Fizzy drinks, eating certain foods and swallowing air when eating can all lead to bloating.
Water retention, constipation, stress and Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) can all trigger it too.
You might avoid triggers the best you can, but sometimes bloating can feel inescapable.
However, there is a treatment celebrities absolutely swear by to reduce it - lymphatic drainage.
Lymphatic drainage is a non-invasive treatment that's particularly popular in Brazil.
It's a lot like a gentle therapeutic massage and used to alleviate digestive issues, hormonal imbalance, and reduce cellulite.
Lymphatic drainage involves massaging inflamed areas with the fingertips in a clockwise motion to stimulate the lymph nodes.
And Love Island star Mal Nicol has revealed she swore by the technique on the show to look bikini-ready at all times.
in a TikTok video demonstating the technique, she said: "I genuinely did this, but I didn't know this was lymphatic drainage.
"I've always done it. Like, any time my belly's out, any time I've ever felt a bit bloated, I would put a bit of cream on so it's a bit glidy [and massage my stomach].
"I remember doing it in the villa when I was in my bikini.
"It's really gross. I do it both ways. I always end it this way, clockwise.
"It's very weird, but yeah, have a go this summer."
Mal's clip - captioned "burping my way to a flat tummy hahahahahh" - went viral with more than 1.6million views.
And social media users are loving her simple hack.
"Ur so real for this babe", one gushed.
A second insisted: "It acc helps so much."

A third echoed: "Crying, this is my new life hack now."
"Brb, burping myself rn", joked a fourth.
A fifth added: "Why is this so funny but such a good to know hack."
Meanwhile, a sixth said: "Love thissss, my new routine."
What are the after effects of lymphatic drainage?
Lymphatic drainage has physical, and mental benefits.
The treatment reduces swelling around the target area, but it can also leave you feeling calmer, energised and more focused.
Physiotherapist and lymphatic drainage expert, Flavia Morellato, has worked her wonders on Maya Jama, as well as supermodel Lottie Moss, presenters Rochelle Humes, Vogue Williams, and singers Ellie Goulding and Anne-Marie.
She explains: 'After treatment, reduced bloating or constipation are the main benefits, and it helps settle IBS flare-ups.
'You feel lighter, flatter and less bloated.
'But it also helps with brain fog, memory, and improves your mental health, as some feel more energised, with greater focus and concentration.
"But, it depends on each individual.'
When is the best time to have lymphatic drainage?
'There is no best treatment time,' says Flavia.
'Lymphatic treatments are recommended to flush out toxins and excess water retention from progesterone (PMS), but it is beneficial after a period to help with body detoxification.'
While the effects of lymphatic drainage can be noticeable immediately, they can also last for up to ten days post treatment, depending on your metabolism and lifestyle, which is why Flavia recommends MLD every ten days.

Love Island final descends into chaos as islanders Tommy and Ben admit to kissing the SAME girl at recent event in shock confession

The Love Island Final descended into chaos on Monday evening after two of the past male islanders admitted to kissing the same girl during a club appearance. As Maya Jama was joined by a host of former islanders, Tommy held his hands up as he admitted his relationship with Lucy was over after his recent antics. Speaking candidly Tommy confessed: 'I'll hold my hands up it was my fault. 'I was at an event, and I had about five Blue Lagoon cocktails... and there was this girl..' As the cast and crowd exclaimed Tommy admitted he had shared a kiss with the girl at the event. However he wasn't the only one as Ben also revealed he had shared a kiss at the same event... and it transpired it was the same girl. While Lucy seemed less annoyed as she explained her and Tommy weren't exclusive, Andrada was less than impressed with her man's behaviour. Fans were furious as they took to Twitter to share their anger at the boys actions. They penned: 'ben & tommy both making out with the same girl at the same event. literally thee worst group of men ever casted'; 'Whoever was the girl who got with Tommy and Ben, need to get her a love island contest asap lol'; 'tommy and ben both kissing the same girl a week after being out the villa… please stop letting these men into the villa'; 'Tommy and Ben?? The same girl???'; 'I wanna know who the girl was that kissed Tommy and Ben at that event'; 'Tommy and Ben both kissing the same girl at this event has me screaming I need to know who she is!' Toni and Cach were crowned the winners of Love Island as this year's series drew to a close on Monday evening. The pair beat Harry and Shakira to first place in one of the most dramatic summer's of the ITV reality show. Toni has made history as the first American contestant to enter the UK Love Island villa and her and Cach seem set on making their relationship work despite the transatlantic distance. Meanwhile Angel and Ty finished in fourth after receiving the fewest public votes, with Yasmin and Jamie finishing in third. Toni and Cach had a rocky beginning after meeting during Casa Amor. However it wasn't long until the pair found themselves in a major love triangle with Harrison in a dramatic week. Yet once Harrison decided to leave the villa with Lauren, Toni set her sights on Cach and the pair have gone from strength to strength. Toni and Cach won despite the bookies odds revealing it was Harry and Shakira in the running to win, just hour ahead of the live final.

