Major update on Bill Belichick's future with UNC as $9million deadline passes
Bill Belichick 's future with the University of North Carolina took a twist on Sunday, after a special clause in his contract kicked in and his buyout dropped by $9million. The legendary coach, 73, took his first job in college football back in December when he signed a $50million agreement to take charge of the Tar Heels. But Belichick negotiated a deal with UNC that meant his $10million buyout clause dropped to just $1million from June 1. The clause, which came to light shortly after he signed a five-year contract in Chapel Hill, was considered by many to be an easy escape route back to the NFL. The 73-year-old is the most successful head coach in league history, having won six Super Bowls while in charge of the New England Patriots between 2000 and 2024. Belichick's first game in charge of UNC isn't until September 1 but so far his tenure has been dominated by off-field drama involving his relationship with 24-year-old girlfriend Jordon Hudson. A number of explosive stories have emerged over recent weeks, including claims that they are engaged and accusations about Hudson's influence over the legendary coach. The 24-year-old came under fire after footage emerged of her gatecrashing his recent interview with CBS, when she shut down a question about how they met. Then, late last month, new footage emerged of a bare-chested Belichick sneaking out of an Airbnb after a night with Hudson. The coach first went viral after revealed Ring camera footage of him sneaking out in the early hours of the morning. It was initially believed he was leaving the Massachusetts home of his 24-year-old former cheerleader girlfriend in June 2023. It has now emerged that it was, in fact, a rented Airbnb in New England and the owners initially wondered whether the 'creepy old guy' was a 'drug dealer' or a 'relative'. According to ex-ESPN reporter Pablo Torre, the owners also thought Hudson could be an 'escort'. 'She said she was a dancer. Something was off. It just didn't make sense,' they said, per Torre, who on Friday released a new clip of Belichick leaving the house. In the remarkable footage, the shirtless 73-year-old is seen carrying a satchel over his shoulder and carrying a water bottle as he heads to his car after his night with Hudson in the rented property. The video was initially leaked after the Airbnb owners attempted to make sense of who had been staying in the property. They were 'legitimately worried' about Hudson because she stayed for only one night - despite booking for five. 'We saw the Ring video in the morning not knowing who this was, but it was an older gentleman with a very young woman who checked in the night before,' the female owner told Torre. The male owner recalled their conversation: 'She said "she's with this creepy old guy who's either her relative or a drug dealer" was the first thing (she thought). 'Because of the age discrepancy, you go: "He must be a freaking coke dealer..." That was her first reaction and then I started looking. I'm like: "That does look like Belichick."'

Kansas City Chiefs star leaves fans stunned with photo of himself with his terrifying pet animal
Kansas City Chiefs star Carson Steele posted a photo to social media of him holding his pet alligator, Crocky-J, that has left fans stunned with the terrifying creature. Steele, who is entering his second season with the Chiefs, uploaded the photo as the first in a larger roll showing off things he has recently done in his life. Steele is wearing a Chiefs hat alongside a black shirt and mesh shorts while holding Crocky-J, who appears to be smiling in the arms of his owner. Owning a pet alligator inspired Kansas City's roster to give Steele the nickname, crocodile, as a nod to the unconventional choice for a pet. 'I got him 2nd, 3rd grade probably as a Christmas present,' Steele said of his pet last year. 'So I've had him a little while now.' Steele said Crocky-J weighs between 90 and 100 pounds and his between four to five feet long. 'Just when you thought the Chiefs couldn't get anymore likeable they add this guy to the roster!' longtime reality television star and Kansas City native Wes Bergmann said on a video of Steele talking about his pet. Steele is originally from Greenwood, Indiana, which is about a half hour outside downtown Indianapolis. That part of the country is not known for being alligator-heavy, as opposed to in a state like Louisiana or Florida, which has plenty of swamps. Steele appeared in all 17 regular season games for the Chiefs last season and was second in Pro Bowl voting for fullbacks behind Baltimore's Patrick Ricard. Steele is thought of as a integral member of the Chiefs as they look to get back to their championship ways this fall after losing last year's Super Bowl to the Philadelphia Eagles.
