On Sunday, Selena Gomez shared new photos with Benny Blanco at the wedding of friends Lil Dicky and Kristin Batalucco. Blanco worked with Dave star Lil Dicky on his hit show and they are close friends. In the pictures, Gomez wore a sleeveless red halter dress with a mock turtle neckline. She had a fuzzy black coat as a cover-up which she allowed to slide off of her shoulders in a short video clip in which she dabbed on her new Rare Beauty parfum.
Blanco wore a dark blue suit over a black button-down, open at the neck to reveal his layered gold necklaces. Gomez captioned her carousel of pictures from the ceremony and reception: 'About last nights wedding 💒'
The star accessorized with chainlink earrings and wore her hair in a sleek updo. She had on a full glam makeup look by Jenna Nicole. The celebrity makeup artist posted shots of Gomez's makeup on her timeline on Sunday as well, showing off the smokey eye and red lip color that matched the Only Murders in the Building star's dress.
Gomez shared another makeup look from Nicole in her Instagram Stories on Sunday in which she is wearing a black halter and has her hair down in flowing waves. In those selfies, she wore her marquise diamond engagement ring from Blanco. The couple has been engaged since December 2024.
On August 7, in an episode of the podcast Therapuss with Jake Shane, Gomez shared that she and her fiancé first met when she was 16 to work on a project that never came through.
'I feel like he was an acquaintance, if that makes sense,' she said. 'To be honest, we weren't besties. I just thought he was nice, and then we did a few songs together.'
But when they met yet again a few years ago, romance blossomed. Though Gomez said she 'couldn't be more excited,' the wedding is not happening anytime soon.
'There's so much happening at the moment,' she explained. 'He's working on some projects that he has to wrap up, and we just have things we want to finish and our own personal endeavors before we get into all the nitty-gritty. I just have really never felt so sure about something, and I also don't want to jinx it by saying that.'

Seth MacFarlane shared the need for more hopeful stories in Hollywood amid a plethora of dark projects released in recent years. "And yeah, there's a lot to be pessimistic about, but it's so one-sided." MacFarlane said while he enjoys shows like The Handmaid's Tale, he's become fatigued with dystopian narratives. The Family Guy creator noted that every time he drives down Beverly Boulevard, he only sees billboards for horror films and other "negative" projects. "They're certainly giving us a lot of cautionary tales, but where are the blueprints that they once gave us for how to do things correctly?" he said. "It can't all be just, 'Here's what's going to happen to you if you f--- up.' You do need, 'Here's what you can achieve if you change your ways and do things right.'" The actor added that Hollywood has become obsessed with anti-heroes "ever since Tony Soprano." This has created good television, he said, but in the case of a show like The White Lotus, "no one is someone you'd want to be." Part of the entertainment industry's job, MacFarlane said, is to create characters that inspire people to be better. "That's the only thing really that Hollywood can do that's worthwhile because as we all learned from this election, nobody gives a f--- what celebrities think," he said. "We can tweet, we can talk. Like, people don't care. They don't care. What we do do well is tell stories. And we're not doing the best job right now of telling those stories in a way that gives people hope."