Love Island contestants were so randy during 'particularly feral year' in show's history that bosses 'had to stock up on condoms'

This year's Love Island put itself on the reality TV map for being one of the steamiest seasons in recent memory. The islanders were so frisky, in fact, that the producers had to order more condoms mere days into filming. A source told The Sun: 'It's been a long while since there was as much action in the bedroom as this year. 'When Harry and Helena went into the hideaway on the third day, it set the ball rolling and it's been a particularly feral year. 'There's been duvet tents almost every night. 'Duty of care is paramount so once it became apparent that the 2025 cast were a frisky bunch, producers took the decision to stock up on condoms.' One of the most eye-popping moments from this year's Love Island was when footballer Harrison Solomon, 22, asked Harry Cooksley, 30, to pass him a condom in the middle of the night. Harry was happy to oblige his friend and could be seen on screen passing him a condom. Lauren Wood, 26, then climbed on top of Harrison before the camera panned away to show the islanders' shocked faces. The islanders certainly played into producers' hands this season after they made several changes to encourage sexual activity. 'If sex happens, we'll show it. The Hideaway will be open 24 hours,' Mike Spencer, Love Island's Creative Director said. He added: 'We need to keep the show fresh and exciting. After 10 years, the stats speak for themselves. The show will continue to thrive.' And although the usual play of Love Island is to couple up with one other person from the opposite sex - bosses said they were hoping for potential throuples in the villa this year as they 'tear up the rule book' and install new furniture to help encourage bonking and create drama. One of the new additions included a trampoline bed that sits across the swimming pool, and the Love Island exec has insisted it has been tested for up to four people. The secret hideaway - which included a bed and hot tub - was open 24 hours a day for those that aren't coupled up. Speaking ahead of the 10-year anniversary series of the hit reality show, Mike told the Mail: 'There's a new trampoline bed, that would be good for throuples. 'It can take the weight of four, we've checked. It's all about keeping the show fresh and exciting. And that's what we've got.' The producers' desire for a threesome was fulfilled too, with at least one taking place and bombshell Yasmin Pettet, 24, openly suggesting the possibility upon her arrival. While it's not known exactly how many condoms were supplied to the 2025 islanders, previous reports suggested that producers dispersed 200 around the villa.

Fronting Netflix's Love Is Blind UK, with wife Emma, seems to have eclipsed his band's success of four chart-topping singles and a number one album in just one year. 'And we had a few people turn up and go, 'We didn't know you were in a band. We know you from Love Is Blind, so we thought we'd come and see your band'. 'I was like, 'Cool, welcome'. I love it.' Matt and Emma are back to present a second series of the show that follows singles who try to find their perfect partner, sight unseen, to get engaged and marry on the show. It is Emma's first big project on screen since undergoing keyhole surgery earlier this year to repair a hole in her heart. Love Is Blind UK was filmed last year and now she is well enough to be out promoting the run. She said: 'It's really nice to be back. It was nice to have a little time off to recover and focus on what I needed to do. But now it's full steam ahead and back to work, which is nice.' Two couples from series one are still happily married, so are Matt and Emma worried about delivering on series two, which drops on Netflix from August 13? Emma said: 'We filmed it straight after the reunion for series one so the characters from season one were so fresh. I was like, 'How are we ever going to match that?' ' Matt added: 'Watching it happen, being part of the show, you're just rooting for them.' Love is Blind UK podcast gets a new host Despite the trend for shows to have celebrity spin-offs, Emma doesn't think that could ever work here. She said: 'You'd constantly be trying to guess who it was, wouldn't you? 'There'd be certain people that you'd absolutely know who it was. Imagine if Rylan was in there, or Alan Carr. 'You'd be like, 'That's f***ing Rylan!' '
