50 Cent Echoes 'Snitch' Allegations Against Demetrius 'Big Meech' Flenory, Flenory Responds

Yahoo12-02-2025

50 Cent has continued to wage war against Demetrius 'Big Meech' Flenory's street credibility, as the rapper-turned-film and TV exec has doubled down on allegations that Flenory 'snitched' on a former business associate.
On Monday (Feb. 10), Fif responded to a rebuttal by Flenory regarding him being a 'rat,' sharing the Black Mafia founder's statement with his own social media followers.
In the clip, Meech refutes any allegations of him cooperating with law enforcement, adding that he didn't plan on responding to Fif, but has chosen to for his 'loved ones, friends, and family.'
He also accused 50 of attempting to 'trick [him] off the streets,' reiterating that he 'never folded, never told — never will. Death before dishonor, always.'
In the same post, the Queens. N.Y. native mocked Flenory's message, accusing him of 'tricking' incarcerated drug kingpin Dionne 'Cuffy' Gatling out of his freedom through Flenory's dealings with known federal informant Tammy Cowins.
Cowins, a producer of BMF, 50 Cent's hit Starz series based on the rise and fall of Flenory's criminal empire, previously worked with Flenory on business endeavors such as his foray into the world of TV and film, securing the rights to Flenory's life story at one point in time.
'You told Tammy to tell, bi**h,' Fif said, referring to claims that Flenory participated in 'third-party cooperation,' which is when someone gives incriminating information to an informant, who then uses that information in their own cooperatiog with law enforcement.
The Get Rich or Die Tryin' creator also warned that multiple artists billed to appear at Meech's 'Welcome Back' concert may not be present, claiming that Flenory himself won't be able to attend due to the conditions of his release.
'Y'all gon' be disappointed if Lil Baby don't show up? When Skilla [Baby] don't show up? When [Icewear] Vezzo don't show up? When all these muthafuckas don't show up?' he said. '[Meech] can't even go! He on house arrest.'
Accusing Flenory of reading off a teleprompter, 50 would reiterate his sentiments in the post's caption, referring to Meech as 'Big Screech' and continuing to foreshadow disappointment for those who choose to purchase tickets to the Detroit native's 'Welcome Back' concert.
In a subsequent post, the 49-year-old continued to taunt Flenory, mocking the former drug kingpin's delivery of his statement and accusing him of having a social media manager.
Tensions between 50 and Flenory seemingly began after Flenory was seen in a clip alongside Rick Ross promoting Meech's upcoming 'Welcome Back' concert, which is scheduled for Thursday (Feb. 13), in Miami.
Ross, one of Fif's staunchest rivals, announced that he will perform 'B.M.F.,' his hit single inspired by Flenory, live in front of the street legend for the first time.

The Weeknd Might Not Be Retiring His Music Persona After All

The Weeknd has teased that Hurry Up Tomorrow— his sixth album and upcoming film of the same name— also marks the end of the artist fans have grown to love for over 15 years. However, that may not necessarily be the case. While promoting the film at CinemaCon 2025, Abel Tesfaye told EW that this moment feels like both a death and resurrection. 'It feels like it [the end of the Weeknd]. I mean, I've kind of toyed with the idea in the past with albums,' he noted. 'But it could also just be a rebirth. Who knows?' Back in January, the 35-year-old announced plans to retire his alter ego. 'It's a headspace I've gotta get into that I just don't have any more desire for,' he explained to Variety. 'You have a persona, but then you have the competition of it all. It becomes this rat race: more accolades, more success, more shows, more albums, more awards and more No. 1s. It never ends until you end it.' Hurry Up Tomorrow marks the conclusion in the trilogy that began with 2020's After Hours, which was followed by 2022's Dawn FM. The film follows a fictionalized version of himself, also named Abel, who gets taken on an insane ride by a seductive stranger, Anima (Jenna Ortega). Director Trey Edward Shults, shared with EW in February that he 'tried to make the movie in a way where, for his fans and people who want to approach it at that level, I hope it's very satisfying and you get a good meal out of it.' Shults confirmed that it was an 'absolute possibility' that the movie would be The Weeknd's last hurrah chapter, adding 'For people that aren't his fans and don't know anything about him or even care about the final capping of the Weeknd, I think you still have a great movie to go through.' The Weeknd considers the film to be 'really introspective and cathartic.' It hits theaters this Friday.
