Dhadak 2 Box Office Collection Day 2: Siddhant Chaturvedi-Triptii Dimri Film Mints Rs 7 Crore
Dhadak 2, starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri, earned Rs 7.25 crore by day two. Directed by Shazia Iqbal, it faces competition from Son of Sardaar 2 and Saiyaara.
Dhadak 2 Box Office Collection Day 2: Dhadak 2, starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri, finally arrived in theatres on August 1 after several delays. Directed by Shazia Iqbal, the film follows a new love story and is a spiritual follow-up to the 2018 movie Dhadak. Although it started off slowly on day one, the box office numbers are improving. By the end of day two, Dhadak 2 has earned Rs 7 crore, according to Sacnilk. The film hasn't crossed Rs 10 crore yet, but there's still a chance for it to grow with the weekend audience.
On day two, Dhadak 2 showed a slight bump at the box office, raking in Rs 3.75 crore. The film had opened with Rs 3.5 crore on its first day, and with this new figure, its total collection has now reached Rs 7.25 crore. While the numbers aren't huge, the film seems to be holding steady heading into the weekend.
Dhadak 2 isn't having it easy at the box office. The film is facing tough competition from Son of Sardaar 2, which also released this week. The Ajay Devgn-starrer comedy sequel earned Rs 7.5 crore on its second day which is double of Dhadak 2's Day 2 collection. With this, Son of Sardaar 2's total now stands at Rs 14.5 crore.
Meanwhile, Saiyaara continues to rule the box office in its third week. The romantic drama is all set to cross the Rs 300 crore mark by Sunday. Also holding strong is the animated mythological film Mahavtar Narasimha, which is doing very well in its second week.
The film narrates the story of a law student who falls in love with his classmate, only to face harassment from her family due to caste differences. Directed by Shazia Iqbal, and backed by Dharma Productions, Zed Studios, and Cloud 9 Pictures, the romantic drama dives deep into themes of caste discrimination, love, and social resistance, offering a raw and emotionally charged cinematic experience.
A spiritual sequel to the 2018 film Dhadak, this version is a remake of the acclaimed Tamil film Pariyerum Perumal. Alongside the lead pair, the film also features Zakir Hussain and Saurabh Sachdeva in pivotal roles.

Farah Khan Warns Cook Dilip Not To Tell Husband About Her Flirting With Boman Irani
Last Updated: Farah Khan jokingly warns cook Dilip not to tell her husband she flirts with Boman Irani, says she considered casting couch for Main Hoon Na. Farah Khan's latest vlog is a riot of laughter, nostalgic anecdotes and trademark wit as she visits longtime friend and actor Boman Irani's home, accompanied by her ever-entertaining cook, Dilip. Known for their infectious chemistry and effortless humour, Farah and Boman light up the screen with their banter—and this time, even Boman's wife Zenobia joins in on the fun. Before stepping into the Irani household, Farah cheekily warns Dilip, 'Don't tell Shirish if I flirt with Boman." Confused, Dilip innocently asks, 'What is flirting?" Farah, with a mischievous grin, explains, 'Flirting means nain mataka, or if I hug Boman sir, or sit next to him." The laughs don't stop there. Recalling the casting of her 2004 film Main Hoon Na, Farah takes a playful dig, saying, 'The only time I wanted to do a casting couch for my movie was with Boman. But he got the role just like that, didn't even sit on the couch!" The room bursts into laughter. Dilip, clearly puzzled, is then asked if he knows what 'casting couch" means. When he says no, Farah shoos him away with a giggle: 'You please go to the kitchen now." Even Zenobia takes it in stride. When Boman asks how she puts up with such jokes, Farah interjects, 'Because she knows nobody believes we're having an affair." The vlog also reveals a charming throwback: Farah once dressed up for what she thought was Boman's birthday party, only to realise she had arrived a day early. The friends shared a hearty laugh reminiscing about the mix-up. As the group makes their way to the kitchen, Irani tries to excuse himself: 'This means it is my time to get out of the kitchen." But Farah protests, 'No sir, you need to be here. Chutney kaun lagayega apne haatho se?" prompting Irani to call Dilip for help. In a final moment of comic warning, Farah tells Dilip, 'Dare you tell anything to Shirish. I will have your salary reduced," to which Dilip responds with a sheepish smile. Salman Khan, Mahesh Narayanan In Advanced Talks For 70s-Era Action Period Thriller: Report
Last Updated: Salman Khan may soon team up with Mahesh Narayanan for a 70s-set action thriller. The duo has had multiple meetings and talks are now in the final stages. Salman Khan, who is currently gearing up for his ambitious project Galwan with director Apoorva Lakhia, is already planning his next big move. As he preps for the Ladakh shoot scheduled later this month, the superstar is actively meeting filmmakers to lock in future projects and one of the most exciting names in the mix is Malayalam director Mahesh Narayanan. According to a report in Pinkvilla, Salman and Mahesh have already had around four to five meetings, with the latest one taking place just a week ago in Mumbai. The discussions are reportedly centered around a period action thriller, a genre Salman has rarely explored in his three-decade-long career. 'Salman Khan and Mahesh Narayanan have been jamming on multiple ideas, and Salman has given a go-ahead to the filmmaker on a period-thriller with action. The film in discussion will be set in the 1970s to 1990s, and Mahesh will now come back for a full-length narration," the source told Pinkvilla. The project is said to be very different from Salman's usual fare. 'Be it Galwan, or the Mahesh Narayanan directorial—Salman is looking to explore new genres now, that challenge him. There will be a 100 percent clarity on the Mahesh Narayanan film before the end of this year," the source added. In parallel, the actor is also in touch with his frequent collaborator Kabir Khan. 'The duo is jamming on multiple ideas, and have a definite intent to collaborate. The discussions are happening across genres—from stylish action thrillers to high-octane dramas, and of course, the much-anticipated Bajrangi Bhaijaan sequel," the insider revealed. What's piquing fans' curiosity is the unique tone and setting of Mahesh's proposed film. 'It's a character in a world that Salman has not explored before. The things look positive at the moment for this collaboration," the source concluded. If things go as planned, Salman will wrap up Galwan by November or December 2025, and Mahesh Narayanan is expected to finish his Malayalam commitments in parallel. The two could come together for this exciting new project in 2026. First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Please keep discussions respectful and constructive.
