Did Vladimir Putin Send His Body Double To Meet Donald Trump? Well, There Are Theories
Speculations were rife as the Russian and USA presidents met on American soil about Vladimir Putin sending his body double for the occasion. A hilarious conspiracy theory has emerged on the internet, where users claimed that Vladimir Putin did not meet Donald Trump in Alaska on Friday, August 15. These conspiracy theorists were convinced the Russian president did not meet the US head in person and instead sent one of his body doubles to American shores. The conspiracy is based on assumptions about Putin's famous appearance and gait. In a set of funny posts, a section of Twitter users raised suspicion about Putin after claiming the person who landed in Alaska had fuller cheekbones. For others, doubts emerged after the Russian president appeared more jovial than usual while meeting Trump. Some took the body double claim to the next extreme, accusing the Russian president of having a series of doppelgangers that make public appearances on his behalf from time to time. 'Its literally not even the real Putin. They didnt even send the good double, they sent 'Jovial Putin", the expendable one that usually just makes minor public appearances and went to visit Kim in NK. Look at that hairline and those cheek fillers," claimed a user. — Nostramanus Someone else insisted, 'I think that is Putin's body double #5. Does not quite look like him. His cheeks are rounder and does not walk with his customary low movement right arm. A classic KGB walk he uses." 'Cheeks are too pudgy and he smiles too much. Looks like he's trying to hold back laughter the whole time," another conspiracy theorist claimed. Speculations Rife On Putin Using Body Double Interestingly, speculations surrounding Putin using body doubles to make appearances on his behalf are not new. On several occasions, the close observers of the Russian president have alleged he has multiple body doubles. There is even a Wikipedia article dedicated to the topic, 'Alleged doubles of Vladimir Putin". top videos View all The doppelganger theory is supported by many who believe Putin's doubles have undergone surgery to appear as close to the leader as possible. Some proponents, however, point towards the gait and appearance to separate the original from the fake. Putin's trademark gunslinger gait is extremely hard to replicate, with one arm (usually his right) staying unusually still by his side and the other swinging normally during his walk. Many Neurologists have suggested it's not a medical problem but mainly comes from his KGB training in the Soviet security service, during which agents are taught to keep their weapon hand (the right hand) close to the chest or near a holster when walking to ensure their guns are quickly drawn out in an emergency. view comments First Published: News viral Did Vladimir Putin Send His Body Double To Meet Donald Trump? Historic town hall in Mysuru deteriorates due to neglect
MYSURU: The historic Town Hall, officially known as the Sri Rangacharlu Memorial Hall, is fast deteriorating, with visible cracks and structural damage threatening its survival. Built over 90 years ago in memory of C. Rangacharlu, the celebrated Dewan of the erstwhile Mysuru State, the single-storey structure stands prominently near Mysuru Palace, yet suffers from years of neglect. Commissioned by the then Maharaja of Mysuru to honour Rangacharlu's leadership in steering the state out of crisis, the hall was once a proud cultural landmark. Its stage area, now partially supported by canopies, was notably used by many celebrities, including Mahatma Gandhi , to address a public gathering. Despite being under the care of the Mysuru City Corporation, restoration efforts were minimal. In 2014, then women and child welfare minister Umashree , during a review of Dasara cultural events, expressed strong displeasure over the hall's condition and directed officials to create permanent facilities, but no substantial action followed. The surroundings of the Town Hall are also in a horrible condition, and it seems corporation authorities are not concerned with taking up cleaning work. The place has become a site for all sorts of illegal activities. 'It's disheartening to see the Town Hall in such a pathetic state,' said Prof. N.S. Rangaraju, retired Professor of Ancient History and Archaeology at the University of Mysore. 'We informed the Corporation Commissioner, who assured early repairs, but nothing was done. Such neglect of a major heritage building in the heart of the city is truly unfortunate.' Repeated appeals from heritage enthusiasts have gone unanswered, leaving the future of the Town Hall uncertain. Preservationists urge urgent restoration to safeguard this cultural landmark before its condition worsens beyond repair. Speaking to TOI, Mysuru City Corporation Commissioner Shaikh Tanveer Asif said, 'The tender process is underway, and the work will be taken up at the earliest. I too felt very bad about the situation, but the repair involves a significant cost.' Stay updated with the latest local news from your city on Times of India (TOI).
