Minibike crash leaves one injured Monday night
A crash involving a car and a mini bike sent one person to the hospital Memorial Day evening.
The accident was reported just before 6:30 Monday night at the intersection of Cole Drive and Helen Road.

According to Millcreek Township police, the operator of the mini bike was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
There's no word on the extent of the injuries but police on scene said they did not appear to be life threatening. The cause of the accident is under investigation Monday night.

As Los Angeles police struggled with another day of unrest in downtown L.A., several Waymo autonomous taxis were set on fire, sending black smoke billowing into the air. The dramatic images were captured during an afternoon of clashes between large groups who were protesting immigration raids by the Trump administration and L.A. police who were trying to maintain order. Protesters swarmed around the vehicles, tearing the doors off and stomping on the windshields. One man with a mask over his face smashed car windows with a skateboard. Another appeared to use a makeshift flamethrower to set the interior of a car ablaze. Around 5:30 p.m., some people were seen throwing Lime electric scooters into the burning cars, while others stood back. The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the vehicle blazes while the Los Angeles Police Department warned people to stay away from the area. "Burning lithium-ion batteries release toxic gases, including hydrogen fluoride, posing risks to responders and those nearby," said the LAPD in a statement. Waymo's fleet of electric, self-driving taxis has become a familiar sight on L.A. roads. A spokesperson for Waymo told The Times the company was in touch with law enforcement regarding the incident. After launching in San Francisco and Phoenix, Waymo began serving Los Angeles in November. It attracted an initial wait list of around 300,000 people before becoming available to anyone who downloaded the service's app, a company spokesperson said in January. 2 Teenagers Stabbed, 1 Man Shot in Washington, D.C., During Pride Month Event
Police in Washington, D.C., are investigating two incidents that left two teenagers with stab wounds and another person shot while a Pride Month event was taking place nearby A 15-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy were taken to a local hospital after they were injured in a stabbing during a fight that broke out in the city's Dupont Circle neighborhood at around 7 p.m. local time on June 7 Less than one hour later, another man was shot in the foot and taken to the hospital. D.C. police told the outlets that the victims were conscious and breathing when medics transported them to area hospitals from the scene of the incident, Dupont Circle Park. Their injuries were not considered life-threatening. Later, at around 7:50 p.m., after officers had cleared the park following the stabbing, a shooting broke out just south of the park. One man was shot in the foot, police told the Post. He was conscious and breathing and is expected to survive. Police did not share whether the man was at the park when it was cleared following the stabbing, per the Post. No arrests had been reported as of June 7, per the Post, and officials could not confirm whether these incidents were related to the nearby WorldPride D.C. parade festivities taking place in the area. Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) officials told 7 News that the Pride parade ended at around 7:30 p.m. and crowds were ordered to disperse from the park after both incidents. "There were several stabbings and a shooting at Dupont Circle and it is now closed. This is absolutely unacceptable," she wrote on X. "Please stay safe and if you are at the circle, time to leave." Tourist details newly obtained video of Boulder attack showing people on fire
BOULDER, Colo. (KDVR) — Mass confusion is how the man who recorded a video of the Boulder attack is describing Sunday's incident at the Pearl Street Mall. Alex Osante, a tourist, was visiting from San Diego when the situation unfolded. Witnesses describe 'terrifying' scene of attack at Pearl Street Mall in Boulder In the video, you can see the firebombs being thrown and people running around trying to get water and medical aid. Osante said the whole situation lasted about seven minutes before police arrived on scene. 'I came on vacation for one week to Aspen,' he said. 'After one week, I wanted to see Vail, Breckenridge, and then come to Boulder for one day.' On that Sunday afternoon, chaos ensued. 'I definitely didn't know anything about the walk or what was going on there. I was just having lunch across the street at an Italian restaurant,' Osante said. In the middle of his lunch, he heard a loud boom, and heard frantic screaming. 'When I turned over to look at what was going on, there were people just running around tripping and they were falling,' he said. 'It was hard to understand what was going on. There was a lot of confusion. There were five people that were on fire … who were burning.' Alex said he witnessed victims burning from head to toe. He, along with bystanders, helped provide water to those in distress. 'People from all different backgrounds, ethnicities, and nationalities, as soon as this started happening, we all came together as a big group to find out a solution,' said Osante. Shortly after, he recorded the video so he could dissect what happened later. 'Thankfully, I started recording when I did, so we can capture what was happening there,' Osante said. 'Because I'm the only person who has the video from the beginning to the end showing what really happened, I was able to, after the fact, go back to the video and dissect it to see what really happened. So, when I go back and look at it, I see the man came out of the trees in the bushes a second time with the Molotov cocktails in his hand. He threw it at a lady and when he threw it at the lady, he lit himself on fire. When he lit himself on fire, he went up in flames.' Man helps pour water on victims in Boulder terror attack At the time, he didn't know the suspect was the one responsible for the tragedy. 'It was like, 'Why is this guy on fire?' He must not be one of the — he must not be the person causing this because he is on fire,' said Osante. 'He took off his vest and his shirt and was standing there holding two bottles. We didn't know what the bottles were, but they kind of looked like the bottles of water I was giving to the victims.' He says it's still hard to grasp what unfolded. 'I've been to 87 countries on vacation and all around the world, and never have I seen anything this crazy and this wild where people are on fire,' said Osante. 'I never expected anything like this to happen and it was a complete shock.' Osante said it was devastating to learn the cause of the tragedy. 'Let's make terrorism not great again,' he said. 'When I learned what was actually going on with the political agendas, all of the information we didn't understand at first, it magnified the amplitude and the chaotic experience we all went through. This is going on all over the world. People fighting against each other, happening all around the world, and it needs to stop.' This Sunday at noon, there will be a gathering for Boulder's weekly run for their lives walk as well as the annual Boulder Jewish Festival.
