. Zara split from former Made In Chelsea star Sam in January, moving out of Sam's West London home, and leaving behind the two cats they shared. She has decided to skip Soccer Aid to avoid an awkward run-in with her ex. Zara and Louis confirmed their romance on holiday in Los Angeles over a month ago. The pair were snapped holding hands in a sweet PDA during their trip to the US. The Sun revealed they were an item after they were spotted enjoying an overnight stay at The Suffolk in Aldeburgh in exclusive photos. It came amid reports that Zara had formed close bonds with Louis' sisters Phoebe and Daisy. They recently teased a new reality show, with sources claiming Zara has been helping them behind the scenes thanks to her experience as a TV presenter and documentary maker. 5 Love Island star Zara looked radiant in the figure-hugging maxi dress Credit: Instagram 5 It featured floral detailing around the neckline and a dramatic ruffled skirt Credit: Instagram 5 She shared the snaps to Instagram on Friday Credit: Instagram

More info Unfortunate Edinburgh Robbie Williams fans have been caught in torrential downpours while waiting for the star to take to the stage at Murrayfield. The singer is kicking off the first leg of his Britpop tour in the Scottish capital on Saturday and the weather has certainly not been in his and his fans' favour with showers starting as thousands flocked to the West End stadium. Following a brief period of sunshine the heavens well and truly opened as footage from inside the stadium shows hundreds of fans wearing waterproof ponchos and standing with their hoods up. Several also took to social media to say they were forced to chuck their own umbrellas in the bin ahead of the gig, with security enforcing strict rules. According to Met Office forecasters, showers are to be the theme of the evening with several spells of heavy downpours set to leave fans sodden by the time the gig concludes at around 11pm. For those dreading the journey home, ScotRail confirmed extra carriages and trains will be added wherever possible in a bid to help fans travel to and from the gig with ease. Additional late-night services are also set to run from Edinburgh to Glasgow, Dundee, Dunblane, & Perth. For those heading to Haymarket after the show, ScotRail added: "Seeing @robbiewilliams later today? Please note Haymarket station will be much busier than usual. When the show ends, walk quickly back to Haymarket station if you can, and join the holding area on Haymarket Terrace where you'll be directed to the appropriate queue." The Angels singer shared a message to his fans only hours before doors opened. On Saturday morning, the singer shared a post on Instagram while performing with his band and wearing a Britpop T-shirt. He captioned the video: "See you tonight Edinburgh for BRITPOP Night 1." Join Edinburgh Live's Whatsapp Community here and get the latest news sent straight to your messages. The rock icon shared a moving picture of a map that was created by his late father, Harold May, to memorialise the band's first tour across Europe. ‌ Alongside the illustration, the 77-year-old penned: 'My Dad's supportive handiwork for our first Queen tour of Europe... 1974!!! As honoured in Stockholm last night. Love to all - Bri.' Queen's European tour consisted of ten shows in six countries which they performed over a two and a half week period. ‌ Sir Brian shared the snap to Instagram, where he has 3.5M followers and thousands of his loyal fans flocked to the comments to offer kind messages to the singer. Inspiring word". Brian's touching post comes after he and Queen drummer Roger Taylor were awarded the 2025 Polar Music Prize at a gala ceremony in Sweden this week on Tuesday May 27. The legendary musicians were honoured for their remarkable careers and contribution to music. ‌ Stepping up to accept the award, Brian told the crowds: 'In this special moment, I contemplate how that younger Brian May in 1974 would have felt if he knew that we would be living this kind of dream 50 years in the future.' While Roger recalled: 'When we started our band… we had ambitions, but never dreamed of the journey that was to follow. ‌ "We were fortunate in the fact that our four wildly different personalities came together to achieve a wonderful chemistry. 'The Polar Music Prize is exceptional in the fact that, unlike other awards, it recognises the entirety of an artist's career. "What an honour to be included in the glittering cavalcade of previous laureates.' ‌ The evening featured live musical performances celebrating Queen's legacy and the other award winners and nominees as rock band Ghost performed a rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody alongside Opeth guitarist Fredrik Akesson. Queen frontman Adam Lambert, who was appointed as the de facto lead singer of the band in 2011, then took to the stage. He sang Queen hits Who Wants to Live Forever and Another One Bites the Dust, which were originally performed by the late Freddie Mercury.
