Report – Inter Milan Could Use Fringe Center-Forward As Bargaining Chip To Sign Parma Defender

Yahoo21-07-2025
Inter Milan could seize Parma's interest in Sebastiano Esposito to materialize their long-term interest in Giovanni Leoni.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the 23-year-old could be a bargaining chip in a deal to sign the young gun.
Inter's pursuit of Leoni has been on hold as the club focuses on acquiring the services of Ademola Lookman.
However, the Italian defender remains one of Inter's priorities despite Parma's mammoth €40 million valuation.
Inter Milan to Use Sebastiano Esposito to Sign Giovanni Leoni
Parma's asking price isn't the only problem for Inter.
Indeed, Cristian Chivu's men face fierce competition from AC Milan and Liverpool.
Both teams have shown genuine interest in Giovanni Leoni, casting doubt on Inter's pursuit.
Yet, the Nerazzurri may have an ace up their sleeves.
It's no other than Sebastiano Esposito.
Already deemed surplus to requirements, the ex-Empoli loanee will leave the club one way or another.
Though Inter are open to selling their fringe striker, they could use him as a makeweight in a deal to sign Leoni.
After all, Parma have already contacted the San Siro outfit to ask for information about Esposito.

Luis Diaz arrives in Munich ahead of Bayern transfer

Luis Diaz (29) has arrived in Munich ahead of his proposed move from Liverpool to Bayern Munich. The Colombian attacker was spotted by Sky Germany journalist Kerry Hau, who added that despite a near 14-hour journey from Tokyo, Diaz will undergo his medical and contract signing with the Rekordmeister later today. This comes after Bayern Munich reached an agreement with Liverpool to sign Diaz for a reported €75m (£65.5m). After signing a four-year contract, the 29-year-old will earn an annual salary of €14m. Bayern Munich went into the transfer window with signing a left-sided attacker a priority and after missing out on several targets such as Bradley Barcola, Cody Gakpo and Rafael Leao, settled on Liverpool's Diaz who played 148 games across all competitions under Jurgen Klopp and Arne Slot, scoring 41 goals and providing 23 assists following his €49m transfer from Porto in January 2022. Liverpool clear STAGGERING Alexander Isak hurdle

Liverpool are willing to do what it takes to get Alexander Isak. That includes meeting his staggering demand. It's no secret that Liverpool want to sign Alexander Isak. The Reds have had him at the top of their shortlist for most of 2025 and went into this summer with every intention of getting a deal done. Newcastle want a record fee for their star and while Liverpool are willing to pay that, the Magpies still won't necessarily accept it. All we know for sure is that if Isak is to leave Newcastle, it will be for an enormous amount of money. He's pushing for a move, too, as confirmed by several places, and only to Liverpool. Though, it seems that won't be too simple, either. Isak has at least one incredible demand in order to move - so will the Reds meet it? Liverpool will meet Alexander Isak demands Ben Jacobs tells Talksport that Isak's reported wage demands of £300k per week would be met by Liverpool. The Reds can afford that - though it remains to be seen if he'd ask them to. That's the reported figure Isak is asking of Newcastle in order to renew his contract. They can't afford that, which is something we imagine he was entirely aware of. Isak, after all, wants to leave Newcastle. It stands to reason that he wouldn't have quite so high demands for a club he did want to play for, such as Liverpool. But it appears Liverpool could still afford those wages, should he ask for them. It does make some sense. Federico Chiesa, Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz are all on large salaries and expected to leave in the new few weeks. It frees up a lot of cash and room on the wage bill, even after Florian Wirtz joined.
