Kerry Katona's daughter, Heidi, was reduced to tears as she recounted a harrowing childhood memory of witnessing her stepfather assault her mother.
Heidi was just a child when Kerry was married to her third husband, former rugby player George Kay. Tragically, George passed away in 2019 at the age of 39 due to a drug overdose after reportedly consuming cocaine at a hotel.
Now 18, Heidi - who views George as her father despite her biological dad being Kerry's second husband, taxi driver and drug dealer Mark Croft - has spoken candidly about her upbringing, confessing: "I saw things as a child I should not have seen."

The young woman revealed that she witnessed George physically attack her mum, who is also the mother to Kerry's 11 year old daughter Dylan-Jorge, affectionately known as DJ. On one occasion, he even threatened to kill DJ by injecting her with heroin.
Heidi, who aspires to follow in her famous mother's footsteps, now harbours mixed emotions towards the man she once called dad. In her first-ever interview with The Sun, she admitted: "I am grieving for him. But I also saw my dad hitting my mum.", reports the Mirror.
"She didn't realise at the time how much I saw. It has an effect on who I am now. I saw things as a child I should not have seen. Mum sent me to a therapist but I don't see the point of it. I try to be tough. Like mum I use humour to cover things up, but it's not always easy."
The 44 year old Atomic Kitten singer, known as much for her turbulent personal affairs as for her musical career, is a mother of five and thrice married. Kerry Katona's eldest daughters, Molly, 23, and Lilly-Sue, 22, are from her previous marriage to Westlife star Brian McFadden.
Her middle children, Heidi, 18, and Max, 17, were born during her second marriage to Mark Croft. Notably, Heidi marked Father's Day by honouring Kerry on social media rather than her biological father, posting: 'The woman who did both jobs @kerrykatona7 Happy Father's Day.
' The youngest of the brood, 11 year old DJ, is from Kerry's third marriage to the late George Kay.
Kerry Katona, who grew up in foster care, has seen her share of ups and downs over a 25-year spell in the spotlight, including careers in singing and reality television and experiencing bankruptcy twice. However, she has reclaimed millionaire status after starting an OnlyFans account, with her daughter Heidi divulging that Kerry sought her children's consent pre-joining the platform amidst lockdown.
Heidi has spoken out about the family discussion, detailing how their mum said 'I want to do OnlyFans - tell me if you have a problem with that' and clarified the nature of the website. Heidi commented: "Lockdown meant her other work had stopped. We all agreed she should do it, she's a grown woman who makes her own decisions.
"She bought us all Airpods with her earnings. I thought, 'This is great'. She's done glamour before, she's been pictured with her boobs out, there's not a huge difference. This way she takes control and makes money from her sexuality.
"We didn't know at the time that she was struggling for money. She has hidden a lot from us over the years."
Nowadays, her mum is living it up in a luxurious five-bedroom house in Cheshire and zipping around in a flashy Lamborghini, thanks to the cash from OnlyFans - Kerry reveals she's raking it in with feet pics.
Heidi, however, has her eyes set on loftier goals; she's determined to become a solicitor or dive into property development. She's adamant about steering clear of Love Island too – she can't stand the thought of her mum spotting her snogging on telly.

Body 'covered with clumps of maggots' at funeral home as family left horrified

WARNING: GRAPHIC CONTENT - Tabitha Worrell is taking legal action after it is said she was told "don't you make a scene" as employees took her to Torreon Williams' casket. A mum was disgusted after her son's body was allegedly discovered "covered with clumps of maggots" at a funeral home. Tabitha Worrell is taking legal action after it is said she was told "don't you make a scene" as employees took her to Torreon Williams' casket. She allegedly noticed the 24-year-old's body with "particularly his face, nose, and mouth, covered with and consumed by clumps of maggots" at Snelling Funeral Home in Chesapeake, Virginia. The lawsuit reads: "The maggots had been on and in Torreon Williams' body for a significant period of time and had been purposely ignored on the day of Torreon Williams' service as, in addition to the aforementioned, the maggots had burrowed into holes in his cheek and mouth that had not existed previously and were infested with large clumps of moving and visible maggots. "Plaintiff (Ms Worrell), her family, and friends experienced shock and horror at the grotesque display of the body of Torreon Williams and plaintiff (Ms Worrell) experienced extreme emotional disturbance." The family made a $3,000 (£2,200) down payment to the funeral home to handle the arrangements and scheduled a viewing and service. However, as reported by the Mirror, it is alleged "an employee of defendants (Snelling Funeral Home) approached the casket, placed her hands on plaintiff (Ms Worrell) and excleimed, 'don't you make a scene.'" After the family saw the sight, it is said a male employee tried to justify the disturbance by claiming "flies got to him". The family's lawyer, Kevin Sharp, said the funeral home provided the family with a "grotesque freak show". He told based in Virginia: "Maggots pouring out of this young man's nose. Maggots in his mouth, and on his face." Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Get the latest news sent straight to your messages by joining our WhatsApp community today. Ms Worrall's sister Tiffany Barnhart told the outlet her sibling screamed at the sight. Ms Barnhart added: "She was mortified by the way they reacted. They almost seemed to say, 'You don't overreact here.' You're the one to blame, not what they had done to her son." Mr Williams, who was a truck driver, "truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures," his obituary reads. These included chatting with friends and family, Youtubing, and spending time with his nephew. It adds: "Torreon had an uncanny ability to reach people profoundly and positively." The young man died of injuries suffered in a motorbike accident on Monday, May 2, 2022 and, after years of legal wrangling, the family is now finally able to press forward with its lawsuit. Ms Worrall is claiming in the suit the funeral home did not "adequately prepare, preserve and inspect" her son's body before the public viewing. They also believe that Snelling did not store the body in a sealed refrigeration environment, and it was thus exposed to elements. She is seeking $5,000,000 (£3.6million), as well as costs and fees and all other relief deemed fair. The case - a three-day jury trial - is set for Chesapeake Circuit Court's civil division on July 28.
