Malema should apologise for 'Kill the Boer' chant
An American pastor who is a fierce ally and supporter of US President Donald Trump believes the EFF and its leader Julius Malema should not be taken seriously and are attention-seekers for chanting the 'divisive' 'Kill the Boer, kill the farmer'.
Pastor Burns has defended his stance that there is no white genocide being perpetrated against white Afrikaners in South Africa
After recently visiting South Africa and speaking to white farmers, Burns said he does not believe there is a genocide being perpetrated against White Afrikaners in the country, adding everyone he talked to was 'extremely shocked to discover that this was the narrative being played out in Washington, DC.'
Ambush
Last month, Trump ambushed President Cyril Ramaphosa by playing a video of Malema's speech to support his claims of an alleged white genocide against farmers. He also questioned why the EFF leader had not been arrested.

Meeting Malema
Burns said he believes 'Kill the Boer, kill the farmer' is a chant 'designed to pull people apart and not biblical'.
'The fact that we're talking about him [Malema] is not even good because, you know, that's spewing hate. Unless he wants to come and apologise and say, 'you know what, pastor, you're right, me singing that song is hurting my white brothers and sisters here in my beautiful nation, even though it is important, and it has historical evidence.'
'Yes, Mandela, whom President Trump spoke highly of, has great respect for him, and he spoke about him twice, did sing that song. Even your Constitutional [Court], I think, voted that it was his [Malema's] legal right to sing the song, it's still causing division in our nation, on a nation that is still pretty new from apartheid,' Burn said.
Burns dismissed the EFF leader as 'just a character who is screaming, trying to garner attention for himself'.

'Kill the Boer, kill the farmer'
In March, AfriForum suffered a final blow in its attempt to have the controversial chant 'Kill the Boer, kill the farmer' declared as hate speech.
The Constitutional Court (ConCourt) delivered a brief ruling dismissing AfriForum's application for leave to appeal.
Malema said he would never be intimidated by Trump.
'Well, I'm not fearful. As a revolutionary, part of being killed is one of those honours you must wear with pride, but I'm not going to be reckless.
'I will never stop singing a song that Winnie Mandela sang. That would be a betrayal to the struggle of our people'.
'False propaganda'
Burns said he has been accused of spreading 'false propaganda' about no white genocide taking place in South Africa.
'To those accusing me of spreading false propaganda because I don't believe there is a white genocide happening among South African farmers, I say this: go speak to the White Afrikaans farmers and former apartheid leaders I met with.
'Some of them are strongly anti-ANC, yet they still shared serious concerns about safety in their communities. If that is considered false propaganda, then they are being accused of spreading it about their own people, which doesn't make sense,' Burns said.

Killing of white people
Burns added that he is not denying that some white individuals may have been killed because of their race.
'But based on what I saw and what was shared with me, far more black South Africans are being killed by the same criminal elements that are thriving in a weak and struggling economy.
'Let's be clear. There is only one South Africa. The days of racial division under the apartheid government are over. South Africa is the Rainbow Nation, built on unity, diversity, and hope.
'White Afrikaans, Black Africans, and all others are South Africans together. The future of the country depends on people standing together, not apart,' Burns said.
Who is Burns?
Burns is the minister of Harvest Worship Centre in South Carolina and a Republican who ran for state governor. He served as a board member of pastors for Trump.
An early supporter of Trump in 2016, Time magazine named Burns one of the US president's top advisors.

WATCH: Chaos erupts in City Council as EFF leader assaulted
EFF Councillor Mzubani Dambuza choked by security personnel inside the City Council Chambers. Image: Screengrab EFF caucus leader in the City of Cape Town, Mzubani Dambuza, said he lodged a complaint of assault with police last night, after he was attacked and choked by security personnel inside the City Council Chambers on Wednesday. Calls have since gone out for Cape Town Speaker, Felicity Purchase, to step aside, with the GOOD Party saying she was responsible for the incident after unlawfully allowing a Point of Order during the oral question period following Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis's address, which set in motion the chaos that followed. The confrontation was caught on film and shared widely on social media, showing Dambuza attacked and choked by security personnel, allegedly to the point of unconsciousness, during the Council sitting. Dambuza last night said he was doing fine after the assault. "As much as we don't agree with SAPS, we believe this is an attempted murder case," he said. In the video, other councillors are heard saying 'this is racism taking place", "get off him", and "why are you choking him? Stop choking him." Video Player is loading. Next Stay Close ✕ The chaos allegedly started when Purchase ordered Dambuza to leave the house. It's alleged security got involved when Dambuza's party members tried to shield him from them. Hill-Lewis was also apparently asked during the incident to bring his security to order. The GOOD Party's Roscoe Palm, who likened it to the killing of George Floyd in the US, said Purchase failed in her duty to apply the Rules of Order fairly and consistently. 'The Cape Town Speaker, Felicity Purchase, must step aside. 'Her actions, inactions and biases have resulted in violence and thuggery that have endangered lives. 'Today's scenes in Council were unfortunate, but not unexpected. Once again, the Speaker of the City of Cape Town has failed in her duty to apply the Rules of Order fairly and consistently. 'What happened in Council today must be addressed. GOOD will be calling for an urgent investigation into the Speaker's handling of the session, and disciplinary action against all councillors who disrupted proceedings, regardless of political party,' he said. The City of Cape Town's speaker Felicity Purchase. Image: FILE The DA Western Cape declined to comment stating it was a matter for the City to respond. The City Wednesday said: "The City is aware of recent events during the Council meeting and notes the related footage circulating on social media. We are reviewing the matter carefully to gain a comprehensive understanding of the context." Purchase said Dambuza was repeatedly instructed to desist from disruptive behaviour, to resume his seat, and was given an opportunity to comply voluntarily. She said despite her instructions that he leave the Chamber, he refused. "Due to the severity and persistence of this conduct, and physical harm inflicted upon some of the designated peace officers, I was compelled to adjourn the sitting and temporarily reconvene the Council meeting in the Banqueting Hall. This decision was taken to allow for the removal of all disruptive EFF councillors from both the chamber and the broader precinct, thereby ensuring that Council could proceed with its mandated business. "My stance on councillors who deliberately engage in disorder for the sake of political theatre is a matter of public record. As Speaker, I will not permit a minority of councillors to hold the Council and its work to ransom. "Order, respect for democratic processes, and the integrity of Council proceedings will be upheld without exception," she said. ANC caucus Leader in the Western Cape, Ndithini Tyhido, said in response to the incident: 'The ANC caucus in the City of Cape Town strongly condemns the violent treatment of the EFF councillors by an identified group of armed men organised by the reckless speaker Felicity Purchase, the ANC recommits itself to the full application of council rules.' Former Hawks chief calls for calm amid controversial comments by Sandton businessman
Godfrey Lebeya, the former head of the Directorate for Priority Crimes Investigation (DPCI), commonly known as the Hawks, has urged the public to refrain from speculation regarding the circumstances surrounding a stand-off incident involving multiple law enforcement agencies in December. Image: Instagram Former head of the Directorate for Priority Crimes Investigation (DPCI), known as the Hawks, Godfrey Lebeya, has called on South Africans to stop speculating over who called him during the alleged stand-off between the Hawks and other law-enforcement agencies during an operation outside murder-accused Katiso Molefe's home last December. This comes as Johannesburg businessman and self-styled anti-corruption crusader Malcolm X revealed that his consulting business allows him access to some of the country's leading political figures, including police ministers, police commissioners and top businesspeople. Molefe alongside his three co-accused appeared for their bail application at the Alexandra Magistrates Court recently, where their case was postponed to August 6 with Malcom X - not to be confused with the late African-American civil rights activist -who now finds himself at the centre of a media storm after he claimed that he initiated the call to Lebeya, as law enforcement agencies descended on Molefe's Sandhurst home last year. Advertisement Next Stay Close ✕ Ad loading However, Lebeya has indicated that he will not be commenting any further on this matter, as everything will be ventilated once the Commission of Inquiry, established by President Cyril Ramaphosa to investigate serious allegations of corruption and criminal infiltration within the South African Police Service (SAPS), kicks-off next month. "Thank you for your inquiry. The critical issue of who called and for what purpose has been settled. Now that the Commission is set to start in August, I shall provide any other details at the Commission. Thank you very much for your understanding," Lebeya stated. At the time of the alleged call by Malcolm X, reports indicate that police were effecting an arrest at Molefe's home concerning the murder of 30-year-old engineer, Armand Swart, who was shot 23 times inside in his vehicle by assailants travelling in a white vehicle, on April 17, 2024. As a result of ballistic reports and additional evidence on the AK47 used in Swart's murder, this week, Molefe was also slapped with additional charges for the alleged murder of another musician, Hector Buthelezi, known as DJ Vintos. The AK47 allegedly used in these two murders is also linked to the violent killing of Don Tindleni, and DJ Sumbody and the DJ's two bodyguards in Woodmead in November 2022. On Tuesday, Malcolm X, who in 2023 also appeared before the Alexandra Magistrate alongside three police officers on two counts of corruption and extortion, confirmed that he phoned Lebeya on the day Katiso 'KT' Molefe was arrested in December 2024, amid ongoing probes into the murder of popular musicians and other high-profile personalities. While speaking during a Space conversation on the social media platform X, the controversial businessman claimed that his consulting business, with interests in mining, law, and engineering has allowed him access to some of the biggest names in various industries. This comes as KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Lieutenant General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, in a widely circulated press briefing, alleged that certain businesspeople with ties to senior police figures were interfering with investigations. "I run a consulting business. My business allows me freedom and access to ministers, lawyers, doctors, police commissioners, and ministers. If you say you want to meet with the President, I can arrange you are to say to me how Lebeya and I met for the first time. I would say to you, I was consulted by a client, who said, Malcolm, can you meet Lebeya for me for this matter. I said to the client, I can do that. I had not met Lebeya at the time. I had spoken to him before that. I then called him and asked for a meeting, and he invited me to his office in Pretoria, then we met," he said. He added that on the day, he received a call from one of his clients, believed to be related to Molefe, who wanted him to ascertain if the law enforcement agencies outside Molefe's Sandton home were genuine police officers. As a result, he said, he drove for less than five minutes to Molefe's home, where his enquiries were met with resistance, prompting him to call Lebeya. "When one of my clients called me, saying there are people who say they are policemen and women at my brother's house, in Sandhurst, please verify if they are policemen or not. If they are policemen, please ask them if we can involve a lawyer. If my brother is being arrested, they can tell us where they are taking him... I went there and tried to speak to them...I then called the minister of police, but he did not pick up, and then I called Lebeya, and he picked up. I said to him, General, there are people here who claim they are policemen sent by you, the Hawks, but they will not produce their identification, can you verify?" Malcolm X said.
